    I am happy to come across your video. I have been growing my veggies this way in the Daytona Beach area for 3 years now. I noticed a huge reduction in pests and decease in my veggies, especially tomatoes. For fertilizer I use bone meal and blood meal ( 50/50) and a granular organic vegetable fertilizer. Healthy plants and abundant crops. Peppers do really well too, and so do eggplants. The great advantage of growing veggies in haye is that the soil benefits from haye too. Once the season over, I add a bit of garden or potting soil to the decomposed haye and plant potatoes. A must try for everyone. Thank you again for your video. We subscribed and shared. Bravo. !!!!

    First of all, THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!! I’ve watched a TON of videos on this, and this one by far is my FAVORITE! Question though, what kind of fertilizer did y’all use? I honestly have no idea what I’m doing, and there’s obviously different kinds of fertilizers out there!

      That's awesome! Thank you so much for sharing that with us!
      We made this video a few years ago and still continue to grow all our vegetables this way. The best fertilizer to use is a 100% nitrogen granular fertilizer. It breaks down through the watering easier and starts to decompose the bales faster.
      Good luck and let us know if you have anymore questions 😊

    So, you're using synthetic fertilizer and miracle grow soil, combining them with naturally occurring microbials which break down the hay? How's that work for you? No criticism at all, just curious.

      None taken... its called use what you got to grow food. If you wanna use different products, go right ahead 😎
      The same method will work either way!

    Wonder why you didn't start the seeds in eggshells?

    Hay is not straw, so which did you use?

    • @Beachbilly
      @Beachbilly  ปีที่แล้ว

      We use Hay bales. Straw produces weeds during composition.
