Thanks for reacting to this... most people miss reacting to this particular live performance by ACDC, and yet it is one of their best ever filmed. This is truly ACDC at their best and one of their last shows with Bon Scott. "Sin City" is one of their most under rated songs, it is better in concert than on the album... but it is an important step in the direction the band was headed.
This is when AC/DC were the best rock and roll band on the planet. "Sin City" is one of their blues rock tracks, off what many punters believe is their greatest album, *Powerage.* For me, watching Bon at the height of his powers always makes me feel melancholic, and nostalgic. I was born in Perth, WA, Bon's home town (he was born in Scotland, but moved to Melbourne when he was six and Perth when he was 10). For working class Aussies, AC/DC was our band, and Bon was our voice. I know the lads went on to conquer the world, but it is here, in this performance, that I see the band I loved so much. Vale, Bon. You are still deeply, deeply missed. 🤘🤘
This was from my first AC/DC album: Powerage!! Bon Scott had so much charisma!! The band rocked harder in his years, and of course were a lot younger! Bon's tragic death came a short time after this performance. Oh yes...great reaction ladies and welcome back Lulu!!
The Amps & Cabs are in Cages that I built for AC/DC. There was a walkway on top for Angus to run and jump from! Great to see it in action. 2nd generation had lights fitted in for the Back in Black tour
Sadly, this show in late 1979 in Paris, France was one of the last performances of Bon Scott (vocals) w/ AC/DC... He died unexpectedly in February 1980... From what I heard, this AC/DC show on the 'Highway to Hell' tour was filmed for a local release only. However, after the death of Bon Scott, the filmmakers sold the footage for an international release as the concert movie 'Let there be rock: the movie'... AC/DC did not put any overdubs or studio work into the live audio (which was stellar, even w/ the odd glitches) Before YT, this concert movie was the only way AC/DC fans could see Bon Scott perform w/ the band in the 80's. It wasn't until 1997 that AC/DC felt comfortable releasing the legacy of Bon Scott w/ the band w/ the boxed set 'Bon fire'... From what I gather, it was painful for the band members when he died and worse when the news media gave him a 'bad obituary'... But Bon Scott was a truly remarkable character who re-shaped AC/DC's sound when he joined in 1974 and took them to the brink of stardom in 1979... AC/DC broke big in 1980 w/ singer Brian Johnson... but it was Bon Scott who got them there. Many older AC/DC fans still mourn his death.
Welcome back Lulu. You made a great selection today. My favourite AC/DC album Powerage is were this track originated from. This album also contains Gone Shooting, Kicked In The Teeth Again, Riff Raff and much more. You ladies rock❤❤❤👍👍🤘🤘
So good to see Lulu back. I love how her eyes light up when you ladies review those oldies but goodie’s music that I grew up listening too . Keep it coming, love it!!👍💯🔥❤️🙏
Hey Hey it's jessejames truly loved your reaction too my favorite band fall in love from the first guitar chord I heard and I dress up as Angus young for Halloween from 1984 an still to the day. Thank you 3gen
Shirtless Rob Halford in spandex and suspenders and now a shirtless Bon Scott in holey jeans... All within a day of each other!!!😮 Joking aside, AC/DC with the late Bon Scott was really something! This live performance proves it once again... I could never get used to Brian Johnson's voice or stage presence. Bon was the real deal⭐
Classic AC/DC, and you are all loving Bon! Thanks for the reaction, I now know not to just love the music, but what the band wears and their long hair ...lol.
Great reaction ladies loved it 👍 I would suggest any other song from this concert in Paris or AC/DC live in Glasgow 1978. Any song would be great as you will be on a winner hands down as you have just seen🤣
Since you’re enjoying the AC/DC clips, check out a tribute band called Back in Black (based out of Dallas); full AC/DC show, and the lead singer was auditioned by the real band in 2016 (before the European tour that they did w/ Axl Rose)
Radio Birdman “Descent into the Maelstrom”. Midnight Oil “ Beds are Burning” and “Short Memory”. The Angels “Take a Long Line” and “Marseilles”. Hunters and Collectors “Holy Grail” and “Do You See What I See?”. Black Sorrows “Chained to the Wheel” and “Never Let Me Go” Linda and Vika Bull are great singers - Maori. Hoodoo Gurus “ Bittersweet”. A more modern one (Lulu will love the hair!) is The Lazys “Nothing but trouble. If you like these there are plenty more. Either google Australian Pub Rock or give me a yell and I’ll send you more. Cheers Steve
I think (if I remember correctly) that Bon's pants started with a little tear, then got so big that they duct taped it to hold it together. It's in the movie Let There Be Rock. I saw AC/DC in Corpus Christi in September or October of 79. Molly Hatchet was the opening band. Bon died a few days before my 15th birthday.
