Hi, I've gone through lots of videos about this SE Phone before looking at the actual merchandise just two days ago before the long shut down of the Apple store. I stick with Samsung galaxy over the past two years, I never tried Apple before but since the new SE looks like is a real deal and so far it's the only newest item this year from Apple, I really want to give it a shot. Pricewise it's a good deal but it doesn't come in too many colors which makes the phone look boring. To upgrade my phone, I'm actually looking for a bigger one. The screen of my Samsung is 5.0 as compared to SE 4.7, it's kind of small especially I watch TH-cam all the time. I prefer 5.5 to 6.0 which is more close to today's standard. I held both the SE and 10R on hands which apparently told me the screen size difference. 10R 6.1 size is a lot more comfortable for reading, even I don't have a big hand still sizewise is perfect. Colorwise, iPhone 10R has five different hues of which the orange and yellow are my favourites. Pros and cons, decision time... 10R costs $599 plus tax SE is $399 plus tax 10R was launched in 2017, so software support lasts for another two years something. SE of course u can play for another five years. But both have one thing in common which I'm very pleased with, like what u said Apple never cut corners as the phones are well built and sturdy from the lowest priced to the highest, they are all uniformed. Why I give up Samsung this time after a detailed study about their new generation of A series and S series, on the outside the material employed is so cheap, I bet u won't spend $1,400 on a plastic reflective colored gadget, right? They should learn a lesson from Apple after this chapter and so should Google 4A and 5G rubberized phones. If u were me, iPhone 10 or SE? Can u help me out?
Seeing as content consumption is one of your main uses, I would recommend the Xr over the SE. The bigger display and better battery life will better suit you, if you don’t mind the price increase. However I would wait until the iPhone 12 launches so that the price of the Xr will come down, although you can find it for less than retail already
The se is for the real person. The common man or woman. The latest and greatest is for the rich who buy a new latest and greatest each year or someone who is waisting their money in my opinion
I am sensing strong marxist delusions from you... Have you ever considered that some REAL people wait five or more years to upgrade and so when they do upgrade, they go with the latest and greatest so that it is the most future-proof? The world is not as black and white and elitist as you may think, wake up and be more realistic.
A great phone for seniors and those who use phone for calling, pictures and texting and not for gaming. Finger print ID the way to go with everyone wearing masks, especially for Apple Pay
I bought my new iphone se 2 10 days ago and I am in love with this phone. It is my first iphone and coming from a 5.5 inch android screen it was a bit difficult at first but things are more handy now. I am not a gamer so the battery isn’t a big problem for me. Especially love the quality of speakers and microphone 💗❤️.
Shaun I think iphone only because the system storage is optimised and we can remove many unwanted apps . In my redmi phone many google apps eventhough I never needed it could not be removed

You can tweak the settings to shut lots of things off and get about an extra hour. That’s what I did to mine recently and I love it! Also I use shortcuts app to do low power mode when it falls below 40%. When you compare it to an 11 sure it’s gonna fall short but I personally like the bezels.
I have huge hands, but I love the concept of having a home button. Every phone that I have had has not had a home button and I am intrigued by the concept.
Since it’s my transition from android, for me this iPhone is wonderful!!! Im having a blast with it! I love the fluidity and you’re right getting into apple ecosystem was never this inexpensive! That was what kept me from buying an iPhone. Now in looking forward to the next one!
idk if it’s just me or not, but i have spotted these two main problems (for me) on my iphone se 2020 : 1) the battery health dropped to 94% in 4 month 2) when i recorded using front camera, the microphone muted for like 10 seconds
This is why I bought an iPhone 8 in November 2019, all the TH-camrs were saying oh the 8 is going to be the last iPhone with the home button, well now there’s the SE and I would still buy the SE after my 8 even in two years it will still have three years of life probably left in it for updates
I’ve had the iPhone SE 2020 for three days now. Last night while sleeping my alarm went off at 1:30 am on my iPhone SE. I didn’t have an alarm set for 1:30 AM. I wasn’t dreaming this really happened. Have you heard of any one hacking into these phones?
williebones53 it’s apple, people would be better off hacking a rock. Id power off and on and make sure you for sure have the alarms checked, maybe even check that the iOS software is up to date. Never heard anyone have an issue with alarms haha might have just sleep walked and set it who knows
Your siblings might have done it if you do have siblings or it could be a glitch, or it could be sounding it that is alerting you that the update is going to start.
People missed out on the beauty that was the iPhone 5s. Amazing battery life and the phone itself was just a beaut. Amazing size. The battery it felt like would last an eternity per charge. Idk which size I liked more, the 5s or the 6s...the 6s might be the perfect size though for a smartphone. The only "negative" thing with the 5s was that at 0% battery, it can take 15-20 min with the charger plugged in before it turns back on. It wasn't much of a big deal since I always charged mine at night. 5 years later with the same battery is still really amazing, it out beats my 6s battery of less than 2 years by a pretty good margin. Idk it just felt good using the phone that I didn't have that same feeling with the other phones, maybe because the size and shape was just that good, im not sure. I am hoping to restore some of those feelings with the SE 2020 soon. I still think the 5s takes good picture and video quality.
I understand what you mean about the 5s. That is my current phone that I bought used 6 years ago. Had the battery replaced once and it is near death - have to charge it 2 to 3 times per day. My first iPhone was a refurbished 3G that I paid $300 for. So, this new SE for $250 I believe is an absolute steal. Just ordered one today and can't wait to get it. Going from 16g 5s to an SE 64g is going to be amazing.
@@f69tele i still like the SE 2. I just have a personal attachment with my 5s lol. But I will say, I tend to accidentally poke myself with my finger nails when using it kind of often, but I rarely poke myself on the SE 2.
As a SE 2020 owner, with heavy use or video watching you will not make it more than I’d say 1-2pm but the apple battery case completely solved that to make it all day.
For the battery life, I use the Apple iPhone Battery Case for iPhone 7, which fits the SE 2 and 8 perfectly. The photos are good enough for me and I’m not into selfies hehe Perfect iPhone for me. I find it very hard spending more than 500$ (CAD) on a cell phone.
I would say it’s a ”normal” smartphone, for making calls, checking emails, texting, and light social media use. It’s not designed to be a multi-media platform, just a normal smartphone.

