In this setup, would you not have to turn off the console in order to connect the charger in the middle of a battery powered session? Wouldn't it be better to have the off state to one side of the switch?

I think a circuit to switch off the power to the display when the PS4 isn't powered (fan, USB, etc) would've been better
Yeah that does sound good. I'd be concerned about parasitic draw from the battery when console is on standby. Also the buck converter would still be on, unless I did some circuit before the buck.
That AC switch will go on fire there is a reason for DC switches.
its just 12V. LOL

@@tunebg maybe use power mosfet switch in parallel with that tiny switch. just use the switch to send signal to the mosfet

It seems like you’re just adding so many new components to get round a problem when you took away just one other component. Like you literally added so many things to make your battery work when you could have just had the power supply outside of the device like a laptop does
