To all who are looking for a suggestion to buy a new car. I will share my experience here.
I am a 1st time car buyer in my entire surrounding and I decided to start with second hand cars until unless I am getting familiar with all about car usage and maintenance. After looking at used car market I decided to buy a new one. Then initially I started with swift/ignis but later I realised that I need 3 people seating in rear seat should be possible especially in long drive because my family is little big and atleast my car should be able to Accommodate 5 people including driver. Anyhow swift is coming close to 10L so I looked at nexon, venue/sonet. Basically I am little bit bulky person with XL size I couldn’t even sit comfortably in rear seat in venue and sonet I right away rejected them nexon was okay but still I got confused a lot with multiple variants also 3 cylinder engine and also Tata service then I decided that only sedan can check all my primary check boxes subcompact sedan other than amaze I don’t want to choose anything like Dzire, aura and Tigor which is still not giving rear seat comfort like amaze. I want to buy manual car and in amaze 2 gear laggy issue made me to think about it and I had no other option than cvt which is costing me around 11.5L so I was looking at mid size sedan like ciaz, city, virtus and slavia. I didn’t kept Verna in my wish list because of its budget, virtus base variant and ciaz came in my final filter. Looking at fuel economy, rear seat comfort and also maintenance I went with ciaz. No facelift, no features, still old in design but i felt like it’s a practical car i brought ciaz Zeta MT at 12.75L. People can think that how a new car buyer/driver can drive 4.49 meter sedan but I went to driving school for 10 days where they thought driving Dzire in Bangalore city traffic. After that I started driving in regular intervals unless until I book ciaz I drives brezza diesel, i20 diesel, Innova diesel, after booking ciaz I drive ciaz diesel for 5 days which gave me good handling and control and now at this moment I have driven 2100 kms in 50 days. Please feel free to reply to text me in insta if you have any questions.
@viprajesh bro pin this it might be helpful for someone also please dm me if you are coming to Bangalore will share my experience in your channel if you permits

My requirement is almost same as you. I liked and short listed Fronx and i20. Safety of 6 airbag etc superficial while car is not rated in NCAP/ 1 or 2 star rating. Finally, I booked Nissan Magnite CVT Turbo. Though it is at the bottom of sales figure, Bangalore has many service centers. 4 star rated and with almost all necessary features known for value for money. Maintenance cost is the lowest. Expecting delivery this week.

I completely disagree with your stance on Aura. Aura is well known for it's rear seat comfort because I own one and my family enjoys it, especially my 8 year old kid, who always wants to sit in the rear seat for its comfort and ARMREST.
If you look at the numbers, Aura is 2nd in the list of 2023 Top Selling Sedan Cars. So, don't just generalize things because you didn't like them.
Between all the best for your new car.

I too noticed this trend. When i first learnt how to drive my first car was wagon-r back in 2012. It cost around 3.5 to 3.8 lakhs top end. Now i'm driving venue which suits and fulfils my needs.
The reason i think why smaller suvs sells more and new comers slide over these segments are
    1. More number of cars are riding in the road than before hence traffic congestion and hence smaller cars makes more sense. Driving Endeavor, fortuner size cars are more and more difficult and not practical in nowadays road traffic conditions.
    2. Budget constraint - Not everybody can afford 20+ lakhs cars. Average budget of new owners ranges from 3 lakhs. But the need for higher higher ground clearance increased due to poor road condition. Driving an ignis or tata punch than dzire makes more practical nowadays. swift, indica i10 buyers nowadays turned to exter punch, brezza for their ground clearance and bigger looks.
    3. Sedans offer more comfort but crossovers are again more practical. Like Thirupur mohan sir said in a video sedans are lengthier but out of which passengers get only a portion of that space both front and rear end are waste of space. On the contrary hatchbacks and crossovers and suvs take full advantage of space.
    4. Youngsters likes rugged bulky looks of crossovers than family car looking sedans and hatchback. Car manufacturers take advantage of this and brand their smaller crossovers as suvs.
Simply to speak micro, mini, compact suvs are the new hatchbacks...

Suvs became popular due to bad roads, but I don't know why new drivers buy it, one reason I would say is many new drivers or ladies who are short prefer it for having a view of the full bonnet in most case or the high seat which is easy to drive, and corner judgement
But the con for new drivers is, the more faster you drive the more difficult it will be just for the reason suvs are not sharp handlers and needs proper planning to turn in sharp curve or while overtaking it takes more radius
I went from a estilo, to rapid now to a suv that's the learning curve for me, that's how it should be

    (CAR UNDER BODY CHASSIS)
    1..FIRST TIME CAR BUYERS.
    2..HOBBY CAR BUYERS
    3..ONE TIME CAR BUYERS.
Hatchback to Suv
    Suv to Mpv
    Mpv to Luxury
    No problem at all.
Any way your content very superb❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤❤

Whether new car or old car people will learn by driving only..i also prefer new car as a beginner bcoz i wont face any mechanical technical issue like old cars (now a days old cars also costly)...new car gives me confidence to enter into traffic or high way...as a influencer u spoke about safety driving i really like it...but u should not discourage people's to move away from suv as a beginner...after 6months beginner can handle traffic and highway..for 6months again cant change car...i respect your view on safety riding....

For the Indian Road conditions we need cars with higher ground clearance. But if you give more ground clearance to sedan or hatchback it won't look good at all, so crossovers are actually best for Indian Road conditions, I have a verna, and it's axles damaged badly because of bad roads.. So crossovers are best. I don't see any issues in calling calling crossover as suv,, sometimes I call my dad as bro and my son calls me bro.. That does not mean they are my brothers.. I think if hatchback or sedan can suit everyone then crossovers (suv) will also suit everyone, let everyone get what they like and afford..

