This helps a lot. Please help me understand where you got 300amps from on the SR when you times by 84v × 300 amps=25200 watts. Also 106v x 200 amps=21200 watts. Where did you get the 300 amps and 200 amps from?
@@edgurash834 so these are assumptions but when you look at the true voltage we see top speeds at a full capacity battery typically. When a 72 volt battery is full we can see 82 or 84 volts depending on manufacturers and BMS settings. So what's the altus I just add 10 volts on the assumption it's around that full. So I take 25,000 divided by 84 And I get right around that 300... Same for the Altis 22,000 divided by 106 is 200 so those are rough numbers possibly the altis even charges higher and less amps. Keep in mind these are peaks we're talking about too!
@edgurash834 yeah just trying to get the idea that the higher voltage is a good thing for less amps and heat. I was hoping to get the actual numbers from the companies but they didn't get back in time

3.0 will be better generally for better range, lighter and 15kw vs 20 but 3.7kwh vs 3.4kwh. But the suspension on the sigma looks wait better for harder riding ❤
@itzpogboy yeah I mean I don't understand exact cell packs by any means Just going off with the websites directly say.. @itzpogboy I totally agree with this, I think it's going to be an amazing bike to really like We would be blown away with it if we didn't have these other two options on the table
Altis sigma battery 3.4kwh, surron 2024 light bee battery is 2.36kwh, talaria mx5 is 2.9kwh e ride 2.0 is 2.9kwh e ride 3.0 is 3.7kwh, so assuming you get 35wh/km riding realistically on street is 67km on the surron 97km on the altis sigma 83km on both e ride 2.0 and mx5 and finally 106km on e ride 3.0 . You can get the number down to about 30wh/km or really ripping it its more like 40. One thing we all want is more range so a genral rule of thumb is, how many wh does the battery have and how big is the bike😊
Regarding this, personally the e ride 3.0 is the best option just based on battery capacity or though i still love my surron but the 6kw is the only thing 🤦
@@itzpogboy yeah you kind of lost me there a little bit but I think with the Altis 3402wh and sr at 3600wh if they were both a 72 volt that only be about 2.75ah difference. With the the Altis has the hairpin motor like I said is like 20% more efficiency with less copper loss as well as having the high voltage pulling less amps to get the higher wattage I think that altis should give us pretty good range. The sr I would think is pulling out over 300 amps draining the battery quicker when you're cracking it potentially. We'll see for sure
@@xKINGxRCCx 👏 I love the feedback, the SS 2.0 is a great bike but I got to agree with you I think this is going to be superior to the SR even though they're claiming more watts!
With that kind of power a jack shaft and belt drive is just old, inferior tech and a direct drive is way better. Charged Cycle works has a production model and are raving about it.
the altis has super good customizability for the power levels. you can change torque, throttle curve, regen and power. plus the bike just looks way better. pretty much beats the sr in every way except weight and kilowatts but its looking like the power is going to be better on the altis because of the hairpin motor. let me compare real quick, motor altis is barely better, battery altis wins, looks altis wins, range altis wins, wheels and suspension altis wins. I really cant think of anything that makes the pro sr better

