Get those same brands but a lighter lb test like 5-10. Attach one end of the line to something strong like a tree branch, and a bucket on the other end. Slowly put weights into the bucket. Do this to both brands (same lb test of course) and see which one held up better.
Then for casting, try leaving the setting the same and cast the same lures for each brand. Set up a measuring line in a field and cast. Do 5 casts with each, calculate the average then compare.
This is very oddly specific and you don't really need to go this far, but if you do I will consider it the most helpful and in depth video of comparing braid! Awesome vids btw, love watching em

I've used the Kastking braid the last year or two. Other than the color bleeding out pretty quickly, I really haven't had any issues with it. I've run it over rocks and branches and so far so good.
Seems to cast well and has held up over the past year almost two. I have not had any "unexpected" line breaks. I usually run 20-30lb.
Not too shabby for the price. I have nothing bad to say at this point.

@@EDHSports really? I hate spiderwire. In about a week that stuff starts flaking off and becomes more like 15 lb than 20 lb braid. Haven't tried suffix yet but just bought a spool of it to try. I currently have my baitcaster spooled with 20 lb mono (very cheap mono; called "omniflex") and it works better than I thought. I just got that baitcaster and was learning how to use it still so spooled it up with cheap stuff just in case I backlash real bad... I'll try Suffix when I decide to respool.

I have 3 KastKing reels and love them, you can't beat the price for how awesome they are. I bought this same line but in 30 LB. and The first thing I noticed, was how loud it was, and how much I could feel it through the reel and rod. But after I went out fishing and set the hook on a few bass, My next cast always had a backlash, or would come out weird. The line cinches down more then any other braid I've used.
I now have about 700 yds of line I can't use.

Good comparison. I found when I have gotten snagged and having to pull hard the line will dig on itself and the next cast will cause a little lash. I have learned to clear it out before next cast. No more problems.
Try the Godline x8. A little more but really strong and a lot quieter.

I recently purchased kastking in 30, 50, and 65 pound. Overall I've been pleased with the casting and strength of the line. One thing I've noticed is that it has a bigger diameter than what I normally use but it doesn't bother me too much. The only thing I dislike about it is, on the 50 pound spool (only) the green dye bleeds off very very badly. Green spots all over my brand new boat carpet. I soaked it for a while in my bathtub and all of the water was green and that still didn't get it to slow down. But I did notice that it still hasn't faded tho. Kastking braid is good for the price per 1100 yds

Start out with braid . It’s better in my opinion there is less line twists in spinning reels And the line is smaller the only problem is , which is a very minor problem it’s a little bit harder to spool it’s to your reel because you have to put tape or put monofilament line first then tie it onto your braid, but you have to know the double uni knot which in my opinion is the easiest knot

If you want some nice braid you should look into Powerbraid from RUNCL. I use the 18lb 8-strand line in the gray color and I love it. It is the smoothest braid that I have found yet. I also haven't had any lures snap off when I accidentally nest. I have lost a few lures with the J-braid from Daiwa, same for spiderwire. The diameter is also smaller than other braids in the same weight. The color fades kinda quickly, but I have never cared anything about that. Earlier this year I pulled in a 24 in walleye with this line, so I'd say it has great abrasion resistance when it comes to teeth for that species.

good video, I bought "vicious power braid" at Ollie's (30lb, .24mm/.009 in, 150 yd) for $8. Bought a "ugly stick combo at walmart (6'6" rod/GX235 spncst reel) for $25 on clearance. Some free braid would set it up nicely. 🎣😊❤️ Keep up the fun works, FISH ON! 🎣😊❤️👍😝🎣

I personally have never tried braid, because it's too expensive for me so I rather buy monofilament. But if I did win this giveaway I would love to test out the difference between mono and braid in the way I fish. I'm still going to be a fan of this channel and support lojo fishing as much as I can because fishing is by far the best sport on the planet and let's not forgot this is the best fishing TH-cam channel.

I started out using Power Pro braided line, but bought a 1,000 meter spool of the KastKing 20lb, and I love it. The sound of the line coming through the eyelets doesn't bother me, I actually love that sound, and it casts just as good as the Power Pro. Goodbye Power Pro, I will not be coming back.

I have used both braided lines, and I really like both. availability of weights & colors the kastking is limited at times. but they are both great lines, for the price they cant be beat. I use them for day charters for 20-30# yellowtail & they hold up.

I Strictly use KastKing braid for Saltwater fishing for Rockfish. It's extremely Durable against rocks compared to Power Pro. I use 40lb & 50lb for Lingcod and Cabezon etc. It's the most durable braid I've ever used and it's cheap. I do not use it for Largemouth etc. Rather use something with more finesse and Floro compatible.
