I forgot to add my Basil plants update. They're all doing awesome! When your plant goes thru shock it will: -look like crap -wilted, weak, maybe some leaf death It WILL bounce back! May take a week or two but it will. That's where the root hormone helps!
I like how you don't talk like ur in a commercial. It's more realistic, so I appreciate the attitude more and I relate more as well. Also very informative. Keep it real homie.
Just found this video and your channel today, so thrilled to see these experiments! I was just given an Aerogarden and me and my ADHD brain also want to do a science with it! Love seeing your (and I mean this as positively as possible so please take it that way) low-rent experiments, really makes me want to do more myself!!
I ordered one yesterday and I wanted to use my own seeds to start the type of plants I wanted and get them rooted enough to put in soil like you are doing. Thank you for showing it is possible. I love the way you teach without making me feel less than. Great channel 👍
Oh my heavens this is kind of like the stuff I do. I have five Hydroponic gardens and I must say once an arrow garden and the other four are knock offs on Amazon and they're not anywhere as close to being good but I experiment constantly and I buy a lot of seeds on eBay. Just ordered those micro tomatoes seeds. It is a lot of fun and a lot of work thanks
When I have heavily rooted plants I want to pot up I've figured out if you take the pointed end of a skewer or something kind of pointed and you use the plastic as a guide. You can use the skewer to run along the plastic and part the roots and you can detangle it and the roots come right out on the plant with minimal damage! Hope it helps☺️
I think I remember seeing a video once where the dude snipped out like, every other plastic bit in the pod, so there are still just enough to hold the sponge in, but much easier to remove it. This was before starting it in the Aerogarden though.
Watching you garden reminds me of how I garden, usually involves a bunch of oh shits, I'm getting a entry level uruq system off of Amazon to try to get a feel for these systems, I was thinking of trying gel rooting hormone on the cutting and poke it through the bottom like you did for cuttings, seems like doing clones like that would make it a breeze
Although this is a year old, the timing was perfect. I will be transferring pods from a tabletop unit to a DWC bucket and was thinking about how I would do it.
So a bit of a trick when you plan to pot up your aerogarden plants. After you detatch the roots from the basket, I lightly wrap the top of the sponge with tin foil and pop it back in the aerogarden. Gives the plant a bit of time to recover from the root damage in a familiar, hydroponic environment. Once it's past the worst of the shock, you move to soil, keep it really wet, and place it right next to your Aerogarden. That way, it's following similar light cycles, similar temperature, and it is only having to adapt to the soil. So yeah, more steps, and it takes longer, but it works!
Put a cut in the top, and the first band of the cup before planting, then wrap it with a small piece of tape, so when you are ready to transplant, you just have to cut the tape and remove the plant. Easy Peasy!
Oh those poor roots, they got ripped up good, I also feel the pain. I know this video is a year old and you might already be doing this but here's my suggestion. First step is to cut the plastic holder with one vertical slice. To hold it together just tape the cut on the top label then add the pod and seed as normal. When you're ready to transplant simply cut the tape and open up the plastic holder like a clamshell. Your roots will thank you later with an extra bountiful harvest!
Loved your video, super funny 😄when you snatched the one plant out without cutting 😧I realized I was holding my breath and clenching my teeth (definitely the worst way) lol. New subscriber. I have two aerogardens I just started about 2 months ago and some of the plants are taking over, I think I want to place my tomatoes and jalapenos into soil but I have not a clue of what to do...hence searching for videos. Thanks again
U can buy those additionally but for budget sake u can coverl with aluminum foil. The paper blocked the light. Light on certain grow mediums(pods included) encourages algae growth
😂sorry. I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing w you. I went through the same thing w the same plant. I just cut roots and plastic and planted them in soil. Only 1 out of 4 survived
Your video is so chaotic and full of trial and errors. On top of that, you are so unruly. It make it like watch your crazy fun aunty explaining how she does things. Just don't tell your mommy. lol

I 3D print my own net cups. I designed a pot that comes apart in sections. No root damage, then re-snap together the net pot.

She’s hilarious! Love it! 🥰
I totally relate! I’m addicted to this stuff. I love how you keep on experimenting. Keep up the good work! Bravo! 😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love that you just winged it and followed up and tried something new if one thing didn't work.

This video was really cool! Nice to see a video up! The notification bell comes in really handy to make sure I watch your videos when you upload.

I couldn’t watch the basil scream. Going to try the skewers. 😂
Thanks for sharing your experiments. You helped me look at my Aerogarden differently.
Ya never know what's possible without a little experimentation!😉
The plastic label on to keeps down the algae. Try cutting rock-wool squares to replace aero pods.

What is the name of the rooting powder & where can I get it? Loved the video ❤ thanks

Thanks so much! Enjoy experimenting 🌻🌻
I was just thinking about getting an Aerogarden. This video is awesome!!
Thanks so much!🌻
My ggguuurrlllllll.. Thanks I've just gotten 2 brand new aerogardens n can't wait to try it.. thanks as always for your videos
Ooo fun!!! Hope ya grow some great stuff!
you're hilarious. your industriousness is inspiring. i just got one of these bad boys and looking for some idea.
Oof good word "industriousness". That's def me I scored good on that when I took a personality test💯🌻

A lil suspense added to the video. Check ✅️😂
Have you ever done peppers in the aero garden?
If u cut the side u cld still use it jst like the pool noodle..
You rock! I want to play renegade gardener with you!
Thanks
Powdered cinnamon is a good substitute for root hormone powder.
You're wonderful
Thank you for being fawesome!
I precut the pods on the ends before they grew so I’m hoping it’ll help a bit
I've done that, it does help
😍 😊 😚 cute. Keep going yo thang,, like da video 📹 🤪
Thanks appreciate it😁🌻🌻
Great video beautiful! 😊 thank you
Thank YOU!🌻🌻
@@TheAdhdGardener you’re welcome 😉
Estas acabando! Que sigas!
Is this a collab with the YT chanel "Aerogarden Experiments" ??
No it's not
do you need to have those green paper like covers on the pods, or can I just get rid of them?
U can buy those additionally but for budget sake u can coverl with aluminum foil. The paper blocked the light. Light on certain grow mediums(pods included) encourages algae growth
Transplant when a plant has two sets of true leaves.
💯 P R O M O S M.