@Razorcrew_Cole i signed up for Altis mailing list after I pre-ordered my Altis from Voromotors. But nothing came through from them, either. I just hoping they are extra busy trying to get these bikes out to us in a timely manner. I was originally supposed to receive mine around November 10th, but because of the upgrades they have pushed mine to early December. Sucks. But at leaat they are making it better. They listened to all the reviews and fixed the issue's before sending out the production bike. That is promising in and of itself.
@edgurash834 Right on I was super curious about the November drops cuz I'm not seeing anything so thanks for that update! Yeah good to hear I am a believer in taking in what the community wants and giving it to them if you can so I think that's what they're doing for the most part, I've scene and talk to some people that think it was a bad idea to give the production model out but I think they wanted to see what we would all say and what the influencers would say before they dropped it, Good way to get on top right away
@@Razorcrew_Coleyeah. November 10th orders got pushed to early December, and those original December orders got pushed to early Jan 2025. I also heard that the 19×19 were going to be delivered to customers first and the MX 19x16 will go next. Don't quote me on that, but I believe it was from a repairable source.
@@Razorcrew_Colehave you seen the laundry list of all the new features to the actual production bike? Because I preordered mine they sent it to me in an email.
SR all day, I waited over a year for them to announce something about that damn SR....so I bought a 2.0 =/ Either way, I'll be getting an SR in the spring too now
Glad you touched on the weight, I didn't realize Altis increased the claimed weight on the site. After John's video I asked Revrides and they assured me it was because that was a preproduction bike with heavy tires which now I know isn't true. I know its a bit silly to complain about a 9lb weight increase but this bike already was the heaviest and now is 11lb more than the eride SR. Not to mention a fully modded light bee is only around 150lbs. Also on the battery amps look at John's video on the preproduction bike with 17kw we can see it peak at 206 amps. This number is interesting because I think it shows these two companies might be claiming different power numbers by looking at them differently. Now why do I say this? Well because if one was to use the nominal voltage of the battery 97.2v accounting for voltage sag you would end up right around 17kw. But looking at the Eride historically their peak power figures haven't really lined up. TalariaBoys had said its more like 11kw. This makes me believe Eride might rate off the nominal voltage without accounting for voltage sag, while Altis does. Now first Altis claims 30% more power than that preproduction model at 206A, which would be around 265A. This would line right up with their 22kw figure at nominal voltage including voltage sag. But if we wanted to match how eride tests if my theory is true Altis would peak at roughly 25kw. Which would seem unlikely admittedly but TB even said the production bike will peak as high as 25kw. My guess is these bike will preform very similar in power despite the 3kw claimed difference. Unfortunately though it seems Altis didn't give the phase a 10% boost like they did the battery though, so who knows for sure
@@Bengy22 those are all really really good points, yeah my amps were just kind of rough guests off of numbers but that definitely makes sense, I totally agree with you I think eride is claiming more than they're putting out like I see some companies do in the DIY scene cough cough e&c lol. I think that would be a very good guess that they are predicting volt sag and eride is not And like the Tulare boys have said about the e-ride not holding power through the charge so it's top speed is only at full charge like some of our DIY builds but out of a real emoto I want that power all the way like a lot of the bikes are! So I take it you lean Altis side then
@@Razorcrew_Cole I probably lean more Altis, I like the design and the battery compartment looks huge, which is great for aftermarket. But the weight is high and because I would use it mostly on the street the gearbox is a downside to me. Extra weight, size and I'm worried about aftermarket power. I'm someone who will mod for more power no matter what, and the gearbox means an aftermarket motor that fits is unlikely. We don't know how high the stock motor can be pushed, but the 7kw rating is telling and not great. Compare that to aftermarket surron motors in the 13/17kw range. Even the SR at 10kw. Ultimately I'm waiting for full reviews on both before I make up my mind (or decide to do a frame up surron build), hoping TB will not let me down with an honest opinion on both. Can't really say right now there is a wrong decision though!
@Bengy22 yep I'm in the same boat as you 100% man I hope they give us a good comparison of the two I know I've commented on their stuff and I'm sure plenty of others and they know it! But agreed I think both options are going to be amazing for the price point. I feel that I really just don't want to mod it but I don't want to be let down with what I feel for the power because yeah A lot of DIY stuff runs higher than that so I hope it's not disappointing in any way but it should feel like a lot of power to me I think
Oil changes in talarias are every 3k miles after the initial break in oil change which is 300 miles. One oil change that takes 10 minutes every year or two years for most people isn't as big a deal as people made it out to be.
@@Chorgy Right on not as big a hassle as changing my dirt bikes oil? Not that it's a huge deal but once you got 10 bikes it starts to get annoying. What's your thoughts do you trust the gearbox more though?
@Razorcrew_Cole it's like 4 Bolts and a couple tablespoons of the recommended oil 😂. For a quieter bike, that's worth every second. And again that 10 minute oil change only once per 3k miles vs chains stretching and breaking, belts ripping etc. Most people would say the gearbox is well worth it. It's just that people used to think you had to oil change every 500 miles or whatever. But talaria themselves revised the number to 3k miles/ 5k kilometers.
@Chorgy okay yep I have heard that 3K which is not bad compared to like my old 450r every 500mi I've been hearing 5K miles on the Altis for change?! Cool I appreciate that input because I just haven't dealt with either yet being my first real emoto. I'm more familiar with like flipskys but yeah no matter What I really like to have that control over all the settings of my bike. I mean that's why we like electric right why not Take advantage of all of it! I hope you're right and we're happy out of the box I really don't want to change the controller on it
@Razorcrew_Cole i started learning with flipsky as well due to the pricepoint. But moved to 3shul eventually because it's the only vesc based controller available capable up to 30s ATM. I'll probably hold off on a controller swap since I was supposed to use that controller for a high voltage shifter kart project, but it's always an option if they don't come out with the thumb regen which is really easy to setup even with flipsky adc2 connections
@euc_bbq yeah for sure I love using it on flip sky too I'll have to check out that other controller I'm not familiar with that! I have far driver cuz of some benefits in some bikes and it's a bummer because it's only a momentary switch I can do the regen with what's his nice but thumb throttle is so much better. I know a company I work with tried to get them to do it and they can't figure it out like VESC
My sr was 5836$ out the door I live in Hawaii
@@Hawaianae808 You're kidding me! I wonder if they don't have Nexus there so there's no tax? Was there like your regular taxes on it?

