In addition to being my preferred form of FNF cover, with Boyfriend having lyrics rather than just beeping, there are two things that I really like about this cover
1. Set within the context of Mario's Madness itself, Boyfriend has already fought against M, and all of those in Irregularity Isle, Woodland of Lies and Content Cosmos, and he's only at the start of Hellish Heights. He's been through the many horrors before, and in one case a faker shtick with M himself. It's why GB, and later MX, don't fool him with their disguises. GB himself, too, knows his place, whether it be because of his relations with everyone else in or out of universe in the mod (Whether ir be just in Hellish Heights or the whole mod, as MX implied in V1, as well as the credits and the final trailer for the mod).
2. Even got some sprinklings of references to Black & White, in reference to GB's name not meaning anything in-universe, and the events of the story itself with his creator.

Also fun fact! GB was originally going to be the final boss of the mod
pretty sure the dev said GB is stronger than Ultra he's just forcing his way in which is why the song you're supposed to play gets overtaken by GB's poket dimension thing.

This was incredible. 2024 is already shaping up to be a great year. (For me at least) This song was a banger. My only complaint was that Mario’s or GB’s voice was a bit hard to hear because of how pixilated he was. However, I’m sure if I wore headphones next time I’d hear his voice much better. Everything else was just magnificent. The rhyming and alignment of the charting was superb.
You should be proud of yourself. Can’t wait to see the future you choose. Whatever you make what ever you choose to create I’ll follow behind it. God bless you Birb, and a happy new year to you!

Holy crap am I glad I stumbled across this video, it’s simply amazing! People tend to say that V2 of Golden Land is one of the few downgrades compared to their V1 versions, with some other examples being Race Traitors which is understandable and Powerdown which I simply disagree with. Similar to the excuses made for Powerdown, people who don’t like V2 tend to say that the instrumental is not enough rock or it’s too basic but I simply disagree the Mario SFX and Guitar and better instrumentals overall just make the song so much more enjoyable than the V1 version, it’s just a shame the song is so short. Either way banger video!
I think my main problem with the idea that v1 is better is that golden land v1 has so much less variety compared to V2, yes, the guitar in v1 is cool and all but it’s the instrument the entire time and it gets boring, v2 is more atmospheric and plays around with its instruments more
Not to mention the vocals are just better on every level
