Te Kāhui Mōuri Unveiling Ceremony

Tā i te Kawa, the ceremony to bless and unveil Te Kāhui Mōuri was held on 27 July 2023. These taonga are a physical representation on the Parliament forecourt of the restorative work it is undertaking on Māori-Crown relations.
"Parliament is for everyone, and this kaupapa is a symbol of Parliament's willingness to better reflect the unique cultural makeup of our country by ensuring the whenua supporting Parliament's buildings mirror who we are." Speaker Adrian Rurawhe said.