I like the sr because of the look and power and weight and you can adjust with a app to bring Dow the kw so no over heat battery
@Hawaianae808 No way, maybe my taxes are super high where I live lol I feel like shipping should cost more to get it there than Colorado haha
@Hawaianae808 You're the first one that I have heard that does like the looks I don't not like it I just like the Altis dirt bike look better personally. Yeah I like the idea of an app to though
You may want to see Surronster riding the E Ride ProSR.
@@MarkFries-o7n I mean I obviously watched the video lol Like I said I do think it might be a little faster and is a great bike, personally I think I'm leaning towards the altis for a handful of reasons we went over here and it looks like a lot of the comments section is as well, I would love to have both because I think they're both absolutely amazing bikes
@ based on what Charged Cycle works said about the production Atlas they rode you are making the right choice!
@@Razorcrew_Colethanks for clearing that up
@edgurash834 yeah just trying to get the idea that the higher voltage is a good thing for less amps and heat. I was hoping to get the actual numbers from the companies but they didn't get back in time
@Razorcrew_Cole i agree. Starting with a larger volt battery knocks put that expense for possible future mods.
Altis is coming out with regen throttle sometime in 2025
@@myleshamilton8132 where did you see that?!! Oh my god do I wait Or like it will be an add-on available? That would be dope

@@Razorcrew_Cole I asked the company because that’s an addition I was interested in and they said early next year they will have it as an add on

@@DD-cs1gb Yes both are claiming tunable out of the box. The ERide believe in app, and Altis is On the main screen charge cycle works showed on their production bike video.
I see that it says Bluetooth there so that makes me curious if there's an app also or not
Would you consider the ERide Pro 3.0 instead, lesser power but lighter?
@@jceeezy I mean what's the price difference only around that like $500ish I just feel like My mind as well just go all the way. But I am someone where a lot of people where we trail ride are like why do you have a 450 instead of a 250 sulfur a lot of people I think 16 KW and being lighter they would be definitely happy with I am used to a bigger bike like my 450 and 690
3.0 will be better generally for better range, lighter and 15kw vs 20 but 3.7kwh vs 3.4kwh. But the suspension on the sigma looks wait better for harder riding ❤
Btw as a genral rule of thumb use 3.7 as a multiplyer for cells in series so 72v is actually 74, 60v is actually 59.2 etc sigma is 27 x 3.7 = 99.9 👍🏻
@itzpogboy yeah I mean I don't understand exact cell packs by any means Just going off with the websites directly say.. I mean I know my 72 volt batteries are usually like 83 volts full I don't know if I have a little bit of BMS covering me from charging fully but yeah I don't know the actual numbers when my buddies talk about the numbers I just don't really listen I guess honestly but I'm sure you're totally right
@itzpogboy I totally agree with this, I think it's going to be an amazing bike to really like We would be blown away with it if we didn't have these other two options on the table
Altis 100%. And thats coming from someone who had a e ride pro ss 2.0. I think the Altis is the best value for the money at the moment
Right on yep that's what I'm seeing in my thoughts on it too just curious of everyone else's for that extra push lol Thanks for the comment
the altis has super good customizability for the power levels. you can change torque, throttle curve, regen and power. plus the bike just looks way better. pretty much beats the sr in every way except weight and kilowatts but its looking like the power is going to be better on the altis because of the hairpin motor. let me compare real quick, motor altis is barely better, battery altis wins, looks altis wins, range altis wins, wheels and suspension altis wins. I really cant think of anything that makes the pro sr better
@@Taximain where did you see about the in-depth tuning?! That's definitely what I'm looking for and wanted to hear confirmation on before I send it! I agree with you man I think it is the superior choice!
@@Razorcrew_Cole glad to hear it, I got it in an email about my order delay which is a bummer but they confirmed it when i asked also saw it on the talaria boys video on it. I think I went with the right choice, super exited!
@spikledawg Right on yeah I did hear some people mentioned the delay but because there was some last updates they did so probably worth it hopefully! Is that seat height for the 16 rear or 19 rear?
@@edgurash834 I know that's a good question I would like to ask but couldn't get any answers on that either
