- Can you imagine what it would be like to hate Super Mario Odyssey? I'm especially qualified to say "No," given how many thousands of hours of my life I've devoted to the enjoyment of digital jump gauntlets starring Mario. In the name of fresh video content, I thought-experimented my way into the mind of my own hypothetical worst enemy-a Super Mario Odyssey hater. Contained in this video are 9 terrible reasons one could dislike Super Mario Odyssey, if one were so inclined.
So if you're jealous of someone in particular who's going to be playing Super Mario Odyssey all weekend-maybe you don't have a Switch; maybe you want to buy one and can't find one-here's a video dedicated to you.
I have Super Mario Odyssey on my Nintendo Switch now. I'm going to eat some tacos and then play it all night, in the dark.

Don't they know that the Odyssey was about a ship faring man to rescue something and then killed a Cyclops? It's like they didn't even care about the source content. JEEEEEEZE NINTENDO.
nintendo figured that link killed enough cyclops' earlier this year, so they didn't bother with that part. don't worry though; the sheep are still in the Odyssey!

You actually don't need the motion controls to perform those moves. There are just the ones I've figured out so far, but there's probably more,
*Spin analogue stick in a circle, until you see Mario 'dancing', then throw the hat to do the spin attack.
*Ground pound and immediately throw the hat to do the auto-targeting attack.
wrong color of 2d mario is an invalid criticism since you can unlock his original outfit from super mario bros. Looks like it's a 99.911/100 after all.

0:58 seriously the 2d sections reflect your costume if its not mixed and matched and the default suit is the red & blue overalls there’s a classic nes suit in the game you that you can get with amibo or enough power moons then at the shop and that will have the classic look
The only thing I hate about Mario games was the ending.
I can predicted the story without spoilers that bowser had kidnapped the princess then Mario had to save the princess and finally Mario saved the princess and bowser failed the end.
Serious Mario+rabbids and super Mario 3D world Wii u ending was way better than super Mario odyssey in my opinion

This is hillarious
It actually is an 8/10 for me. Too much running around and collecting moons, most of which I find by accident, gets tedious after a while. The cap gimmick is fun sometimes, but it tends to replace actual platforming. The art direction can also be really weird. I don’t want to see Mario jumping around in NYC with realistic looking people and cars, something just feels off about that. The Broodals are extremely forgettable. I’d rather play a more focused linear platformer like Crash, DK, or 3D World, rather than run around aimlessly collecting pointless moons.
A very witty review well done.
The ending of the game is what I hate the most. I mean come in peach Do you know how much I had to go through to get to you and your just going to walk away?

I'm not even sure what qualifies as a "typical 3D Mario game" anymore. 64, Sunshine, and Odyssey are sandbox games that focus on exploration, 3D Land and 3D World are linear games that focus on platforming, and the Galaxy games are a mix of the two. 3D Mario as a whole won't have a proper identity unless they stick to one of their formulas, because as of right now, they keep changing everything with each game.
I dont trust those gamers critics anymore since mostly they get paid to say alot of good things for money and we never know if he is saying his own opinion or not,thats why i trust more the gaming community reviews in general.

Actually the thing about the lives is for real an issue for me. Way too easy. Lives would make it way more fun and challenging tbh.
SouperDuper Losing coins instead of lives gives you a penalty for not being good (Specially when lives are so easy to get in Mario).
I actually like that because lives feel pointless for me, I mean most games now you get a game over not much happens except it wastes your time.
Insert Username not really, it costs 10 coins to die, but coins respawn when you die, so you can simply get 10 coins from enemies and then get the coins you lost dying.... So basically dying benefits you most times.
Francisco Santos. Yeah, that's my main issue. There are sections where if you die, about 15 coins are respawned, thus you're actually getting more coins by dying. It would've been cool to have it be dynamic, as in, if you die several consecutive times in the same area, you lose more coins for each death
