i bolted a good-sized piece of angle to the bottom of mine. now i can slide the vertical part into a vise to use it or behind a rack on my wall to get it out of the way until i need it.
Good question. I'm not sure what the limits are. I use it for standard sheet metal, but I have cut some slightly thicker/. I don't know how much though.
