  • Thank you for serving a leader, a teacher or an overseer of a ministry. I want to encourage to skim through the 66 Books of the Bible in 66 Days every year. We will never be as effective as we could be if are axe becomes dull. Stay sharp in your leadership role.
    STAYING SHARP in 2025
Hiking through the forest reminds me of the two loggers who arrived at work early every morning, determined to chop as much wood as possible. Both worked tirelessly all day, yet one always produced a much larger pile of wood.
Frustrated, the first lumberjack finally asked, "How is your pile always bigger than mine? We work just as hard!"
The second lumberjack replied, "You know I slip away at noon every day for about an hour. Do you know where I go?"
    "No," the first lumberjack said.
"I go down by the river. I sit on a big boulder and sharpen my ax."
This story highlights a critical principle for us as believers: we must pause to sharpen our spiritual axes.
Ecclesiastes 10:10 reminds us that working harder isn't the solution when our tools are dull; wisdom calls us to sharpen them.
The Word of God is our ax in our faith journey. Without regular time in Scripture, we risk becoming spiritually dull, working harder but seeing less fruit. However, when we prioritize spending time daily in the Word, we gain wisdom, strength, and clarity for God's tasks.
As we begin this 66-day journey through the Bible, let's commit to sharpening our ax daily. By immersing ourselves in God's Word, we'll grow in wisdom and see tremendous success in our walk with Him.
Are you taking time to sharpen your spiritual ax, or are you trying to get through life with a dull blade?
What steps can you take today to prioritize reading God's Word?
"If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success." - Ecclesiastes 10:10
Lord, thank You for the gift of Your Word. Help me prioritize time with You daily in 2025 so that I can be sharp and effective for Your purposes. Give me the wisdom and discipline to keep my spiritual ax sharp. Amen.
