No worries Dragoon. These are some Aussie proofs I’d been collecting prior to the pandemic. They were pretty affordable then, although I seen prices creep upwards lately. Cheers and keep stacking ✌🏻😊
Awww thanks Stephen. Glad you liked them! I’m sure you have quite the collection yourself. All these coins were purchased pre-pandemic. Back then, I could still find the unpopular ones selling around the $20-$25 mark. At the time, they were a great way to add variety to my silver collection at very low premiums. Nowadays I’m seeing the same coins selling above $40. At that price, I would rather buy an ounce of 999 silver. Are you seeing the same in Brissy? Cheers ✌🏻😊
I haven't noticed Georgie we have the wife's family coming out for Xmas from Worcester and we have to tighten our belt and save for a trip to Cairns after they arrive and it isn't cheap around Xmas, we are all looking forward to seeing them it's been a long time six years. I hope you keep getting more bargains buddy.Cheers. Stephen.@@send2georgie_S2G
Indeed. and certain countries now have 8-9% taxes on all incoming purchases online so it gets really prohibitively expensive to buy coins. I feel the only way going forward is to travel to those countries and purchase from the source mints/stores like how S2G do sometimes when he is overseas.
Yes Bob, it wouldn’t make sense to ship these coins from downunder, especially considering how expensive shipping/postage are nowadays. Still they are beautiful silver coins and IMO, if you spot them at your LCS at near spot, you should grab them! 🤩
Btw Bob, I posted a package to you. Hope you’ll like what I sent. The Guardhouse box has certainly triggered my ocd, I ended getting a couple of PerthMint dragon coinbars! Something I had tried to avoid LOL 😂
You have some great collections. Always showing us pieces that we don't see anywhere, it's cool. Thank you for sharing. I would be curious to see all your collections at once.
A full stack video? Well I might do one at the end of this year, but only in bullion. Honestly I dunno have that many collectables NC. They are all stored in boxes like the one you saw in the video. I think I have 2-3 of these boxes with collectable silver coins. So nothing to shout about LOL 😂 Cheers and keep on stacking my friend ✌🏻😊
Thank you for your service Acca! Didn’t know you were in the Army… Its a funny thing about them boxes. The older boxes (with the coat of arms on the cover) are in perfect beautiful condition. The newer boxes (without markings) are not! In fact they tend to disintegrate even though I kept them sealed, used silica gel and haven’t touched them in 2-3yrs… weird 😂😂
@eric2082 looking at the boxes, I’m thinking of doing the same. I might even send the better coins for grading and chuck the boxes away! Cheers buddy ✌🏻😊
Stack what you like indeed! When I started with the first coin many years back, I could find the unpopular ones for ard SG$20-$25. That wasn’t too bad considering they are proof silvers. I could still find deals pre-covid but now the unpopular coins are retailing (eg at MR Roberts) at above SG$40. At that price, I rather buy 1oz bullion! 😂 Still I try to pick one or two up every year when I see deals on them. Certainly nice coins to look at. Cheers StG and happy stacking ✌🏻😊
As I have previously said, you really do have an impressive collection of Aussie collectable coins S2G and today's featured RAM silver coins are no exception, even for the most avid collector, with so many coins available from RAM and the Perth Mint, it's a daunting task, if not an impossible task, to try and collect every coin, thanks for sharing your numismatic interests and expertise. Cheers Peter J 😂👋💪👌🇦🇺 🐨🦘👍
Awww you welcome Peter. I dun see many videos on these smaller $1 proof coins so am glad to share the few I have in my collection. They were all purchased pre-pandemic. Back then, I could score the unpopular one for dirt cheap so makes sense to snap them up when I can find them. Seems that has changed nowadays. I am seeing the same coins selling at MR Robert at upwards of $40! At that premium, I would just go for an ounce of 999 bullion. Are you seeing the same at your LCS?
Awww too kind Jamie. These were added to my collection years ago and I thought you all might like a look. Prices have gone up so I dun think I will be adding anymore, unless I can find deals out there. Hope your doin collecting journey is going well. I have a Japanese coin video uploaded weeks ago but it kept getting pushed back as I schedule in new content. Shld be published before Xmas though LOL 😂 Cheers! ✌🏻😊
Wow! I'm happy to see that someone else on here shares an interest in these coins. To be honest, I feel that they are not very popular but I love them which is why I collect them. You have a nice collection so far mate. I did make a video on my collection and still need to make a part 2. Thanks for sharing S2G 😉
You welcome Ozzy. Good to know there are collectors out there like yourself getting these small silver coins for your collection. You’re right, these have not been very popular and I still see many in the coin stores when I visit Australia. Its a shame cause some of them are really pretty. I used to snap them up whenever I see them on sale but prices have crept up since the pandemic so am more careful now with my purchases. That being said, I’m glad I have these in my collection, thank you so much for watching buddy. Cheers and keep on stacking ✌🏻😊
@@send2georgie_S2G Thank you S2G! I agree with you, they are beautiful coins. That's nice you were able to pick them up when they were cheap. I was lucky enough to do the same. Glad to hear that mate. You're welcome!
Yes! I did the video on the Wheat Sheaf awhile back. Scored from Brigandi NYC and brought the coin back closer to Australia LOL 😂 Glad you liked the presentation and I agree! There’s not many videos out there on these smaller silver proofs. It’s a shame the cases they come in dun stand the rest of time. I’m considering sending the coins off for grading and chucking the cases away. But that would be a decision for another day. Cheers and keep on stacking my friend 😊✌🏻
Great reviews on these beautiful coins😆👍. I myself have only branched out to Australian lunar series coins this year(from SG coins) so these are new knowledge and information. Thanks! Also, S2G is right. Please don't stack these coins. They are produced for numismatic value for keepsake and not for stacking purposes(i.e. not silver bullions). They will usually commemorate a certain event in the year that the coin is produced.
Great comment eric! And I couldn’t agree with you more. These coins carry quite a premium nowadays, so much more than before the pandemic. I’ve seen them selling at MR Roberts at more than an ounce of pure silver, so makes more sense to just go for bullion. Still they are nice coins to collect and admire from time to time. I do try to pick up one or two every year, especially when I spot them on sale. Its awesome you’re diversifying your stack and including coins from other countries. That certainly is a great way to keep your enthusiasm alive and in high spirits! Cheers and keep stacking ✌🏻😊
Hiya Acca. Hope you’re stay safe and keeping well. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to watch my vids. Btw when are you getting back to Perth? 😊✌🏻
As nice as these silver coins are, I agree these coins are not a target for silver stacking. Numismatic Collecting though , they are great coins to have. Thanks for sharing again Send.
Yes Phil, not the best idea to stack these coins. I dun think you can sell them to the bullion store like Bullion Now or Bullionstar. It might even be difficult to sell them to coin stores. So best to invest in these coins as collectables. They do make a very nice set of you have all of them. But the presentation cases leaves a lot to be desired LOL 😂
Hiya DA. Thanks for watching and commenting. They have almost the same thickness as circulating AlBr dollar coins, might be the capsules giving the illusion they are thicker. Glad you stopped by buddy. Cheers and happy stacking 😊✌🏻

It would be a nice short series to collect. But shipping costs would make the cost too high for someone not in Australia. Beautiful coins.
