Dapat nga mas maging masaya yung mga girls na nabigyan ng medyo mahirap at unusual na tanong kasi it is the perfect time and question for them to prove everyone na no matter how hard the question is, they can still answer and give a response na hindi natin naririnig lagi sa mga Q&A. Just like what Kylie said, mag isip nalang talaga ng palusot.
I think, kaya unfair kasi may mga easy questions at difficult ones. Sana, kung puro current events, e di lahat ay current events. Kung about advocacies, then dapat lahat. I think that's what kylie is trying to convey.
I do think the questions for the candidates are fair. The difference is the readiness of each candidate for a particular question which may be easy or hard for them. But I do agree that the level of questions for this year definitely is more difficult, it simply means change has already arrived and should not stick to generic questions in the past rather learn from them and study even harder.
b cabañez my take on this is there should be uniformity on questions, like in Miss Universe. But I must agree with u w/ the readiness of the candidates.
yah because as what the candidate who answered on the build3x program, she admitted she was not prepared to answer it thus, the question was extremely tough for her. The diversity of the questions is also very good, not limited to one question with several ideas. It goes to show that the pageant here in our country has leveled up.

No. The meaning of being a beauty queen isn't just about answering questions regardless of difficulty. It is about being able to face anything literally any challenge or question that comes your way. So kapag lahat ng tanong current events edi may idea na ang other girls sa susunod na mga tanong and wala ng thrill and challenge para sa girls at napaka boring na panoorin. That is not the purpose of beauty pageant. Dapat laging kang handa kung ano mang pagsubok ibigay sayo. Kahit na anong tanong payan hindi naman yan patalinuhan, ang purpose nyan eh alamin ng mga judges at tao na kaya mong ipakita sa mundo na kaya mong sagutin kahit anong tanong pa ang ibigay sayo. At lagi kang handa kasi nga you are aspiring to be a queen, an empowered woman ika nga.
She has a point. Look at the questions about the Build Program (current events) vs When to Listen and When to Speak (philosophical). Each questions asks for a different task: know current events or give an opinion.

Sa pageant swerte2x din talaga kung anong question ang mapupunta sayo. Remember Pia Wurtzbach nung BBP 2014. She was about to win a crown before dumating yung QandA. She answered well but because she needs to answer it in tagalog hindi naintindihan ng foreign judges yung maganda nyang sagot. Ang ending, wala syang nakuha na crown.

No matter what question will pitch in or how hard the level of the question was. It will boils down to your own creativity of answering it sounding regal. Not just readiness you should equip yourself by updating about the current news and events.

Not really unfair. that's Bb. Pilipinas, eyeing for a crown and for Ms. Universe. that means every candidate must know all about Phils. - past, current issues, developments, and all, as you are going to represent the country.
There's nothing wrong namn din with Sandra's answer she's just being honest, better not to answer if ever hindi mo talaga alam yung tanong, or kung alanganin ka sa idea mo and what Sandra did is a classy response, and she handled it very well, sabi nga ni Pia nung time na yun "it's better than lying" kesa nman kuda ka ng kuda as if alam mo yung tanong tapos ang ending napaka layo ng sagot mo sa tanong..... At yung style nmn din ni Kylie if ever sa kanya itinanong yun,, well good for her kasi may naiisip sya. Hindi nman lahat pareho ng isip eh.
No question is hard enough as long as you are updated. As a contender in this kind of pageant, beauty is not enough to win. Whether someone tells you to study or not, it is your responsibility to know our countries status of economy, politics, livelihood, and news. Im not saying we should be aware of them all and be perfect but atleast we do our assignment to research everything if we want to win this Pageant Title. As they say, " no one is ignorant of the law".

