It looks like you had so much fun with this Lebanese family. This is the real Lebanese hospitality especially among towns & villages. They taught you how to dance the dabkeh, local folklore dance. Your filming is so raw & genuine, and I like it this way.
This family was so amazing with me, really unbelievable people.

Am Assyrian from Iraq living in Australia now ,I was there in Lebanon 2018 and qadeshat Valley was my favourite place , you feel the peace and the voice of the nature.
It was a refuge and a safe place for Christians during Ottoman empire time.

Hi Yves, curious how you were charging the bicycle batteries given the serious lack of electricity in Lebanon. Is 2 hours a day sufficient to charge the batteries? Did you figure out when the power was going to be on and made sure the bicycle was plugged during those hours?
Hi JS, no, 2 hours a day would really not be enough to recharge the batteries. Though, everywhere I stayed, people were buying additional electricity coming from private generators making that they had electricity most of the day. That's why I was able to recharge easily.

@@KinoYves There is a difference in how the elderly interact here with you and in Beka . Here you see the humbleness, kindness in their eyes and behaviour. There the father was cold and indifferent to you. If I am wrong please correct me. Maybe the father in Beka wanted you to leave as he must have known his son and cousin.
@@alexmirhos1642 Yes, it was a bit different, at first the parents in the Beka were a bit cold, but after two days they were getting warmer, and they somehow helped me understand the situation I was in, through their behavior.

The Iranian family you met in Turkey were Iranians to the core, honest, kind and hospitable. Iranians in general are very kind and hospitable but this time if you go to Iran , just be a bit on your guard as economic sanctions imposed on Iranians have caused economic havoc and hardship and crime rate has increased substantially. I myself noticed it and was very careful with my mobile phone and purse. Don't accept invitations in poor areas and don't accept free drinks or food in desolate places. I am an Iranian and I have never felt unsafe but this time I noticed a difference the way some people behaved when I exchanged my money to Iranian currency. My family warned me everyday to be careful and I was always accompanied by my brothers at night. They wouldn't let me go out alone when it was dark.
