You dont really need all that wire to keep the stems straight.
There is a method for keeping them straight just by piercing the stems of gerbera with a sewing needle. That way air bubbles that can easily get caught in the stems have a way to get out which is why the stems droop.
You can do this with Tulips as well or really any soft stem flower that droops very easily