That question very well you have the chance to win it, because it is one of difficult questions, and it is a current event .. it is like a licensure examination if you have review well you're gonna be on top.. when you say build it doesn't matter if you don't know the program you should have your own wide range of knowledge relating w/ the word build it is better than nothing..
A question like that should only be asked in a pageant like Miss Earth Philippines wherein awareness of the current events of the country is an ABSOLUTE MUST. How is it fair when one girl is asked about a "Build Build Build" program that not even half of the people in this country know about because the campaigning for this said program is not evident whatsoever then the next few girls are asked questions like "How should a beauty queen react to ruthless criticism?" Kylie's right. All the questions should be fair and equal for all of the girls to avoid wasted efforts and opportunities
Panong d naging patas? Pag contestant ka ng beauty pageant, dapat prepared ka sa mga itatanong sa yo. Dun makikita ang talino ng isang kandidata. 2 bagay lang yan: Either me talino ka or wala. Ang beauty, given na yun pero ang talino, dun nga makikita sa question and answer portion. Yun ang decision point kung mananalo o hindi ang kndidata.

Sa tingin ko dapat maging 2 rounds ang QnA .first round is yung pang top 15.iba iba dapat ang tanong sa first round.then from 15 magiging 8.sa second round na tanong dapat same nalang ng question kasi dito na ibebase kung ano ang makukuha nila na crowns.kasama na sa top 8 yung 1st and 2nd runner up.sa ganitong way natin masasala kung sino talaga ang mabilis mag isip

I dont believe that. In every pageants QnA, your answer will always be in a form of opinion. there is no right or wrong. What the judges want to see and hear is how the contestant stay relaxed, composed, and how well he/she can express his/her opinion, the use of words and how they can be convinced with the answer. If you dont have any idea about the question, as what Kylie said, you can use context clues, such as build build build and construct a convincing statement on it.. Thumbs up for her honesty though.
Actually the Q and A that night is soooo easy, only if they are wide readers and have strong opinion on all of its issues going on. Well its just my opinion. They need to expect more from the international pageants and be prepared for that if they really want to win.

I wouldn’t crown someone who doesn’t know current events, or who doesn’t know how to pick up context clues. part of being a queen is finding out a way to answer hard questions with creativity and mental quickness. Lemonon did not have that. Honesty, in this situation, is not enough sometimes. It’s a beauty pageant, it’s not an elementary best in conduct homeroom ceremony.

I think dapat yung tanong is hindi dapat sa mga programs ng current administration. Dapat na itanong is yung mga current issues dito sa bansa natin. Kasi maraming programs ang administration kaya yung iba nilang gunagawa ay hindi naibabalita ng media.

Sa akin lang, the way I see it, yung bb. Pilipinas na pageant parang wala sayang structure na Q&A at di sya baka pattern Sa advocacies ng BPCI. Kaya di uniform yung mga binibigay na questions. Kaya di mo masisisi nga kandidata na di nila masagot ng maayos nga katanungan. Sana meron silang format ng Q&A tulad ng Miss Earth na trademark nila yung nga environmental advocacies na nga questions. So yeah may point din si Kylie. Di naman patalinuhan yung pageant, its more on representing the brand ni Miss Stella.

Hindi mo rin masasabing mahirap mga tanong kasi sumali ka nga sa pageant dapat prepare ka ano mang tanong kahiy iba ibang tanong dyan makikita yung inteligence at kakayahan sa lahat ng tanong ibabato yan pagdadaanan muna what for pa sa competion na susuungin mo sa ibang bansa.nagkataon lang sa mga tanong hindi naging aware na maaring ibato sayo hindi mo nga masasabi ang mangyayari sa ibang lugar pag lumaban.kaya kung hindi patas hindi kasalanan ng organizer kasalanan mo kasi hindi mo pinaghandaan ang mga ganung bagay na maaring tanong sayo napapanahon na ngayon ang tanong ng mga judges yun lang hindi mo kayang sagutin.

Well definitely if you are going to join a big pageant like the BBP you really have to be prepared and you just have to watch the news and read the daily newspaper. And bear in mind that the questions are quite vast so expect the unexpected quetions. Anyway all the ladies did a good job and they can join as long as they want follow the footsteps of PW.

