Thanks so much for the review of Temu fabrics! I've been reluctant to buy fabric from them. Definitely going to get that roller! Thanks again. I've been a Christian since I was 28 and am 76 now. He's been my rock through some tough times.
God bless you, Nana! Jesus is my constant companion here on this mountain. I am so thankful he put me here. I wouldn't waste money on Temu fabrics. For a little more money and a lot more quality you can support a Christian quilting store, Sew Yeah Quilting. They have great prices and fun TH-cam sales.
Hi. I'm in London UK. New to quilting since July. I buy lots for my quilting from Temu, tools, rulers etc and fabrics. Lovely pretty fabrics and never had any of them smell. Waiting on my latest order to arrive any day and looking forward to it 😊
I'm glad you like it, Deborah! I feel there are certain things they offer that are just fine but the lack of quality for many items is there. The seam ripper was thin and bent, the fabric was poly, but I get many things from them that the quality is fine.
I must tell anyone who buys fabric from Temu use this method. I only buy the fabric pieces that are 19.69 x 19.69 inches. I only buy the 100 percent cotton. I get the 8 pieces or 7,piece packages. And its very soft and beautiful. The prices are from 10 to 12 dollars for one of those 7 or 8 piece fat quarter packages. I use them in many quilted items.. very good quality
Jan. 24, 2024.I am reviewing past videos of yours I have not seen yet. Thank you for showing us what you bought. I always enjoy these videos from quilters. Oooh oooh ! What did you get? What fun. Those quilting clips can be very expensive. I see on your list that they are reasonably priced. I hope they work well for you. I use little dolly clothes pins. After our deep freeze it was 50 degrees today. I had a window opened for awhile. Take care Melissa! Marion in Oregon.
Hi Marion, Thanks for watching! It is a glorious 62º here on the mountain today. I am overall very disappointed with the temu purchase. I don't like their business practices. The quality of products is all over the board. One thing is awesome, the next is garbage. That seam roller is amazing! I have some of those tiny clothes pins. I just love them! God bless!
I just got my temu order today and got a few jelly rolls. I guess even though the strips are short they will be OK for a quilt as you go table runner or some pot ,mits
Yes, Black Cat, you can use those fabrics for all sorts of free form projects. If you question if the fabric is entirely cotton I'd avoid projects that will be exposed to high heat. They could get crunchy or melt. I'm not thrilled with Temu but they have appeal in some things. Like that seam roller! I love that thing!
I love your quilt tutorials, and especially love your potato chip quilts! I made 2 of them and that’s just a start!❤️ Happy New Year and God bless you.😊
Thanks for trying Temu out for us. I don't think I'm going to purchase from them after seeing what you have been sent as well as having heard some pretty horrible things from my hubby who works in IT about them. He has said that in general they aren't safe to be giving info to. I am sorry you got so many repeats of fabric and your jelly roll is cut so awful. As always praying for you. 🙏❤️
Oh I am well aware of their tactics, Amber. Both hubby and I are/were in IT. Sanjay is in Information Security so we know what can happen. I had to tell folks about the app as part of my agreement but I wouldn't install it. Other than the seam roller and the quilting clips, I'm not happy with the order at all and am glad I didn't pay for it. I told them that I would not lie and that I would give an honest review. I'd much rather buy fabric again from that Indian Etsy shop. That is some nice fabric and I'm supporting a small business too. Thanks for watching, darlin. I keep you on my daily prayers.🥰😍✝️
This was a sponsored video, Sunflower. I didn't pay for the items. If I had paid for them I would have tried to return them. But, I suspect they would just refund the money and tell me to keep/toss out the items because, Like Amazon, the items are not worth the expense of returning. I mean, if it was the only fabric I could get my hands on, I would use them for charity/pet quilts or stuffing, or practice blocks. They weren't like burlap or cardboard, just not the quality of fabric I'm used to. I may still use those poly solids though. I can't get such a big pile of different solid colors here without getting a mortgage.... Thanks for watching.
I agree. I won't install the app but some folks don't have computers so I guess they have no choice. Some folks might also have "burner" phones with nothing on them and put the app on those. Thanks for watching, Vera!
Just wondering… Now that 3 months has passed, would/could you do an updated video of the items from your haul. What you made, if item only last 1 use. Thanks
I use the heavy duty seam roller all the time. The quilt clips are also useful. The other tools were pretty horrible and I've not really used the fabrics yet. I will use the cottons, but probably not any of the poly. There isn't really anything else to mention. I don't like Temu or their business practices. Thanks for watching, Lucy!
Hi Lottie! Thanks for watching. I will probably use it for practice pieces or maybe some charity quilts. I won't buy it again, that is for sure, but, yes, I do buy things from Temu. With this economy and being retired, we can't pay thrice the price on Amazon when Temu has the same items. If I want "exotic" fabric I will buy again from that lovely Indian Etsy shop. I can't get enough of those fabrics!

What I learned from my experience with Temu: 1) If you want pure cotton fabrics, just scroll through all their pictures for one product, and somewhere you see written “100% cotton”, sometimes they write “Hugh quality cotton”. Those are more expensive but they are indead very nice cottons. 2) their jelly rolls don’t correspond with our jelly roll sizes. So, don’t combine theirs and ours in the same quilt unless you really count for the differences in size. For example, use theirs on vertical positions and our on horizontal position. 3) if you plan to order all the fabric for a quilt from them, make sure to order ALL what you need at once. If you run short on something you might not find exactly the same fabric, the colors may differ or prints differ. It happened to me.
