This is a tant er dhuti and available in many saree shops. If you're in Kolkata try the old saree shops of Gariahat. Hope this helps

How to maintain the pleats after washing

Traditional laundry / dhobi of Bengal know how the make these pleats. They keep them tied with a string. Unless I am sending worn dhoti for washing, I tie the pleats too after every wear. If you do not have access to these laundries you an pleat yourself but first make sure that the fabric is heavily starched after wash. Hope this helps.

Where I always fail is the wrap back. I cannot reuse the worn dhuti. It goes for pleating after single use. Hope next time your video would help.

Next time try to use a safety pin on the pleated folds before wearing. That will prevent them from unfolding later 🙂
