I thoroughly recommend Whitstable it is great. It has southeastern high speed and commuters from Victoria cannon Street and Maidstone east to Margate and Ramsgate. I'm lucky to have been there.
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, it's a good station to come you just need to maker sure that there are plenty of trains running for when you do come here
Yesterday I went to Whitstable on a class 395 nice station that is. An LNER 225 brought me from London Kings Cross to Stevenage with a service to Bradford Forster Square. A Thameslink class 700 brought me from Letchworth to London Kings Cross via Welwyn Garden City. That came in from Cambridge.
From the sound of things Jarred it's an ideal station to watch trains go by quiet not many in the way of people or indeed station staff my kind of station even though the clip was short it was still nice to watch based on serenity alone.
IT's a very nice station to come to but you just need to make sure that there are plenty of trains running for when you do come here. I was hoping for more freight but sadly a lot of them were cancelled for some reason.
There's nothing at the station showing any of the electrification work, unlike your last video at Newport. How is the work going through Severn Tunnel for it? Is there an estimated time of completion for the electrification work?
To my understanding they have completed the electrification through the tunnel, as to why the masts haven't been installed here yet is quite baffling to say the least, especially as the work is being carried out further down the line. I don't really know when the work is due to be completed
Thanks very much, it's an alright station so long as the freight trains are running, otherwise you will find a lot of the time you will be standing around waiting for something to arrive
Trainline5000 Yes, as said above, you get a lot of freight trains there as well as least 1 GWR hitachi every 5-10 minutes. I used to go down there a lot for up to 2 hours, and used to spot at least 14 trains.
A proper veteran this station. Great start with GBRF, shame the rest was mostly meat cargo. Still, a bit of the ol'habit in there. Nice film, short and sweet. Thanks! B.P.
Hi I think you should go to Bradford-on-Avon I don't really know what line it it on but the services are gwr and some south west trains and also freight I think you would really like it there from BRITISH TRAIN SPOTTER☺
Whilst having my camera on a tripod would make for a much steadier shot I feel that it would take away my style of filming, being able to focus on several different things in quick succession would be a great deal easier if I were to stay with my current hand held methods :)
there is announcements but only the ones that says this train is on time this is operated by great western railway eta its a quiet announcer but dosnet say stand away from the yellow line fast train coming

Thank you for the recommendation. It's certainly somewhere I can look into for a future film
Tornado922 no problem I just thought you'd want to go to somewhere I have been and you haven't been before
Very nice video! Nice to hear the history of the station, some very nice shots too! I need to film here sometime.
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, it's a good station to come you just need to maker sure that there are plenty of trains running for when you do come here

Not complete until at least 2019 to Cardiff and not Swansea

Great video! Was thinking of visiting this station soon, would it be worth it?

It's a great little station to come to but it would've been better if there had been more freight on offer that day
Next time. Still an awesome day and film, thanks again! B.P.

I can certainly look into it for you
Would it be easier to give your interesting commentary if the camera was on a tripod ?
Whilst having my camera on a tripod would make for a much steadier shot I feel that it would take away my style of filming, being able to focus on several different things in quick succession would be a great deal easier if I were to stay with my current hand held methods :)
OK. They're still enjoyable; keep 'em coming................Mike in Wales
Thank you kindly for saying so :)
Nice freight train at the start there, shame about the others.
It would've been nice to see the other freight trains running that day

I noticed no Station Announcements? Not Great If You Was Unware of passing trains 👎
there is announcements but only the ones that says this train is on time this is operated by great western railway eta its a quiet announcer but dosnet say stand away from the yellow line fast train coming
Sion's Train Videos Not good 👎
but at least it has one
I've always found it odd that this station doesn't have a real PA system. The dot matrix microPA units just aren't enough here
Nice video
Thanks very much