Hindi pwedeng same question, kasi hindi lahat ng tao pareparehas, yung madali para sa iyo eh hindi madali para sa iba. Isa pa hindi pa d2 nagtatapos ang pag represent nila sa bansa. Paano kung manalo sila and doon sa ibang bansa eh magtanong ng mahirap na tanong? Anong isasagot ng isang beauty queen na pampaered sa Q and A sa pinas? Dapat mahirap o madali ang tanong dapat alam nila ang isasagot just in case hindi nila gamay ang tinatanong, may training yan naman kasi. Isa pa hindi patas ang mundo, learn to accept it at ang importante may gawin kang solusyon, hindi yung puro reklamo..

I know it's been too long but as I heard kasi sa interview Kay Karen galman Ang Sabi daw sakanya Ni Sandra Ang pag kakarinig daw nya sa tanong is "bill bill" and not "build build" it's funny but sad at the same time.
Yung question kase kay lemonon something very objective na kailangan ng fact and exact answer unlike sa iba na kailangan mong maging subjective or mag opinion!
I personally think the question that was asked to the candidate showed how oblivious some Filipinos are regarding our current administration, considering that most of us are being brainwashed by the media who are apparently against the administration. It's so sad to think that we keep on letting the media blinker us from seeing what are more important for us to look at than pointing out the wrongdoings of the administration. I am not entirely tolerating the negativity but from what I see, some are too assertive and feisty when it comes to their grievances and arguments without acknowledging the other part.
I think fair naman ang mga tanong sa QA...kapag sumali Ka sa mga ganitong pageant dapat well-informed Ka sa mga current events issues sa loob at labas ng bansa....ang nagiging problem lang ngayon nasisikil ang freedom of expression, dahil sa dami ng mga bashers ngayon natatakot na tayong magkipagpalitan ng kuro-kuro...ang ending play safe Ka nalang sa sarili mong opinion para Hindi Ka mabash....that's what lemonon did, pretend nalang na di niya alam yung info...hehehehe
As a beauty pageant candidates you should be awair and updated your self in current event in your country. Just like the preparation of rachel peters in MU in Vegas she keep her self updated by reading news paper and watching news on TV suddenly she did not make it in Q.A round. Actually Sandra Lemon can answer the question because she already had the clue on the question which is the word GOVERNTMENT AND Build build Build so it means it pertains to the infrastructure projects of our government. SO maybe she could gave her opinion on how these government infrastructure projects could help and change the lives of Filipino people.

blame the media mga bias yung pinagrereport at walang katuturan. Kung yung progress sana ng pilipinas ang pinapalabas gaya ng infrastractures, investments, job openings, update sa budget allocations, etc. edi mas marami ka pang natututunan. Binibinis did not expect that they're going to get questions ala Miss Earth Philippines. Miss Earth kasi has difficult questions compared to that of Binibining Pilipinas and Miss World Philippines.

1:16 kaya natalo si Lemonon not because she didn’t answer the question properly. It’s because she lacked the mental quickness and creativity to figure out a way to get herself out of a hard situation. You don’t have to sometimes answer pageant questions directly. But you can use context clues as what Kylie said. Connect it to the economy and country and people. And you’ll be able to weave in an idea even if it doesn’t directly answer the question.
she is brave to voice out her opinion. although she won the MI, i still believe that she got robbed of the MU title. sorry Maxine, Kylie deserves the crown more than you. the organisers are wise to put her to MI because they worried if she win in her own country people will starts to ask the reliability of the MU Pageant. regardless, i still feel Kylie should have represented PH in MU 2016 held in Philippines.
Paano nasabing hindi patas? If you’re gonna represent Philippines in an international pageant, you should atleast know what’s happening in your country by heart, not just by studying about it for the sake of the Q&A portion. It’s a current event that even us, OFWs living abroad, are well aware of. And not knowing what “Build, Build, Build” program is only shows that you only focused more on winning the pageant and having a title rather than having an initiative on knowing what’s really going on in our country.
