Hi Sophie. The earrings you bought are traditional earrings of Konavle (place near Dubrovnik) and the round pendant is a "Button of Šibenik", another small Croatian coast town further up north.
Been a while since I commented but I just wanted to say I really appreciate how much you care about your subscribers and take the time to read out and respond to letters, it just warms my heart 🥺 Also gals you enjoyed your much needed break and thanks for showing us around Dubrovnik, it’s now higher up on my list of places to travel to! Love to you and David! 💗
Greetings from fellow Croatian! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay there, I love the traditional earnings you picked! Dubrovnik actually banned McDonalds from coming in the old city, because they did not want to negatively impact the brand and image of the city.
We loved it there, the food, people and weather were all fantastic! I shall confess that we still have holiday blues at being back!😫 Ahhh I understand now about the brands, it’s not that we missed them….actually, every street in the U.K. looks the same with them all, so it was very different to not see them. Thank you for explaining, I just told david and he’s like “ahhh I get it, that makes sense to keep the historical feel” hugs xx
That is a good move, I am not saying that chain stores are horrible, but it is boring to see these places in every city you visit. Good on Croatia for staying authentic
As someone living in Croatia, when you said that Givenchy bag was around 23000 kunas, that's about what I make in six months. My salary is somewhat below average but I still don't know anyone with a regular job who is able to afford luxury brands on our salaries. That is why there probably aren’t many luxury stores. It should also explain why the food and drinks feel well-priced to you, I always saw Dubrovnik as potentially the priciest location in Croatia.
We missed you Sophie! Thank you for sharing your trip and thank you for sharing your story about the cancer you had when you were a child. I know it helps many people when people like you speak out as it made me feel understood since I have a close family member with cancer. Every one of your videos lights up my day! Have a great week :)
Hi Sophie, you are an epitome of a real influencer. You've inspired lots of women not just with fashion but with how you handle the challenges in life as well ❤
Lovely trip. Oh Sophie. You have THE best advice. I love it when you read mail and give such great advice. You are amazing. Always get excited when you post. I appreciate you so much.
Hey Sofie! Just recently added 2 new handbags to my collection : the Fendi First and the Coach Pillow Tabby. Your showing us your Coach Pillow Tabby in a video made me want one for myself. Can you do a video showcasing your collection thus far? It’s been forever since you’ve did a video showing your entire collection. Sending hugs and a smile from the U.S!
Karl Lagerfeld is awesome. I own a couple of bags from this brand. He was the main guy for the revival of Chanel in recent years and also was a creative powerhouse for Tommy Hilfiger and Fendi. So if you are looking for quality items at a lesser price than Fendi or Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld is a good option. You’re basically buying same thing.

Hi lovely Sophie. Another wonderful video. It brought tears to my in mail time when you spoke about bereavement and about Nonna. My mum is going to pass anytime now and am already grieving. I am on tender hooks every minute of the day and night waiting for the dreaded phone call. She has been very ill with many different conditions including Leukemia, Lung disease , Ahlziemers/ dementia, she has been bedridden and hasn't walked for 7 years now and there's even more. I know it will be better for her to go and to know she is finally at peace but it is just so hard and I can't imagine life without her. Even though she has been so ill for so long it doesn't make it any easier. Such a hard time for everyone to go through. My heart goes out to Nonna and all who are in the same position. Much love. Yes, grief is so complex. My grandmother who was everything to me passed 12 years ago when I was 15, but I still have moments when I break because my grief changes as I age. During transitions in my life and I would yearn for her comfort and wisdom or when my career started to grow and I couldn’t share celebrating that with her. My grandmother is the root of my love for luxury, success, and compassion for others. However, I laugh way more than I cry when I think of her and all her clumsiness and blonde moments.
Lovely video! You are probably the only person in your genre worth the time of day to write a letter to, so it's always lovely when you read people's letters. Hope you, David and the bunnies are well.

@@SophieShohetOfficial yes, thank you. It’s just one of those small things that put your week out of kilter. I am excited to see Dubrovnik, it’s on my bucket list 🇭🇷
I've just come back from Split Croatia & I found quite a few individual boutiques. Some from local quality designers. There was a Zara, Max Mara, Tommy Hilfiger, MAC if you want that sort of thing. The usual tourist tat too. Maybe Dubrovnik caters more for the tourist element. I bought a couple of things from a boutique called Mona. They have an online store too. Some interesting stuff.

