    Just purchased my first Sport Trac this week, not even knowing this truck existed! Not knowing much about it, I took a chance on it. I must say, I’m very satisfied with my decision so far. I have been hearing nothing but good things about them. Also all the compliments don’t hurt either.😊

    He complained about how hard it was to reach the trunk on the Ridgeline, but neglected to show the dual tailgate. It also swings open like a door for easy access. I own a 2006 Ridgeline and am currently looking at Sport Tracs to replace my recently totalled Mazda b-series (Ranger).

      @@beepbeepbeepgo2122 Same. I mean, I bought a Sport Trac. But I do wish it had that trunk like the Ridgeline. I've never put anything in the front trunk of the Ford yet. I have a pair of vice grips in one of the crappy little rear cubbies, lol.

    I have gotten my 2007 Sport Trac Limited V8 and its been a blast since then! I have looked and tested and drove many others but this hands down is exactly what I was looking for! Not too big, not too small, lots of power and got up to 26mpg on the highway and atleast well over 21mpg while speeding and passing hard! Everyone that I have showed it to in person fell in love with it and especially after I let them take it for a spin wanted one for themselves! I love it! More than I expected!

    I am a Ford man myself. The in bed trunk on the Ridgeline is great. My buddy has one and he loves it. Now first of all you don't buy a sport utility truck if u are going to be filling it with gravel and parking it in your driveway for a month. Can't get to the in bed trunk with all that gravel? You bought the wrong truck. These are for people like me that want a SUV but need a truck bed once and a while. That is me. The Ridgeline is fine but I will stick with the Ford. The Ford interiors are nicer and so is the stereo. All things equal I go with the one with the better stereo!

      And the Ford Explorer Sport Trac has a small bed I even think the original Ford Ranger from 2011 the smaller truck has a bigger bed. I see the main reason people get the Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Cuz it has a big cabin space so can hold like five adults easily cuz it's pretty much a SUV with a truck bed. And you are right the Honda Ridgeline little trunk thing is kind of unique

    this is the most biased video i have ever seen lmao... i like the sport trac but im pretty sure the dakota beats it in power, toyota and frontier in reliability, and ridgeline in being more mild mannered. that 4.0L V6 gets the same mpg as some V8s.. the v8 is out powered by the dakotas 4.7v8 and in reliability it is on par or slightly beaten by nissan and toyota. honda too but its the least preferred model.

    Looking to buy one of these real soon, I was unaware that Ford even made a pick up explorer, after reading up the specs I was shocked how much better it was than other smaller trucks, IRS for comfort, 6spd automatic, over 6,000lbs of towing capacity and the fact that it actually has a V8 with 300hp 😱 this thing is literally the soul of a f150 in a Ford Explorer package.

    re. Ridgeline, looks like if you only put things in that lower cargo area to the top of it's rim, the spare tire will slide out. no one said you have to stuff it. I prefer the spare be underneath too, but don't over trash that set up. and the Sport trac steering wheel I think only has up/down movement and no telescoping, oddly, which sucks.. But I'm considering one of these as for my diy projects

    Now I own a 04 sport trac xlt. I've had it for like 8 months and it had 175000 miles when I got it. The truck is really practical and good for what he's advertising. But one thing I know about my ST is that there's always something wrong with it. I did buy it pretty worn but still expect a "truck" to take a decent licking before it gives, right? My truck has had oil leaks, transmission leaks, brakes needed r be changed, and bushings to be replaced. This could be from the previous owner neglecting it but just saying. If the Ridgeline didn't have those stupid flares that kept you from getting in the bed, I think I could get over the FWD part(though I'd prefer it be RWD and 4.0).

      @mr.boostang2064 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm a salesman and i can smell a bias 2.5 miles away. And over the internet i can smell an extreme bias rather than expressing honest advantages and disadvantages depending on the vast array of circumstances a buyer will find themselves in.
    BTW theres a reason he doesnt have the balls to put this up against a Frontier. Thats because it has the same frame as the Titan, and he doesnt want to eat his foot. I have ridden all these trucks, and can say that the Ford is better being acar than a truck.

