Really enjoyed hearing you talk about your son with autism Dave. I’m struggling with it myself. My son is 6 and nonverbal and we’re definitely in that difficult time. It’s been so tough to accept, and even with his IEP he’s only able to go to school 2 hours at a time and he’s having a dozen plus meltdowns a day because of sensory overload and being pissed he cant communicate. Frustrating as hell but fortunately I’m able to be with him all day it’s just bs our insurance doesn’t cover Jack shit for therapy and North Carolina is a shitty state where a child can’t qualify for help if their parents make anything above poverty sadly!
I'd move to a country where you'd get that support you deserve for your kid if possible... Neurotypical kids are easy to raise, but autistic kids require smarts and persistence, which you'd build with your lifting journey XD The meltdowns are cus little dude cannot express himself, and can be preempted. If no one has suggested already, opt for sign language or pictureboards, I used it for my non verbal son and it helped massively. Pec boards I think their called. Over time he started becoming verbal, he's still learning, long road ahead. TH-cam is a blessing because of how much "free" consulting I have been able to obtain XD
Keep up the great work Dave and the whole Elitefts family 👏❤️ We love the brand appreciate all your work and content ❤️👏 Bought my first elitefts product in 2009
Without I Mark I don’t think I would of realized I can make a hobby of learning about health and fitness on TH-cam. Now I have at least a dozen great channels in the rotation.
Are you guys re uploading old videos for any reason? Other than the fact its good to push out these educational videos for new subs to see? ❤ God bless the crew and everyone watching 💪
@elitefts The team Mark was talking about who deals with Autism is Improve Inc by Julien Pineau and Mike Ramirez. They are working on a protocol to help regulate the nervous system of people on the spectrum with the University of Indiana. it’ll be amazing to see them on the podcast with Dave :)
Whoever is doing the intro's I would like to give some credit, the work is obvious and will pull in a different crowd, hopefully, than the show currently already has. I am 41 and I could give a flying fook about the constant movement/in your face type of editing BUT for the majority with toktick brain it is more likely to hook them. So to whoever is putting in the time to do these, well done.
Dave's son sounds a lot like my brother. He also has aspergers. It's been over a year since i last talked to him. He's still mad at me for a stupid reason.
How you do is as follows. If you’re benching 200lb. Hold 210lb worth of total tension. Now your Lats have 10lb off tension to pull down. This is what I call the control method of lifting. It guarantees a perfect groove as antagonist is being used correctly.
Not sure if I can handle two and a half hours of "eat carnivore, stop lifting heavy, do jiu-jitsu and YOU NEED TO RUN" on my powerlifting podcast. Or those GOATA goofs.
Date Tate and John Meadows along with Mark Bell are just amazing humans and literally “live to pass on”
This is factual and very eloquently said. Could not think of the words, so I thank you for that.
We've got two big name Legends right here sharing a table haha this is going to be awesome!

Definitely look into moving, one of my professors has a son with autism and move to SC from Asheville bc of how shit the support was in NC
Thank decades of repugs

He said it’s so much worse than a shaker cup 👀🤣
Interested in hearing mark not blabbing about Keto carnivore or getting interrupted about how everything applies to Ju-juitsu
Fuck nevermind the three amigos are all there 😂
You could probably fill a whole aviary with the amount of Joe rogan Parrots there are.
That’s cuz this is quiet old

They don't hold a grudge unless for a good reason.
Or maybe you triggered them in a special way XD
Can you edit out Andrew and Nsima and reupload it
How good was Greg panora
