Great stuff. Coming from the UK, I remember buying a lot of David Gregory's films on the Exploited label. The Killing of America was outstanding and surprisingly uncut over here. Mr Gregory, those pre-certs behind you take me back to the glorious days of VHS nasty witch hunts. I used to have most of these tapes on my shelves. Brilliant episode Deadpit Radio. Subscribed.
Awesome, thank you so much for the kind words!
Thanks guys!! Great interview!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you!
David is a legend. I'm a huge fan of Severin and the Severin Films Podcast and despite all the shit you guys talk about the label, it's cool to see you guys choppin' it up with each other. Great interview.
LOL to be fair we've put them over hardcore over the last few months. But yes, was a very fun chit-chat.
Awesome interview! Love hearing behind the scenes stories about boutique labels. Please have David on again!
Hopefully we can set it up to go completely live the next time...we'll see.
Great interview! I appreciate you guys asking my question to David.
Thanks so much, no problem at all man!
Great company. Fantastic interview.
Much appreciated!
Gr8 interview Boz!! I gotta say David is a solid dude Ive dealt with him @ TFW he's the only 1 who cut a deal
He's a cool dude for sure. He makes the deals cuz he's the boss lol
Wow! Over 7 boxsets for 2025? Severin just keeps going up and up the ladder. And like you guys, Severin has really revived themselves since late 2022. Before that, I had low opinions and thought the label was basically done if I'm being honest. Definitely the label with the biggest growth in these past two years.
Fantastic interview by the way👍
Thanks so much for watching.
Great interview and awesome that David came on. 2024 really was a killer year for Severin, looking forward to what they have in store for this year especially more Bruno Mattei🤘
Yes...definitely an exciting time for the company.
A great interview, psyched for the Twemlow box. The biggest surprise was that Da Demon visited the Severin office - how did he get his fighting rig in there?
Maybe they filmed Demon going in the Severin Cellar?!?
CANNOT WAIT!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This interview was incredibly entertaining and informative.
Thank you!
Great interview and hilarious too. Mr Gregory must be on speed dial this month its the 3rd ive watched this month and well worth it.
Regards 🇬🇧
He's doing a lot of promotion for the Russ Meyer discs right now.
Having these two early DVD physical media legends on for an interview is great stuff guys! I've met both of them at the old Horrorfind Weekend Cockeysville MD conventions when they were personally promoting their labels on the convention scene. Michael gave me a free copy of Trauma when AB released it on DVD in exchange for running him a bottle of beer from the bar because he was stuck at his table.
Horrorfind Weekend was such a great show.
*Thank you All* for a *fabulous discussion* on rare films.
Wanna write:
1) I *never* buy blu ray discs...unless that blu ray has something special (like a particular extra bonus)
2) it's 2025 & my heart and money *still go towards* buying *DVD disc format*
Blu Ray - seems disposable....
Whilst-DVD still has that _magic_ ...
Unsure if the above makes sense or if any one here can connect?
Sweet blessings.
Mr p Decker. London village
For me anymore it seems like it's more about the edition than the movie, I still watch DVD on a semi regular basis myself.
Loved when CK said we are Cardboard Enthusiasts. David said I was wandering if that would get brought up. 😂 Good stuff!
Boom!
Me expecting David Gregory to sound like a Mad Max character but instead has an eloquently British accent lol!
Sad about Inferno.
I'm amped for your live show tonight....
Hope it lived up to the anticipation.
My favorites from Severin. Next of Kin and Violent Streets box set.
Some great ones!
You guys are easy to listen to that time went by quick. Big fan Severin they won me over with Cemetery Man (particularly fond of the score by Manuel De Sica) I'm going to try to get Supervixens next.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great company and Dave’s good people.
Thanks for watching
This is DEADPIT RADIO at their best. You both did what many interviewers forget to do. You got out of the way and
let the guests have the floor. Like the contrasting colour scheme for each panel. Very artistic. Nice to get a glimpse of
Mr. Gregory's torture chamber for British Board of Film Classification members. CK nearly blew it by making a "pussy"
joke at the expense of Sir Michael. The ginger Felsher feline will demand satisfaction. Is the CKC ( Creepy Kentuckian Cat )
ready to accept the challenge of a duel? Top Tier Gentlemen.
LOL Glad you enjoyed it... Pussymania 2025 coming soon.
@@DEADPIT There is nothing in the world like cat familiars defending the honour of their warlocks.
Has anyone seen The Census Taker from 1984? It only had a VHS release. The soundtrack is by The Residents, so that could make a cool midnight movie where the band could play live to the film. It's been a while since I watched it, but maybe one of the VS sub-labels could release it. Meet the Hollowheads is another weird one that hasn't had a good release.
One day we shall have King Frat!
Demand it any time you can @severinfilms can't ignore us forever lol
This was a great interview! Well done guys!
UB heat up the legs of your Demon with a hairdryer. Move it into the correct position and hold it under cold water to get it to stay in position
UB should do an instructional video on repairing the dick demon
Really enjoyable.
And people claim cat jump scares are a cheap cliche @37:21 😆
You Know it! Slippy's cat staring a hole into your soul too lol
@@DEADPIT My cat got me proper good once can't lie, fucker jumped down from my lean-to roof onto a fence late at night 😅
B movie physical media is often a shady world, Dave’s one of the good guys, the blue in the toilet bowl
Whats Severrins most successful release?
that's an interesting one unfortunately we will have to wait until next time to ask. My guess is it would be Opera, or maybe Four Flies.
Michael Felsher is nowhere near as attractive as Idi Amin.
SEVERIN need make better quality boxsets.
That OPERA Box set lacked attention to detail and looked kinda like it was folded by an amature. Arrow and others have better looking Carboard box. That Opera has a fold with a flap 😂 and just looks crude. It aint hard comon make it look professional.
They have some of the best sets going, did you see the Clones of Bruce Lee set and or All The Haunts sets?
Suomi mainittu, torilla tavataan.
You guys will suck up to anybody for views Cardboard enthusiast
Is that right ? 😂
Ain’t we killer
100% true
Despite the love they get from RAD and Christian and Piz, the majority of people know they’re low IQ rednecks who are not to be taken seriously. Their views alone speak volumes. They hardly have any subs either when it comes to the big picture and they’ve been on TH-cam for a long time.
Please stop 4k! We do not want 4k. We will not support or subsidize 4k in any way!.
It's a sickness there's no stopping it, pal!
