I have always loved Creed, but after watching some of these videos about Scott opening up about his very personal and painful experiences and disorder, I am an even bigger fan. Such a kind and humble human being with talent that is off the charts. I watched him perform tonight in Stafford, Texas and he just blew me away. He was smiling and putting on such a strong performance. Huge respect, Scott!

Loved Creed since I first heard their music. A lot of people really misunderstood Scott. Every frontman is going to go through that conceit but underneath it all is someone going through a lot. The lyrics to his song’s speak for themselves and to see his transformation to being clean and sober is fantastic. he still looks great and such a humble attitude.

I've never done drugs or alcohol in my life, but just like everyone else, I am a flawed person who needs the grace of Christ. I greatly appreciate Scott Stapp and his music. His struggles may be different from mine and many other people here, but I believe he is a man with a good heart. God bless him.

Was never a fan of Creed, or any of his music really, but his story is beyond incredible. As the child of a man who wasn't able to turn it around, I can genuinely say I'm happy for the guy and his loved ones. Best wishes, Mr. Stapp.

What an amazing interview by this man. I was never a huge Creed fan back in the day but I have a newfound respect for the band and Scott Stapp after this. I am by no means a fan of Creed but I have so much respect for him. In a moment of weakness anyone can abuse drugs. But it takes a strong man to know that he needs help. Much respect for him and I hope he continues his sobriety.

+Kris Sanders I just wrote the same thing. He was looking WAY haggered in addition to strung out when he posted the hotel video last year. Watching that you did not picture him turning it around. Glad to see it, we have lost a lot of rockers before they hit 50

    • @krissanders987
      @krissanders987 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

+nicolaxoxo1 very true. He looked old and not heathy in those hotel vids. Also, those vids had no color in them at all, so it was a odd recording of him. But I can tell he lost weight and it's making his old face come back again. He looks awful in some 2012 and 2014 vids of him. He had grey hair and his face looked bloated. I'm like wow, big change since just 09, but now his face looks 2 times better.

This reminds me of my son's story. He loved Creed and identified with the words in the songs. My son finally found a medication that worked and he was doing amazing. Until that med he felt like a doctors science experiment. Unfortunately he could not afford the $1,300 a month price tag and went back to Xanex....His delusion causing medication. He passed away, delusional, broken, and suicidal on 9/10/15. I pray this amazing performer suceeds and I will be in the back ground routing on my son's favortie lead singer.

Music speaks to us in different ways. For me personally, Creed has been therapeutic.
Many years ago, I was involved in a very nasty custody battle with my ex-girlfriend. Things were so messed up that I entered into a deep depression and there were days when I felt like throwing the towel.
One day, I turned on my TV and Creed's "My Own Prison" music video was on MTV. From that day forward, my life took a 360-degree turn.
Long story short, I felt like God was speaking to me through Creed's music, and the rest is history.
Today I am doing very well for myself, and my relationship with my son couldn't be better.

Creed was a dam good rock band especially seeing them live. Even better than their studio version..now ive never been a big fan myself n yet found myself going to every show they've ever played at around my home town so go figure.I either had a girlfriend buy us so tickets to their show or I would win them on the radio or was given an extra ticket by a friend I ended up at their concert, skeptical of them n .regretful for even going, I walk out extremely impressed. They would time n time again blow the dam roof off the ceiling n far more exceeded my expectations... Many people on here say they're not creed fans but yet they know lyrics to about half their songs because their songs have been playing on the radio nonstop for almost 20 years. So I get it, they are an easy band to hate for whatever reason one might give but remember they were apart of a time period of rock music when it was loaded with talent and great rock bands making great rock songs n I'm sure none would argue, they were apart of it. they were undeniably popular n extremely successful so much that most people whether they listen to rock at all, if they've been alive for the past 20 years knows who creed are n can sing a little bit from ateast one of their hit songs, including all of their haters as well. Come out that closet creed lovers, better late than never.

I have suffered with BiPolar Disorder since I was a kid. It took a very long time to find a Doctor who explained exactly what all that meant, and even longer to find to find the right combination on of medications to combat this horrible disease. I was so lucky to find a team of great Doctors, who told me that if I was going to drink, don't bother to take the medications. I am also blessed to have a wonderful wife of 32 years who knows me better than I know myself. When she says something's not right, we make a Dr's appointment, and sure enough, some changes need to be made. I can never repay her for her understanding, and her undying love. She's truly one in a million. I'm a very lucky man who counts his blessings daily. I tell her daily how much I love her. You need great family members, great Dr's and a great therapist. We need a great national medical program to help those in need. Obamacare is falling apart, it needs to be fixed.

I knew a guy who smoked ice every day, and he seemed pretty normal except for the fact that he was 100% sure that certain people were swapping out parts of his engine in his truck. He would take me outside, calmly pop the hood, point to a part and say "See that alternator right there? That's not mine, someone replaced it. The one I used to have was chrome. I'm pretty sure that's not my water pump either". I'd have to stand there with the poor bastard and nod my head and say "damn, that sucks man". Totally awkward situation. He moved soon after, I have no idea what became of him. Anyway, I'm happy for Scott Stapp. And yea, I know this was a long time ago, but whatever. I don't really know why everyone shits on him and Creed. A lot of those early songs were good.

since i dont like creed and that kind of softer grungey rock, i had never watched this video. Now that i did, i have to say that the interview was tremendous. good job. and second, i have a newfound respect for this gentleman. Anyone who fights in life deserves respect, and those who win....admiration.

Mental issues are no joke. I feel for those who struggle. He's owned up to his mistakes. Hopefully he continues to make more music. Most importantly I hope he and his family are well going foreward.

Even though he had dumb public behavior for a while, him
admitting it and acknowledging it makes me respect him.
