@@sewthroughtime That sounds great. I also need to find a secondhand machine. I have seen some at thrift shops, but never thought about it until I started watching videos like yours (yours being the best, naturally 😅). So now it will be a two for one visit. Yay. Thank you for the nudge.
Thank you so much for the overview of your project and the clearer delineation of the change in style in the 30s. Now I understand better which side I belong and why. I always enjoy your work so much.
Gosh I meant to add more to my comment but it was so late for me. I really enjoyed your information about 30s undergarments as well! It's making me consider that I really need the undergarments to pull off the aesthetic well. It really brought it home for me!
SO GORGEOUS!!!!! i mean seriously this is so beautifull!! also thank you so much i learned so much about the 1930s from the front portion of the video!! i have a lot of difficulty reading so i love that you take time to go into that in your vids! (also if anybody has a good audiobook for any/all eras of fashion history let me know lol)
Beautiful dress and very interesting information about the fashions in that era. You mentioned the type of backless bra to wear with this dress but could you please add a link with more information about the bra? Did you make the bra? Also where do you get original 1930s shoes??
@@c2442l these ones are a very random thrifting find. A video specifically on these bras in the works... I just need to finish a few things I've been working on for a long time 😅
God, i wish i would be a Woman just to make Those beautiful dresses. Historic Men clothes Are so boring, pattern are Hard to get and sooooo much More complicated to make. And i hate pattern making
Gosh, I wish I could sew after watching you. This dress is stunning, both in style and on the model. Brava! 🙂
Everyone can learn! Get thifted bedsheets and try, if it goes wrong not a huge loss and you'll learn in the process 😊
