- Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we are doing the Workshop Olympics! There will be 3 different events: The Boat Race, The Ski Jump, and The Rock Climb. For each event, each player will have to search the workshop and find a creation they think can win it. The catch is, you can't actually test out the creation before you choose it, so you must pick just based on the workshop picture and information!

Great format. Imagine if you had to pick one vehicle for all three events, but you have 3 minutes modification time before each one
I was thinking something similar, but with points. So first place would be worth 30 points instead of 3, but each modification would be -1 point off the final score.

Or they could have a choice, they can only modify for the vehicle of one round, they have to strategically choose which one they need to modify.
This is something similar to some multiplayer Mondays they have done a long time ago

So basically Scrapmans a triangle as he loves wedges, Moonbo is circle as per his moon sign, and kan is square or rectangle cz of his brick nature, those are their olympic flag designs.

@@OmkarG88 Then let's go with Kan's designs. He's most famous for his "brick" design which means that most of the vehicles he's made in the past MM games were bricks with tank steering.
I loved the workshop search rather than build. It is always awesome to showcase community builders. I'd love to see more challenges with that twist.
Seeing how difficult the wall climb challenge was, it would be great to see another attempt with vehicles that you've built and see if you can do any better than the community offerings you used here.
This is the closest we might get to workshop hunters again, cherish this series 🗿

The cliff was an interesting take on wall climbing, since it's normally done on a flat surface and the uneven terrain adds a lot of depth to the challenge. I'd definitely be interested in seeing more challenges based on climbing up cliffs, possibly on custom maps with multiple courses.

Oh hey, you picked my speed boat, I designed it to be as buoyant and thrust filled as possible.
Edit: The reason it has a Switch for the thrust was because it was easier to link up thrusters to a logic block and connect it to a switch rather than hooking every thruster into the seat.
Couldn't you have used a button in place of the switch, so that he didn't have to press again to deactivate at least?

@ScrapMan I don't see a problem with doing old events tbh. New creations everyday you have tons of possibilities! So long as the same creations arent used twice you should be good.

Workshop hunters is always a pleasure. Sifting through the vast library of the workshop always yields entertaining content.
Ideas for future events:
- Competitive Tag (running away from tagger, jumping over tagger, etc. No boosters. Check out competitive tag rules for ideas of restrictions and rules. some sort of obstacles in an arena might be required. but obviously not the same level of obstacles in real CT.)
- Sumo Wrestling
- Winter Biathlon (moving, shooting targets)
- Goal-tending (like hockey, where someone tries to shoot in a "net" behind you, and you have to stop them (size restriction of vehicle so they can't block the entire net without moving, or make the net size a function of the size of the vehicle x2 length, x2 width, for example... therefore making selecting small crafts a viable option... the "puck" can be a ball thrown from a launcher or something. Not spuds, they too fast.)
- Anti-Aircraft shooting down fliers
- Do something with the portal gun, or weapon mods you found (the lock on junk launcher, sniper rifle, grapple hook, etc.)
- Super heavy vehicles, underwater race (I know it's been done, but not with Workshop Hunter)

seeing a lot more classic multiplayer mondays and I am HERE for it
I actually used pistons as decoration pieces on my pretty crap first vehicle, and after modifying it a bit, I improved the steering, added good stabilization, and added wheels onto the end of the pistons so I can extend them for added support. It also drives just as well upside down because of the way the wheels are oriented. Was definitely fun to get into this game
Some event suggustions: Dragster without thrusters, survival either tree or rock vehicle miner. and don't know if this counts but maybe just searching for best logic creation?
This just makes me want workshop hunters back
Other olympic events: disc throwing, hurdle run, spear throwing, fencing, clay pigeons shooting, triathlon, super g (so basically zeepkist without wheels), reck gymnastics, ring gymnastics, Diving jumps (air control without thrusters), pole vault, weight lifting

There's this new thing on workshop called "Illusory Wall / Secret Door" . It triggers a wall to get opened if you push on the wall with your character or something, so cool!
The video was great definitely need more of this in the future!

love these olympics videos thanks for posting also would love to see another round of wall climbers for that rockface since nobody found a very good rock climber for it
I would like to see you guys do a build challenge race on that cliff rock crawl.
I think you need to consider Olympic events like the javelin throw, weight lifting, clay target shooting etc.
Javelin is obvious.
Weight lifting, build a bar with square ends you can drive under, you need to lift say 2 blocks clear of the ground and remain stationary for 5 seconds for the lift to count.
Add layers of "weights" to both ends and score based on how many layers are lifted.
Clay target shooting, fixed or mobile turret, but must shoot from the same fixed location.
A large square frame will connect the shooters box (a short distance inside one of the edges, centred) with four woc launchers in the corners.
All launchers will be aimed to land in the centre of the frame. So two will launch from behind you and two will launch towards you.
Shooting order will be front left, back left, front right, back right.
New woc is launched when the current woc is shot in the air (and scores 1 point) or hits the ground (scores a miss).
Most wocs shot (whilst in the air) in the set time wins.
And go...
Video idea: There are builds on workshop that pop up after Monday challenges. Pick some to showcase. For example after this video there are a few Wall Climbing builds that say they were inspired by this vid. Would really like to see you try those things people come up with.
Memory challenge: each player gives a challenge to the other two, which they can only complete using a vehicle they built for a previous multiplayer Monday

For the next one you could try battling with spuds or tanks, have some type of aerial race, and maybe a beyblade event. Hope you get well soon!

Challenge idea: A Survival playthrough where you can`t use any seats (exept for toilet drops of couse) so you have to use buttons for everything.

so one event idea if you haven't done it yet is a slingshot event where you try to fling either a seat or a tree as far as you can or as high as you can, though if you've already done that, what about an upside down event where you're driving across a ceiling rather than the ground and you can even make a obstacle course style for it

You should redo some of the old multi-player Monday challenges but this time, no draggable blocks! It would be a great way to challenge you to build creatively. 😉

You should do a mega olympics event with as many players as possible in a bunch of events. Land race, land race hurdles, water race, battle water race, air race air ďueling battle, long and high jump. Bot battling time trials, small scale escape room trials. Make it a multiple days thing

I have an idea for a new challenge. Airboat challenge, all contenders must build a suitable airboat with no thrusters, just a propeller and an engine, now the engine can be gas or electric but it has to be able to turn the propeller. The think about airboats is that they can go on land and water so you can have a course mapped out to where you go on land and water. Also need a cage around the propeller just like on a real airboat.
What would be good is if each of you made a few vehicles and you choose what one out of all of them to use(can't use your own creation) but some of them maybe flawed
you should do one where everyone needs to search for a creation that has one of your three names in the name

I would love to see curling via either ice or bubble blocks on water. Or like, submarine whale-jumping high jumps.
Look at "Hex Wall Climber - Fast and Controlled" on workshop, you can even climb trees!

If the result in the jump had been the average of the two distances, Scrapman would have lost as in his second jump only the car went and he stayed on the ramp ;)
i have a distinct fear of heights in videogames. since i usually jump out of buildings in fps games. i dont look down and i dont realist im ded until i am. so when scrapman jumped off that cliff after his rock climb.... my heart sank