Viraj Dave the battery is as good as the iPhone 7 and 8. That is to say it is okay it lasts a while if you aren’t on your phone all the time playing games or the like. The iPhone SE 2020 functions with all battery cases and general cases made for the iPhone 7 and 8. You can quick charge the phone wirelessly and with a usb c to usb lightning port with third party accessories like those from anker. Regardless, the battery charges quick enough even with the default charger that comes out of the box. The only con to quick charging on any device is that it can kill the battery health quicker than the slower traditional charging.
Viraj Dave if you are on an iPhone XR and you like the form factor. Why don’t you just wait to see how the iPhone 12 or even 13 turn out since your phone isn’t that old anyways.
You keep complaining that it doesn't have the same night mode or front camera or whatever as the iPhone 11. You gotta keep in mind the price of the SE 2020. And if they made it exactly like the 11, people would buy that instead of the 11.
Agreed. I think they made a smart move in terms of price vs features, just not one the same level as the original SE (understandably, which I discussed at 7:35)
Just ordered a iPhone SE (2020) today from Consumer Cellular for $250. This is my first smart phone. Yes I know. I am 10 years behind phone technology. Not the latest and greatest, but a step-up from my no wi-fi flip open phone.
I have a rose gold 6s plus which I love, but it's started to bug me how big it is. I have very small hands and I use my computer for everything, I don't need a huge phone to watch videos. Part of me wants the new iPhone 12 mini, but in my heart I know I should go for the SE... 😅
Yeah, I loved my big phone (Samsung a11) but with the se 2 it’s so much more comfortable and it performs better, only downfall is battery size, I bought a 10k mAh portable charger for about $15 and I have no complaints
I am a fan of SE. I have iphone SE first generation bought it 2016 and it is running ios 15.5 and still very very useful for me up to this day and it has a 75 percent battery health. Now i want to buy iphone SE second generation it has a simole design but powerful and also not too expensive.
i bought this today (in white) and i'm really excited to get it! i had enough for an 11 but i couldn't justify spending 600-700 for it so i just went with a more affordable option. i had the OG SE (in rose gold) and i absolutely loved it so i figured, why not get it again? anyway great video.

The only issue I have with the phone is the battery... that could have been better.. other than that, I wouldn't complain about anything about the phone
I came from an a11 and while the battery size difference is massive I prefer the se 2 because it’s more comfortable, I’m so tired of holding bricks only for them to perform worse than a smaller one
Hello iAppleGeek,my Se 2020 is 3 weeks old and the battery capacity dropped to 99%,its been through normal usage,i just usr it for social media and taking photos and i do not have any games on it,is this a bad sign or a weird issue ? :/
Hmm. Since the battery capacity is an estimation, it shouldn't be an issue. But definitely keep an eye on it. It's normal to have about 20% drain over the course of 18 months to two years (at which point a replacement is recommended).
It's a great phone, if you are looking at it the screen size takes a couple hours to get use to but other than that and the battery life it is fine. Really premium materials can't wait for the next one to come out. Maybe get rid of the home button keep the single camera so it is different from other phones, square case, no notch, then it would be the best imo. it might cost a hundred dollars more though
i had a iphone se 2020, i was super happy with it and it was amazing but until about a year of using it, the battery became less and less stable. but the battery life was at 83 sooo i took it to the repair shop and the man said ''if replacing the battery doesnt work then we'll try the motherboard'' so it didnt work and we tried the motherboard. still didnt work. im getting an iphone 12 now but idk if its a problem others have had with the same phone? i deleted like evrything on that phone and tbh even the headphones were bugged when i used the phone. if it wasnt just me with the issue then i dont fully reccommend this phone, but despite MY issue. this phne was really good and i made lots of memories with it :) if the issue was just for me, then sure. go for it!! its a good phone and its cheap for its design. if i hate to give the phone a rating it would probably be a 5/10

