Banks was definitely the whipping boy of this franchise. The Rich people wanted him. But he has shown time and time where his loyalties really stood. Gives me great amount of respect to him.
The original sin of the franchise? Making Charlie and Bombay the focus, when it *should* have been Adam and Bombay. I mean, c'mon -- the Number 9, the Hawks background, the growing up with impossible expectations -- it was all there!
But no. Disney had to make boring, talentless, unsympathetic Charlie the focus.

I wasn't from the 90s but Mighty Ducks was my childhood too, and Adam Banks is my favorite character. I always feel sad whenever I see his character overlooked by fans, and he barely had the screentime he deserved. Like, his story was those by main characters (Sofia the first's Mighty Ducks inspired episode even had Sofia have Adam's story lmaoo), yet he came out as very underrated. My man deserved better. There was a ton of potential in his story, but wasn't delved in deeper. Although I'm very happy Vincent Larusso still appears as Adam Banks in anything Mighty Ducks related, I felt like he wasn't as appreciated as the other cast when they returned in Game Changers which was a bummer.

I think that as a teammate and player he grew on the ducks. The hawks weren't as good. Charlie is such a good captain and held the team together that he also welcomed banks in with open arms which is the reason why the team accepted him. A lot of them already had grudges. Banks also found his team in the ducks. He looked like he enjoyed the ducks more than the hawks.

Charlie and he were about equal, with Banks being more of a graceful puck handler and able to make trick shots and plays and perhaps more natural talent, with Charlie being more of a physical, all around player, Captain and leader on the ice with a nonstop engine and work ethic. Both are parts of Cup winning teams such as the Ducks did. As another commenter stated, the Bash Brothers also were top players in addition to just being physical goons. Nobody could stop them when they wanted to score or hit. Banks was about a 94 or 95 if he was in NHL video game, Charlie about the same mid 90s, Bash Brothers 91-93 overall, Connie a very reliable player at 85-88 Overall, and Julie The Cat gave them the boost their roster needed in D2 and D3 with a 90 Overall score

@@EmilyShepherd Actually in one of those parts it's Charlie 96 it shows it in the movie
I don't mean to argue with you but I just checked the movie, and both scenes used in this video were of Adam scoring against the Hornets. I didn't manipulate clips to make it seem like it was Adam scoring. There is a scene of someone whose jersey ends with the number 6 is scoring a goal against them. I can only assume that that one is Charlie.

How come Charlie falls in every game and never gets hurt yet adam doesn't even have to fall and he gets hurt
Charlie was never seen as the best player on the team. Adam was always scoring so it's no surprise if he was seen as a threat by their opponents.

I'm not too familiar with the retiring of jersey numbers, but wouldn't it only apply to the NHL? If that's the case, it probably would not affect them?
@@EmilyShepherd Iam pretty sure you are 100% right and that that rule only applies to professional hockey jerseys and not 12 year olds-Teen ones since they aren’t professional hockey players or NHL ones. They are just a group of kids playing hockey for fun.
