You should try to get this skill on either beginning map or Luffy's map 2, which is called indomitable spirit, which heals you while your full-force burst is being used.

basically gear 5 is supposed to show luffy's true power, there's no way to rly explain what it is without having a major spoiler inserted but, basically, luffy can stretch and change shape as much as he wants, and he basically turns into a looney toons character, kaido hits him with the mace and his face stays in the shape of the mace, for example.
Gear 5 allows luffy to turn imagination in to reality

The entire limit of Gear five is basically your imagination! Luffy here has a seriously creative mind so it fits him perfectly! Plus it's like a classic squash and stretch cartoon for crying out loud! Or Looney tunes for example! ^^ also I do hope whoever see's this has an Amazing Day!
