Happy Monday (aka MOONday for those of you watching this video. Haha.) 😊 Fall asleep and get rid of Monday blues by listening to whispers of random facts about our Moon. Yes I took that picture behind me! I used to be an astronomy lab assistant so I got to play with the telescopes a lot! This video involves whispers, tapping, scratching, and some visuals including the back drop, some hand movements, and some moon movements haha. Also don’t judge me for the weird green screen moments I’ll get better Lol
Hey, at least you can actually work a green screen. I absolutely loved this video, especially because i love astronomy I’d love to see more videos like this on varying space bodies
Fun fact: the moons diameter is 1/400th that of the sun but it is also 1/400th the distance away from earth than the sun, that is why they look the same size in the sky and why we have eclipses. This is a property not shared by any other moon and planet in the solar system 😉
Quantum if you like this for a third time I apologize 😂😅 your heart goes away every time I edit the comment, but I think I’m done now and everything is fixed
This was an amazing atmosphere, Caroline. It is just great to learn new things while getting relaxed like this. Please consider making a similar video about the earth and the science behind day and night, winter and summer etc.
Thank you! Such a nice video. I've always loved the whimsical names given to the lunar maria - they sound so evocative when you translate them back to English. The Sea of Tranquility....the Bay of Rainbows......the Sea of Serpents...the Lake of Solitude...etc. Like something out of a fairy story 😊
Moon scratching is my new favourite trigger! Would be a bit random but if you made more fact videos while scratching the moon that would be amazing haha

Great image of the Moon and interesting information, this topic and the cosmos in general always intrigues me! I'm glad we're going back to the Moon. Space is our destiny, and finally, private industry is on board. We live in amazing time!
That’s unusual, well done! It’s so pleasant to watch you and listen to what you say. You’re gorgeous and judging from the fact that you were an assistant at astronomy lab, you’re really smart. A dream girl 😻
She was suppose to raise our iq not raise our wood the hell man you ruined it well not just you but, hahaha i cant but you keep that to the weird side of the asmr.
The craziest moon fact I know is the combined diameters of every planet in our solar system add up to EXACTLY the distance between earth and it's moon. Not sure if this during apogee or perigee but still amazing!
Love the video by the way I Really Love Astronomy it's one of My Top Favorates subjects I took that class More then 10 to 20 times in my school days simply because I Really Enjoy the subject to vary much !!!
Ik this comments a lil late but u should def do a video on the apollo missions or at least apollo 11. Maybe it could be like a series where you talk about all the missions throughout the space race.
I can't wait for more LaGrange point observatories in space. LISA seems especially exciting. Maybe we can create gigantic synthetic aperture in space. I wish my car did 4 km/s with instant acceleration and some internal inertial cancelling technology.
The funny thing is, I was just thinking about when you would upload your next video - I half-expected you to post something tonight. So then I clicked on my TH-cam app, and looked what showed up at the top of my feed! 😁
Hey Quantum! I just want to give you a bit of advice on using green screen, I really loved the editing but if you go a bit further from the green screen, the glitchy shadows from you would disappear and would make the video look much smoother!
I love the perspective of the corkscrew of orbital patterns with the planets trailing the sun slightly behind how they all orbit Sag A generated by Sandbox Universe 2 (available on Steam if anyone's wondering, BOINC is free online for support of improved modeling and mapping of the Universe using distributed research so your computer can help science worldwide while you aren't causing chaos with gta5 or Cyberpunk). The perspective on the orbital patterns if you rotate it to look head on look sort of like an oncoming transverse wave or the rendition of phi like the Debian Linux distro uses if you pause it set up your perspective to see it approach head on then continue running it.
Even tho i knew most of these (i studied astronomy during my childhood), i absolutely loved this video. That really is a beautiful sight of the moon... and your beautiful face lol Also, with what i believe was your 2nd or 3rd fact, the moon orbits at the same rate it rotates, there is an actual term for that, called a tidal lock
fun fact moon is actually not made out of cheese but solid milk. Since it is very cold in space, the milk substance freezes and makes a little ball. Meaning that at some point something or someone had to have dropped its milk and that’s what made the moon
I work on getting us to the moon while awake and now I'm learning about the moon while falling asleep... I'm starting to feel like the moon is stalking me, yanno?
i saw an interview with one of the apollo astronauts and i remember him saying that when they landed, the moon itself rung like a bell when they landed. my only problem with that is theres no atmosphere on the moon, so theres shouldnt be ANY sound at all made by it.

Interestingly enough - most reports widely spread around 2019: The Earth's atmosphere extends to-and-far-beyond the moon. If that's the case, then it would definitely explain 'sound' being able to be heard on the moon.. Long ago, a video surfaced that showed the astronauts up there hammering a post into the ground.. Fun Fact 11: The moon is as far away from the earth as I am from a normal social life.

What’s funny is apparently you can fit every planet in a straight line between the earth and Luna
