Warrior code was highly individualized back then with a few common guidelines, his personal philosophy, as outlined in the book of earth as this set of instructions handed down to his adopted son Miyamoto Lori and all kenshi that study Niten Ichi Ryu later on : 1. Do not stray away from the way of the warrior. 2. Be useful to your Lord. 3. Devote yourself to your clan. 4. Remove suffering whenever you can.
Well, since the non-toxic version of the sigma male corresponds to the shaman archetype, that's not really true. They have been around as long as people have.

I’m going to disagree here. When I see a guy who’s too quiet, it seems like an affectation. And what I get from his demeanor is that deep down he is afraid. In my book, the simplest way to disarm a guy like this is to have fast wit and humor that he can’t keep up with. I love to run circles around these kind of guys. I’m not intimidated in the least.
