For your Uggs, you could try cornstarch and dishsoap. Never tried it on shoes, but I have gotten oil/grease stains out of my hoodies using this trick.

never seen someone just drives a golf cart to grocery stores. Is this normal in the states?
There are a few cities around the US where you can have street legal golf carts! I would say it's not super normal though - definitely a more special and cool thing about living here :)
