The Adiyogi statue in Chikkaballapur, near Bangalore, is a 112-foot-tall bust dedicated to Adiyogi, the first yogi. This monumental sculpture symbolizes the 112 methods he offered for attaining well-being and self-realization. The site also features the Yogeshwar Linga, a consecrated space designed to support one's spiritual practices.
Visiting Hours: The premises are open daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Location: Situated approximately 65 kilometers from Bangalore, the site is accessible via a 1.5 to 2-hour drive, depending on traffic conditions. The roads are in good condition, and you can travel by car, taxi, bike, or bus. Bus services are available from Bangalore to Chikkaballapur and then from Chikkaballapur to Isha Junction on a regular basis.
Offerings and Activities: Visitors can participate in various offerings, including:
Yoga Sandhya: A 40-minute program designed to imbibe the grace of Adiyogi, offering health and spiritual benefits.
Samarpane: An offering made to the Yogeshwar Linga for the well-being of individuals or families.
Jala Arpane: An offering of water and neem leaves to the linga to become receptive to its energies.
Mala Arpane: Offering fresh flower garlands to the Naga.
Deepa Arpane: Lighting ghee lamps as an invitation to grace.
Evening Light Show: A spectacular light and sound show is held daily at 7:00 PM, projecting vibrant images onto the Adiyogi statue. The show lasts approximately 14 minutes and is free to attend. It's advisable to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot.
Amenities: The site offers facilities such as restrooms and a restaurant serving snacks. Parking is available for a fee of ₹50.