Hi ladies. You’re great - love the 3 generation concept and your beautiful southern accents (not sure which state). Your reactions are honest and enthusiastic too and, judging by them I think you might like some good old(70’s and 80’s) Aussie pub rock. I’ll send you a list of bands and songs in my next comment. If you choose to listen I think you’ll like them.
AC/DC (Australia) Line-Up ("Powerage" album 1978) Bon Scott: Vocals Angus Young: Lead Guitars Malcolm Young: Rhythm Guitars, Backing Vocals Cliff Williams: Bass Phil Rudd: Drums "Powerage" is their fifth studio album released on 5 May 1978 in the United Kingdom and 20 May 1978 in the United States. This was the band's first album to feature Cliff Williams on bass guitar, and it was also the first AC/DC album not to have a title track (aside from the Australia-only "High Voltage" album) and the first worldwide not to be released with a different album cover. "Sin City"explores the seductive charms and dangers of Las Vegas. While initial sales were somewhat disappointing, "Powerage" surpassed its predecessor, "Let There Be Rock", by reaching No. 133 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart in the US, eventually achieving platinum certification. In 2005, "Powerage" was ranked number 325 in Rock Hard magazine's book The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time. Kerrang! magazine listed the album at No. 26 among the "100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time" Original European LP release All tracks are written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Bon Scott Side one 1. "Rock 'n' Roll Damnation" 2. "Gimme a Bullet" 3. "Down Payment Blues" 4. "Gone Shootin'" 5. "Riff Raff" Side two 6. "Sin City" 7. "Up to My Neck in You" 8. "What's Next to the Moon" 9. "Cold Hearted Man 10. "Kicked in the Teeth" Cheers from CHILE dear ladies!!!
Actually, I’ve been watching another live performance version a lot lately of this song from a few years earlier. Angus does strip teases on stage on stage to eventually be shirtless. I remember seeing them 3 times in the 80’s. Once with DIO. Enjoying your channel a lot lately.
I believe Ladders and Snakes is a board game that the US may know as Chutes and Ladders. "ladders give" you move up and "snakes take" you fall back in the game. eluding IMO that in the song you pay for all your greed and excess. And Bon accepts it.
Exactly! Ladders and Snakes is the British version of Chutes and Ladders. Also, when Bon sings "Cut that pack," Americans would say "cut that deck." Similarly, Bon sings about "The Jack" in another popular AC/DC track whereas Americans are more familiar with the term "the clap."
The singer Bon Scott was leaving us way too early at the age of 33 in 1980, he actually drank him self to dea*h. AC/DC is a really good band and they are still going, even though most of the band is new members nowadays. But man.. back in those days, Angus really kept going on the stage doing crazy stuff like jumping around and swinging that guitar like Leatherface are swinging that chainsaw at the very end of the 1974 Texas Chainsaw massacre.. thanks for the the video, and I really like Lulu´s beltbuckles, I noticed she has quite a few of them.. :D
Paris - one of the greatest concerts, with Bon at his best. And Sin City was a BIG hit. Not as big as Highway to hell or TNT, but it WAS and is one of the best songs, just like She got balls, ride on (that is AC/DCs best song! Bon in a "mood"), the Jack - nobody sings so good about a STD :D, crabsody in blue (another great STD-song) or whole lotta rosie - a song about that tasmanian chick that nailed 20 guys in that month and "destroyed" Bon so badly he wrote that lyrics....
Bon Scott at his best! As well as Angus. The whole band was as tight as ever! I miss the old songs with Bon Scott! Taking nothing away from Brian Johnson. Brian brought the band into the 21st century and is great too. This was awesome!!!
Yeah, it sucks. I remember the news of his death very well at the time. I didn't feel like listening to AC/DC after that, but I did give Brian Johnson a chance, but musically it's become heavier, more serious and less carefree, and I find Johnson's vocals forced. Back in Black must not have played on my turntable more than a dozen times. I sold the album shortly afterwards. In my opinion, AC/DC without Bon Scott was no longer AC/DC.
AC/DC at the absolute top of their game and one of their best songs. For some reason you rarely see a reactor channel doing anything from Powerage, which is easily their best album. Brian Johnson was basically an Andy Capp cartoon character but Bon was the real deal, a genuine dangerous man and a hugely talented songwriter and frontman. To this day about 90% of their live set is composed of songs from before 1979, and it's pretty much confirmed these days that Bon wrote Back in Black before he died as well. You might wanna try Riff Raff next. Donna's remembering back when she was a sweet young thing in '79 and wishing she was in Paris with the band lol
The Paris show is one of the greatest concerts recorded on video. The band at their absolute peak.
Yep!👍 To think that this show was filmed in December 1979 and that Bon died two months later! (February 1980). How sad!😥
Absolutly!!
Spot on more reactions should be took from
This gig ❤️🏴
It's a great show, it's just a shame the lighting is so bad.