Sir Thar is not just a label vehicle. It is for a purpose too. I need a high stance and stress-free ride on all bad roads (already all roads are bad where I live near vandalur). Also less maintenance. Descent mileage too 13-14 in the city and 16+ on highways - diesel manual RWD model. So I am happy with my choice since we are only 2 me and my wife. Adding to this I have a Skoda Rapid Automatic as a primary car which is very tough to handle on bad roads ABS sensors easily get hit for example.

Sir what you said is right, today bad roads it's difficult to ride a sedan like rapid with 165mm ground clearance, but a vehicle like thar enna context nu one point is there, there is no point in buying a thar unless you are living in a hill station or your surrounding are a typical off roading surface. 90 pecent of cities bad roads ku vehicle like elevate is enough,
And thar makes sense if your distance is short, but it's going to be a headache if it's your primary car and you want to take it to highways regularly or if you are long distance traveler like me.
Then my parents or my wife can't sit for a long time with the ruff suspension underneath and the stiff posture.
These days the suspension of a crossover is😂 tuned in a way that it can withstand decent force or load.
That's why market is going towards crossovers. Your problem is either your sedan is too low or your thar is a perfect offroader.
I would rather have a fronx and a thar if I can sacrifice a luxury of a sedan.
So your point is not entirely wrong, but I would say the combo is a bit iffy which I can't or don't blame you

And another thing I see in new drivers is, their aim is to take their cars to highways as soon as possible, they don't know when to brake, when to accelerate and how to approach turns and in what speed.
First city la free ya otanum where you will learn to drive within closed and narrow space, next single lane la otanum where cars move faster, you have to drive and avoid on coming traffic
Then hills, many people struggle in slops or in a mall multi floor climbing.

1.) Due to poor unscientific speed breakers, buyers are forced to get SUV
2.) It gives the sense of pride to see bigger car and wheels
3.) Not much sacrifice in mileage.
    4.) Commanding road view.
    5.) Safety is usually better.
SUV's phenomena is not only in India , it is across the world even in US, so much that one of their bigger car makers Ford has stopped selling hatches and sedans there.

Sir neenga solradhu ungaluku OK va irukalam, but there are more people who take driving for granted while learning, a suv will take more effort to handle it, and as I said it in the above comment, suv will always be different to how a normal car handles, it turns larger, has that body roll, and road clearance matters, all these points comes in handy in single roads. The more faster you go the more difficult it will be for new drivers

Yes right, and that's right too. But time-line matters, because a manual will teach you how to drive a car in various conditions, when to brake, when to accelerate and how drive in a curve etc in a way it will tech you how to control your car that will help you in emergency situation, eg in our single lane roads in and around erode town most of the bus drives will cross the line and come into your lane that time, you might need to brake, down shift, partially slow and push the accelerator at the right time etc. All these are skills which will be helpful in future, but automatics are like just accelerators and brakes. And in manual one beautiful thing is there are many ways to slow a car, 1 brake as in both, 2 down shift, 3 clutch, brake combo
So point is you will learn more things in a manual as long as you keep driving a manual,
As they say a manual driver can drive a auto any day, but a life long auto driver cannot drive a manual suddenly

Slippers remove panitu drive pandrathu reason bro

    • @autotrendtamil

Hi Bro, There are several reasons why it's generally a bad idea to drive a car without slippers or shoes:
      Reduced control:
Slipperiness: Bare feet or those clad in flimsy slippers can easily slip off the pedals, especially during sudden braking or maneuvering. This can lead to losing control of the vehicle and potentially causing an accident.
Reduced feel: Shoes provide better traction and a more precise feel for the pedals. Bare feet might struggle to modulate pressure smoothly on the brake, accelerator, and clutch (if driving a manual), potentially leading to jerky movements or improper control.
      Safety concerns:
Foot protection: Shoes protect your feet from potential hazards like sharp objects, hot surfaces, or broken glass in case of an accident. Bare feet are much more vulnerable to injuries in such situations.
Medical issues: If you have foot conditions like diabetes or neuropathy, driving barefoot can be extra risky due to reduced sensitivity and potential for complications.
      Legal matters:
Legality: While not explicitly illegal in most places, driving barefoot might be against regulations or attract suspicion from law enforcement in some jurisdictions. Check local laws to be sure.
      General discomfort:
Exposure: Bare feet can get uncomfortable due to hot or cold surfaces, sun exposure, or insect bites while driving.
While some individual preferences might exist, it's strongly recommended to wear appropriate shoes while driving for your own safety and that of others on the road. Opt for comfortable, flat-soled shoes with good grip to maximize control and minimize risks.
Here are some additional things to consider:
Some types of shoes, like high heels or flip-flops, can also be unsafe for driving due to instability or interfering with pedal operation.
If you absolutely have to drive barefoot due to an emergency, prioritize finding a safe area to pull over and put on footwear as soon as possible.
      I hope this information helps!

I learned driving in alto 800 and got license 8 years back (2016).
Now I having Maruti baleno 2023 model from 18th August 2023. (Manual)
In-between these years I drived two times like few minutes only each times.
      1. Maruti wagon R, (ground)
      2. Hyundai i10 (I think).
I learned driving myself, last 1 to 1.5 years by watching youtube channels like yours and others.
Thank you for your efforts, teaching. ❤😊🎉
Now I driving my car in 'not wearing a slipper' (bare foot) because my slipper is elastic type, elastics are loosed, that's why I driving bare foot.
I driven my car more than 900km myself (totally 1031.6km driven).
I already made my decision about buying a causal shoe for driving.
      So thanks.❤😊🎉