    If this was supposed to be a "competitive comparison" then where was the comparison? First of all, the only thing I hear while watching this is BIAS BIAS BIAS from FORD! Ok, we'll start with what I believe is the most important point. This is a sport utility "truck" as he states multiple times, then goes on to say that the Sport Trac has its fancy ass independent rear suspension. Did you not fucking hear yourself? Its a sport utility TRUCK! Its supposed to be a truck, ride like a truck, look like a truck and tow like a truck. "Real world use" (as said in the video) would be really helpful if the truck had a limited slip differential (Tacoma TRD), a solid axle (again TRD) and a Towing mode (TRD once again). Ok, that's fancy, it has "18" wheels" and "4 wheel disc brakes" but who cares. And I cannot get past the fact that he says the Sport Trac "defined the market." Really? Defined the market. Because last time I checked Toyota has been making 4x4 light duty sport trucks, for lets see.....EVER. How about you pull your head out of your ass and see the bigger picture. Look at what the other trucks have to offer. He hardly touched on either the Dakota or the Tacoma, and ripped the Ridgeline a new ass for no reason. Its a comparison, so do me a favor and compare the vehicles and stop being such a biased, ignorant Ford lover.

    Ridgeline HORRIBLE cargo access & STUPID trunk spare tire location.
    Went camping with some buds split up between my 2000 Frontier and my cousins NEW Ridgeline. Both beds fully loaded. Gave us a headstart, cause he would catch up & "smoke us". He blew a tire. Had to unload EVERYTHING roadside, unfamiliar place, almost no daylight.THEN change the tire.THEN load EVERYTHING back.
    They arrived 3 hours late, dirty, tired, and in horrible mood.
    Meanwhile, we were BBQing and having beers by the lake.

  • @dconde78
    @dconde78 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    At least it has a lockable in-bed-trunk with a dual action tailgate. I prefer that instead of use that space for the spare tire that I could use one time every 3 years. I don't have to buy that ugly tool box that steal 1/3 of the bed room. And for me that is the best location to keep the spare tire clean and safe. I just put it on the bed in case that I will fill the bed with heavy stuff.

    Has this guy driven a Toyota Tacoma? My experiences driving the Sport Trac and then Tacoma put the Tacoma in a far superior position than the Ford. The Tacoma has better manuverability, stiffness, and versatility than the Ford. The Sport Trac isn't a bad vehicle. It's main flaws are its weight, size, and quality of the interior. The Tacoma is just a better driving experience.

    the honda ridgeline is miles better for the same model year, talking about not even competing. the ridgeline beat the shit out of this thing in every way imagineable lmao. It not only has more power, but it doesn't look like an ugly piece of shit too. also the sport trac is a FORD. and we all know how "reliable" ford trucks are. it has a larger bed, a more spacious interior, more convinient features, i.e a bed trunk and many others. this is the most biased youtube review i've ever seen.

      The avalanche, though true was chevy's response to the sport trac, is not in the same class. Avalanche is full size while sport trac was midsize which is why I presume it wasn't mentioned.

    Yah, you can say but if you put the trac vs a dakota. In power, towing, and over all strength the dakota comes on top in the small truck market. But i must say your close

    first gen st beats second gen. second gen killed the st line.... no one wants a fully independent suspension truck... or 18 inch rims on a 4x4 with fender wells that only fit 33's... unless you live in CA or Florida that is...

  • @yates656
    @yates656 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Sport Trac is hardly a truck but sadly its more truck than any of the 'competitors' in this video. The Dodge is a clunk of shit and will be the first to go, the Toyota will be recalled a billion times if it doesn't rust in half first, and the Ridgeline is a Honda Pilot with the back hacked off.

  • @TheRobloxFilms12
    @TheRobloxFilms12 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    First off the ridgeline is 4WD. If you press 4 lock it sets it into 4WD now get a life you ford fanboy/seller.