I love the Croatian trip, I ended up searching up the earrings then I ended up getting a set with pearls but they do look different but in sterling silver from Croatia through Etsy. The style is so unique I love it. I’m excited.
Wow long but wonderful video. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I was surprised at the end when I saw how long it was. That tells you how interested I was. I love it when you read letters it’s like eavesdropping on a conversation at the next table. Lol.
Very relaxing vlog. Thank you for sharing it with us Sophie! I like that they didn’t have any mainstream places. Felt more like a real getaway. Sorry you left half your clothes though. 💗

I really enjoy mail time, you really do give good advice..but not just that, it’s the fact that you are genuine and you truly are interested in what people have to say. Thank you for being so nice. 💕🇨🇦
Hi Sophie, Loved this video, dubrovnik looks beautiful. The ball necklace is lovely. I didn't realise you made jewelry, it's the one of the few crafts I haven't tried. I love the navy bag with the white piping. Excellent mail time, one of my favourite parts of your videos. Stay safe x
Thank you for the video. Fabulous tips about job hunting as always. Especially telling people to use the experience acquired in dud jobs to relate to higher level jobs.
My style "AH-HA" style moment was when I discovered the Kibbe body types! It takes into account everyone's individual bone, muscle, fat structure, proportions etc. It makes such a difference! So many different body types can have an hourglass waist, apple, pear, or rectangle shape, but when you try on pieces that correspond with your Kibbe type, it's like magic! It's worth looking into, at least just for fun :)
Hey Sophie, I'm glad you liked Dubrovnik. The earrings are called "rećine", read something like "rechine", but give it an Eastern European "R", not a "rah". 😅 The word itself just means "earrings" in a Dubrovnik dialect. They were typically worn for weddings and gala events. The pendant (or the ball-like jewelry piece you can also find in earrings and full necklaces) is called "Peružina". There are many different styles, you can research a little if you're interested. This jewelry dates back to the 13th century. Dubrovnik is for relaxing, eating, enjoying the views, island hopping... You will find some high street fashion at the mall, but not in the old town. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. I know there are some random little shops, but they are local and tiny, therefore not suitable for Zara. You would have a little more luck with luxury fashion in Zagreb and Split, but only a little. We go to Italy for that, haha. Just FYI, if you ever come back. 😉❤️
I used to stay in Dubrovnik years ago, when the country was still called Yugoslavia. I remember there not being many shops in the city back then, just market stalls. Isn't that jewellery shop just beautiful?!
Hey Liz! You’re so right, the jewellery shops there were beautiful, the shop in this vid with all the chains hanging in the window was amazing to look at xxx
Hi Sophie. I visited Dubrovnic some 8 yrs ago and enjoyed the visit. It is a special town the way it was built. After the long covid period it is great to travel again and get the feeling of returning to "normal" life. About " not finding H&M or other high street shops" we have in every town here both on the Continent and in Britain. Should we really? Personally, I rather enjoy finding local designs, often very beautiful handicrafts and entirely different designs we do not have at home. As an example, you bought very pretty jewelry and that beautiful top. This is a matter of taste naturally, so please, do not get upset. I am not judging you. I have visited appr. 32 countries ( 50% work-related trips) and only in one of those places I felt there was nothing to see, eat or buy. (I was very young then.) But, after all, I was wrong. Pancakes soaked in 45% liqueur tasted wonderful for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. I drink alcohol very seldom, - back then those pancakes kept my tummy full and my mind happy. I cannot remember much of that long week.

Ouch, Sinus issues are horrible! The nasal drip thing is such an annoyance too. I hope you recover as soon as possible, operations aren't nice but if it solves such an issue it's worth it xxx
@@SophieShohetOfficial yes, thank you. It’s just one of those small things that put your week out of kilter. I am excited to see Dubrovnik, it’s on my bucket list 🇭🇷
Dubrovnik!!!! 😍 welcome to my home country, I hope you had a great time and will come back again 😊
"This guy's foot has come off and I think they are hoping to fix that" LOL 😂
🤣🤣😅
I've just come back from Split Croatia & I found quite a few individual boutiques. Some from local quality designers. There was a Zara, Max Mara, Tommy Hilfiger, MAC if you want that sort of thing. The usual tourist tat too. Maybe Dubrovnik caters more for the tourist element. I bought a couple of things from a boutique called Mona. They have an online store too. Some interesting stuff.
I absolutely love your content and thank you so much for all time honest reviews of everything ❤️❤️❤️
Ive missed you! I’m updating with your videos! I wasn’t able to the the last you’ve uploaded! The great part is that I get to binge watch!🕺🏻💫Greetings from Honduras🤍🤍🤍
Hello Leyroy! I feel like I haven't spoken to you here in months! I hope you're keeping well? Enjoy the vid, it's kinda long, you'll need a free 1hr lol! xx
Hi Sophie!
I'm so glad you like the cross stitch! 🥰 I sent a letter containing some pictures and I didn't know if you got it. So glad this one arrived. Xx
Hi Sophie, thank you for the lovely video. I like your Mail time. You always give good and kind advice. Lovely travel blog!
Loved this vlog, the white top is stunning!! Also love the jewellery you chose, so pretty. Always enjoy your content as it’s not the same old that others churn out x
Letters..........a blast from the past and much needed!
I love the Croatian trip, I ended up searching up the earrings then I ended up getting a set with pearls but they do look different but in sterling silver from Croatia through Etsy. The style is so unique I love it. I’m excited.
Hope you enjoyed your trip ✨
Wow long but wonderful video. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I was surprised at the end when I saw how long it was. That tells you how interested I was. I love it when you read letters it’s like eavesdropping on a conversation at the next table. Lol.
Very relaxing vlog. Thank you for sharing it with us Sophie! I like that they didn’t have any mainstream places. Felt more like a real getaway. Sorry you left half your clothes though. 💗
Thank you for your videos 🥰 such a welcomed distraction during lockdown here in Australia 🇦🇺
Love this video 🥰 Croatia looks amazing..love the jewelry and what a steal on that white top..it gives me Zimmerman vibes. I really enjoy mail time, you really do give good advice..but not just that, it’s the fact that you are genuine and you truly are interested in what people have to say. Thank you for being so nice. 💕🇨🇦
Hi Sophie,
Loved this video, dubrovnik looks beautiful. The ball necklace is lovely. I didn't realise you made jewelry, it's the one of the few crafts I haven't tried. I love the navy bag with the white piping.
Excellent mail time, one of my favourite parts of your videos. Stay safe x
Wonderful place. The white top is so pretty on you. Great vlog as always.
We went to Dubrovnik a few years ago and it’s just phenomenal, easily one of my top 3 places in all of Europe. It’s just divine.
It’s very true!!xx
The jewelry was beautiful😍
I used to stay in Dubrovnik years ago, when the country was still called Yugoslavia. I remember there not being many shops in the city back then, just market stalls. Isn't that jewellery shop just beautiful?!
Hey Liz! You’re so right, the jewellery shops there were beautiful, the shop in this vid with all the chains hanging in the window was amazing to look at xxx
Your skin always looks good but even better in the outdoor vaca footage!
Hi Sophie and David 🥰 so enjoyed this video ur holiday looked amazing and honestly u looked beautiful in ur hubby’s shorts 🤣 I had to giggle..Sophie you are such a beautiful and cAring person so genuine u feel it when u do ur mail haul..love and blessings to you and David keep shining the beautiful star that u are♥️🙏🇳🇿