Nice to see you Lulu ! You were missed !
Oh thank you!
@@KathyLuluandDonna You should show her the Motley Crue Wild Side video, since she missed it.

Kathy, Lulu, and Donna are total girlbosses! You rock! 👌😍
I'm 58. I grew up with this band among many others. This is one of their best tunes!
I remember Angus Young mooning us eventually during 80’s concerts. I wish I could have seen Bon but my parents wouldn’t let me go.
There was so much blues in the older songs like this, hear the bassline and the call and response part. And Bon, you were missed!
So this is from the documentary Let There Be Rock, I highly recommend the whole video. This is 1980, top of their game! RIP Bon and Malcolm
This song , he's singing about Las Vegas. Listen to the lyrics 🎸. Las Vegas is known as SIN CITY
Bon sounds amazing! Wish I could have seen him.
I was a blessed to see the band in the late 80’s, and Angus was a show stopper.
The Amps & Cabs are in Cages that I built for AC/DC. There was a walkway on top for Angus to run and jump from!
Great to see it in action. 2nd generation had lights fitted in for the Back in Black tour
For those about to rock AC/DC is one of the all time greats... Hi Lulu. You have been missing some good ones. Can't wait to see that project of yours.
😂😂 I've noticed that Kathy, and Donna seem too really enjoy all the videos where the band is shirtless. 😂😂 I love it
😁
glad to see the 3 of u 2gether again

No knock on Brian, but Bon was the man.

A great song about Vegas!
AC/DC with BON SCOTT. Always great with Bon. Was never the same without him. It is like taking JIM out of the DOORS.
AC/DC Born in Sydney Australia in 1973 ,R I P Bon Scott February 1980 . , Lulu must listen to the Dirty Deeds Album from the mid 70's

Jovan Island
Chaz Burgs
Gislason Trail
On the sound machine, can you turn the night light off? I like it dark as possible when I sleep.
Yes you can turn it off.
Great show. Not sure why your patron picked this particular song to listen too though.
Bon scott was the boss. AC/DC had a different sound back then it seems.
And more of a edge to them.
I would really love for you to play and react to dance dance dance by Steve miller
This was AC/DC in their prime. Brian is a great singer but he will never have the stage presence that Bon brought. R.I.P. Bon and Malcolm
Sadly Bon died two months after this performance.

Nope. Not one of their big hits, but the album this came from, Powerage, was the best album they ever made.
i agree!!

Sadly Bon would be dead 2 months and 10 days after this was filmed.
Sin City wasn't a hit. The single from Powerage was Rock n' Roll Damnation, but I'm not sure that was popular either.