Best investment if you want an easy , lightweight smaller smartphones....they do not come with earphones now that SE 2nd Gen is iOS 15 with duo sim card in Fall 2021 I do not think people KNOW that a Duo sim card will drain the battery on all makes of smartphones......but the duo allows you to have 2 phone numbers & 2 carriers...works great for business
I wish they had kept the square design of the original SE. This phone is one of the smallest out there, but I still think the original SE was the perfect size

i am using se and surprised with the flagship specs. if you aren’t bothered with old design it’s an awesome phone. very underrated tbh.

The lack of low light is the reason I'm willing to spend more on the regular models.

Just ordered a iPhone SE (2020) today from Consumer Cellular for $250. This is my first smart phone. Yes I know. I am 10 years behind phone technology. Not the latest and greatest, but a step-up from my no wi-fi flip open phone.

I have a rose gold 6s plus which I love, but it's started to bug me how big it is. I have very small hands and I use my computer for everything, I don't need a huge phone to watch videos. Part of me wants the new iPhone 12 mini, but in my heart I know I should go for the SE... 😅

Yeah, I loved my big phone (Samsung a11) but with the se 2 it’s so much more comfortable and it performs better, only downfall is battery size, I bought a 10k mAh portable charger for about $15 and I have no complaints
NIce job on the review ... I’ve got an iPad Pro at home and so this phone is good for me as I don’t game or watch videos all day on my phone .

I am a fan of SE. I have iphone SE first generation bought it 2016 and it is running ios 15.5 and still very very useful for me up to this day and it has a 75 percent battery health. Now i want to buy iphone SE second generation it has a simole design but powerful and also not too expensive.

i bought this today (in white) and i'm really excited to get it! i had enough for an 11 but i couldn't justify spending 600-700 for it so i just went with a more affordable option. i had the OG SE (in rose gold) and i absolutely loved it so i figured, why not get it again? anyway great video.

I honestly love this new iPhone se I can even manage my battery backup as well but problem is big bezel on top and end. End of the day this is the cheapest iPhone in the market in 2021 as well.

I came from an a11 and while the battery size difference is massive I prefer the se 2 because it’s more comfortable, I’m so tired of holding bricks only for them to perform worse than a smaller one

Hello iAppleGeek,my Se 2020 is 3 weeks old and the battery capacity dropped to 99%,its been through normal usage,i just usr it for social media and taking photos and i do not have any games on it,is this a bad sign or a weird issue ? :/
Hmm. Since the battery capacity is an estimation, it shouldn't be an issue. But definitely keep an eye on it. It's normal to have about 20% drain over the course of 18 months to two years (at which point a replacement is recommended).

It's a great phone, if you are looking at it the screen size takes a couple hours to get use to but other than that and the battery life it is fine. Really premium materials can't wait for the next one to come out. Maybe get rid of the home button keep the single camera so it is different from other phones, square case, no notch, then it would be the best imo. it might cost a hundred dollars more though

i had a iphone se 2020, i was super happy with it and it was amazing but until about a year of using it, the battery became less and less stable. but the battery life was at 83 sooo i took it to the repair shop and the man said ''if replacing the battery doesnt work then we'll try the motherboard'' so it didnt work and we tried the motherboard. still didnt work. im getting an iphone 12 now but idk if its a problem others have had with the same phone? i deleted like evrything on that phone and tbh even the headphones were bugged when i used the phone. if it wasnt just me with the issue then i dont fully reccommend this phone, but despite MY issue. this phne was really good and i made lots of memories with it :) if the issue was just for me, then sure. go for it!! its a good phone and its cheap for its design. if i hate to give the phone a rating it would probably be a 5/10

Best investment if you want an easy , lightweight smaller smartphones....they do not come with earphones now that SE 2nd Gen is iOS 15 with duo sim card in Fall 2021
I do not think people KNOW that a Duo sim card will drain the battery on all makes of smartphones......but the duo allows you to have 2 phone numbers & 2 carriers...works great for business

I have one coming today. It is replacing my iPhone 7. At 76, the SE will be fine for me..