We’ve missed you Ms. Sophie 🥺💕
You are so sweet Kristine :) In my head I still have 100 subs and get 40 views on a good day, so when I miss a vid it's like.... no one will notice lol! Hugs xx

I always look forward to your videos, just watched one from 3 yrs ago that I'd missed when you were in Paris with Dior, An Lee was there and you guys seemed to have a blast. Just loved watching that
I keep having work anxiety so severe that I become paralyzed. Good to hear that I'm not alone.
Really enjoyed seeing a travel vlog from you, especially as we can’t travel from Australia at the moment. Also lovely to hear the sweet letters. 💗

Dubrovnik looks like a very relaxing place, beautiful! I haven’t heard the word pedal pusher for a long time, that’s what we call the ankle pants when I was younger☺️

Lovvv the pharmacy… great video!!
Nice,
It's so nice, Sophie, that you and David went to such an amazing place! Sad, though, to see homeless cats when we all travel. 😢
39:11 Please, where is it possible to buy the wooden bag?
Vernisage in Yerevan Armenia, if I find the Artisan details I'll send you 💗
Absolutely beautiful place. I’ve never been to Europe or the UK. I was supposed to do a UK tour last year with my 2 adult children but then Covid came. I have family in the UK, Scotland & Ireland. I think I’m going to start travelling when things get a little better.
OMG, I love the black dress in the window.
What is that olive bag with pearls 👀👀👀 So beautiful! And that 7£ top, so pretty and looks so good on you~
And Nona 💔 I had the very same thing going to visit my family this summer.. My mom passed last summer and it was the first time going there after.
I was so scared to go, and, of course, it was so difficult to be there 😞 I don't know when it will become easier, but you are not alone
Hugs to you Natari ❤❤❤
Grabbed my wine for this one lol the earrings look fabulous on u!
Hi Sophie,
I have been your fans for about 1 year. Your videos always carry a positive energy, are full of fun and elegance yet humble and honest. You also influence a lot of my fashion points of view and boost my confidence. I have bought my first ever Lady Dior card holder in Rouge from Harrods a couple of days ago and love it so much. From your videos, I truly believe that the House of Dior focus on quality and customer experience, help dress men and women in the most classy, elegant and fun way possible. I have set my next goal for this Christmas which will be the ABC Lady Dior - wish me luck!
P/s: I always love your make up style - very natural and pretty! I wonder if you can do a video on your make up routine (daily/evening) - I am sure everyone would love it!
Gabie xx
Hello lovely Gabie! Firstly, congratulations on your new Dior card holder, the colour you've chosen is beautiful! I do agree with you, I think Dior are fantastic for quality but also customer service. I love how friendly they always are.
You're so kind for your compliments too. I really appreciate you and the fact you watch. I'm lucky to have you all as you're all so friendly and sweet! Hugs to you and let me know if you get the ABC Lady Dior at Christmas!xxx
Hi Sophie, missed you!!! Bit late today, did look earlier to see if you had posted but an hour isn't too late for most people lol. Off to watch now. Hugs xx
