- In this 8K UHD walking video, we have tried to cover almost all the regions of Iseltwald - a tiny dreamy village of Switzerland, located on the southern shore of Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland. It is located near to Interlaken and can be reached by car, bus or ferry/boat/cruise. The views of the sparkling lake waters and the majestic mountain chain are unique. The entire village of Iseltwald is designated as part of the Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites.
Some Highlights:
- The striking turquoise-coloured water of the lake Brienz and the quiet splashing of the waves on the shores.
- The ornate Seeburg Castle along with majestic mountain panorama and impressive natural scenery offers peace and relaxation.
- Interplay of tradition and present in the picturesque village of Iseltwald.
- Almost car free village :-)
Iseltwald is also the perfect starting point for a hike to the impressive and refreshing Giessbach waterfall that thunders directly into Lake Brienz.

I can't believe this!! We stayed in Iseltwald at Chalet Du Lac on Saturday 24 June !! But it was a lot less crowded when the day trippers leave !! We must have been following you around Switzerland 🙂
Well..it’s possible but we traveled back to Zurich that day after shooting iseltwald and some hike around Giessbach falls. 😉
