I loved this conversation. It would be wonderful if someone could edit and read the questions that are briefly displayed. Many of us tend to listen and not watch fully these types of videos and we thus miss the questions he is responding to.

I'm a better being having listened to both of you and received your offerings over the past few years. Thank you for this conversation.

Tools and Humanity have been historically evolving together. We have always been coexisting in Symbiosis and partaking into each other's development and evolution.
It is possible that we are just entering a cycle where it is now The Tools' turn to take the lead. The Humans have been leading the refinement of the Tools, now the Tools will be refining the Humans until we trade the lead again at the next cycle...

Popular renditions of justice were never adequate.
I feel these times are just revealing what was so ... across the board ...

This is so powerful for me be-cause I'm scribing a book with the word "En-Glitch" in it, as a new moniker for English, explaining its biases, and possible edits for allyship, and I'm am mostly Euro person... a few years ago I started a petition to change the definition of "fair"- to futher make my point... tAnkhYew sow much for speaking on these subjects. It's been mostly white people whom oppose what I say, sadly. BIPOC people tend to get what I am saying more often and I identify with transracial even though I don't look it; perhaps race-dysphoria rather...

In fact it could follow that a table could be conscious

Love the metaphor that we are perhaps, at moments, like ants in a pheromonal death spiral. I’ve heard someone - I think Joscha Bach - say that humans are currently in a “swarming phase “. So perhaps humanity’s relationship with the field of intelligence is disrupted by this swarming phase we’re in.

Consciousness may not require self ~ however does that doesnt preclude the concept of consciousness delighting in self ... much like consciousness doesn't require the scent of Rose to experience itself as Flower ... and yet how barren to reduce the riot of diverse aromas, colours and forms ... to Flower.
Not to mention that Individual flowers have individual chemistry that is specifically medicinal for humans emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically.
I think human unique finger print is like that.
A unique medicine, grown in specific environment that has a unique fragrance to waft upon the world.
I wonder why we cannot speak of interconnected Oneness in the same sentence as unique fingerprint .. of course we can ... because I just did 😅
Speaking of fingerprints ... interesting we have these extraordinary swirls on the end of our fingertips with no purpose other that to symbolise unique identity.
Which says to me ~ unique identity is worth considering as an important part of the existential equation?

Totally agree. I believe there's something in individual experience that is critical to a oneness of consciousness (that if a singular Consciousness wants to know itself, as Federico Faggin says, then it must know itself through individually perceived experience, including phenomena like delight). So yes, rather than being 'required' it is instead much more than that (ie: not just "critical function"). To delight in the scent of a rose through individual selves.. so that consciousness may know this about itself as oneness).
Ok, maybe I've steered off your point, please do let me know.

So AI is indebted to the squishiness too? 😅

    "Nature isnt natural"
I'm interested in why the action of " ... constantly producing and departing and doing things that may not be conveniently located in language" would be construed as artificial or unatural?
Sounds pretty natural to me ... I would love to hear more on that ...

Maybe Bayo meant that in a relative sort of sense.. that it may appear so from the perspective of nature as normalcy?

If intelligence is not human ~ then it could follow that AI could be conscious

.. or that intelligence is a exo-conscious phenomenon.. maybe just a tasty snack food that feeds consciousness, but ultimately is not essential? So humans provide value because they have developed such a niche product.. of generating copious amounts of so-called intelligence candy.

    The squishiness created AI?
