In 77 years, India has proven these naysayers wrong. Palki Sharma brings you one of the greatest underdog stories in history.

Churchill is partially right looking at where Pakistan & Bangladesh are now. India had a visionary leader in Nehru who laid a strong foundation for progress and modern thinking. Subsequent leaders like Shastri, Indira, Rajeev, Rao, Vajpayee, Manmohan Singh all built on the work of their predecessors. Under PM Modi, there's a further recognition of India on the world stage. We had many shortcomings and still have in our democracy but the Indian people are basically resilient and have imbibed the virtues of democracy. India happened in the last 77 yrs not just in the last 5 or 10 years as Palki described. Our people and leaders over decades deserve the credit for this

People often compare India with established nations like Japan, the USA, and European countries and laugh at our progress. Even we, as Indians, sometimes do the same.
But it's important to remember where we stood just 77 years ago. Our life expectancy was around 32 years, and the literacy rate was < 20%.
Now, look at how far we've come. My grandfather, who’s in his nineties, has witnessed this transformation firsthand.
Yes, we still have a long way to go. But climbing from the depths to where we are today is a victory in itself.

Infact the gains made by Indian Army were all returned back to Pak. A new country who's illegal immigrants keep pouring into India was created and today that country is in a mess. First Islamists and then English. Many fear to be vocal about this resistance that Indians have given for 1000 years where as most other civilizations were completely removed from the face of the history. Chinese were saved as it was not invaded directly even though attempts were made and Islamists failed to create the internal strife.

The Mongols and Uyghurs in China have their own writing, culture, surnames, and clusters. The Manchus no longer have Manchu characters, surnames, culture and customs. The Soviet Union also was experimenting with Communism and it was a new experiment. But the Soviet experiment survived from 1917 to 1991; a total of 74 years.
Indian experiment in Democracy has survived longer and is still continuing to survive.

The tale of India is not one of an "Underdog defying odds," but rather the journey of an ancient civilization coming full circle-from a golden age to ashes, now rising once more towards its destined glory.
Bharat must remind the world that its history stretches back not merely to 1947, but to the depths of time, spanning at least 7,000 to 9,000 years. The European empires, newcomers in the grand tapestry of human civilization, carved their legacy through exploitation and conquest. Yet, as the wheel of Karma turns, their decline is already upon them, and it won't be long before this cycle fully claims the likes of the US and UK. In this shifting global order, Bharat must draw from its ancient wisdom, stepping forward with confidence and strength. The Gandhian philosophy, while noble, belongs more to the pages of history than to the battlefield of civilizations
