You seem like you are very good at childcare, but if you feel like it’s time for a change then trust yourself. Try to be excited for a new opportunity. My heart hurts for you because I know your pain. It is so hard to be in a position where you are responsible for so many people, especially tiny people. It’s a lot of pressure. Hi, I drove school bus for almost 13 years, I tried to quit several times and I finally did over a year ago... Hardest thing I ever have done bc I live alone as well with my two cats ... That was my Interactions and knowing families and kids of people I went to school with etc etc etc, I totally understand exactly how you feel. It's the hardest thing, but honestly after you heal for a bit you will feel better ❤ -Chad(btw, the reason I quit was different my income was horrible for living alone, having summers off etc) 😢

Take your life day by day. If you want to go back to teaching 6 months down the road, or if you want to do something else - you can! Dang , we have so much in common! I just went through this earlier this year. I worked in childcare for years in a school age room and sometimes the Pre-K room as well, but my heart wasn’t in it anymore and let’s be real…the pay sucks . It was a bit sad leaving, but year after year the behavior in the classroom got worse which made my decision to leave easier for me. A lot of my coworkers were “cliquey, ” so that was another reason it wasn’t hard for me to leave . There were a few kids I miss, but I think working with kids is something you have to be full heartedly all in and I know that isn’t where I’m at anymore. But, good luck on your next chapter, I look forward to watching all your future vlogs .

We get comfortable with a normal route and are afraid of change. I was told years ago by my middle school teacher "Get comfortable being uncomfortable". I never understood it unit this past year. 2023 really threw a lot at me but that saying really helped me get through it! I hope it could help you as well. Never stop being YOU! I left childcare after 7 years… a week before Christmas break. We get burnt out after awhile. It’s one of the hardest jobs. I’ve gotten to a point where it was such a rough day that I had to walk out and cry. I’m proud of you. I start my new job on the 11th. I’ll be entering a world of nursing. I’m so excited. We got this. We can do this.

I was in childcare for 7 years and it just takes so much out of you. Bad days are really bad and you end up taking it out on the kids. Some days i loved it so much and it was my favorite place in the world other days i was so unbelievably stressed out that i would just yell all day. Here i am 2 years after leaving, in a completely different job and so happy i left. I loved the kids but you have to put yourself first, its not for everyone. Im 100% following your journey from here forward as i know you will do fantastic things! I love all your content michael, keep being you.💓

From one childcare worker to another… those little people are just the best, they will never forget you and the amazing input you had into their little lives. Even from 2011 when I started in childcare, I still remember those memorable little faces and the joy they brought me daily! I’m now a student midwife, but I will always love my many years as a nursery nurse! (I’m in the UK) Love to you Michael! Dang , we have so much in common! I just went through this earlier this year. I worked in childcare for years in a school age room and sometimes the Pre-K room as well, but my heart wasn’t in it anymore and let’s be real…the pay sucks . It was a bit sad leaving, but year after year the behavior in the classroom got worse which made my decision to leave easier for me. A lot of my coworkers were “cliquey, ” so that was another reason it wasn’t hard for me to leave . There were a few kids I miss, but I think working with kids is something you have to be full heartedly all in and I know that isn’t where I’m at anymore. But, good luck on your next chapter, I look forward to watching all your future vlogs .

Michael, I am also going through changes with my career.. I know the feeling!! I am incredible proud of you! This is a big change for you and your future! We get comfortable with a normal route and are afraid of change. I was told years ago by my middle school teacher "Get comfortable being uncomfortable". I never understood it unit this past year. 2023 really threw a lot at me but that saying really helped me get through it! I hope it could help you as well. Never stop being YOU! You give me so much motivation and courage. I first found you on Facebook reels and had to immediately find you on all social media. I too understand the feeling of being around certain people. I'm from the coast and have been publicly harassed for who I am. Especially in my career field, I've had few unpleasant encounters. I left childcare after 7 years… a week before Christmas break. We get burnt out after awhile. It’s one of the hardest jobs. I’ve gotten to a point where it was such a rough day that I had to walk out and cry. I’m proud of you. I start my new job on the 11th. I’ll be entering a world of nursing. I’m so excited. We got this. We can do this.

I was in childcare for 7 years and it just takes so much out of you. Bad days are really bad and you end up taking it out on the kids. Some days i loved it so much and it was my favorite place in the world other days i was so unbelievably stressed out that i would just yell all day. Here i am 2 years after leaving, in a completely different job and so happy i left. I loved the kids but you have to put yourself first, its not for everyone. Im 100% following your journey from here forward as i know you will do fantastic things! I love all your content michael, keep being you.💓

I was laid off from teaching in 2018 and since then I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing/supposed to do. I’m 32 now and don’t feel like it’s any clearer. If you’re worried about having less interaction now that you’re not a teacher you can always get a part time job at the mall or something. Would help you meet some new people too
From one childcare worker to another… those little people are just the best, they will never forget you and the amazing input you had into their little lives. Even from 2011 when I started in childcare, I still remember those memorable little faces and the joy they brought me daily! I’m now a student midwife, but I will always love my many years as a nursery nurse! (I’m in the UK)
