"Swift and the actress Blake Lively wrote the treatment for the video, and then Blake directed it in her directorial debut. The video documents a wedding, with the wedding couple played by the actor Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry, who had been a friend of Swift's for years."
I don't think you are wrong about it being about Jake Gyllenhaal. This is from the Red vault. Red is about Jake. There is the scarf, and also the lyric about indie music festivals. Which parallels in We are Never Ever Getting Back Together: "And you would hide away and find your peace of mind with some Indie record that's much cooler than mine."
This was written for her 10:24 album red but she never released it. So when Taylor did her version she decided to include it this time. Thats why it was just two years.
😊 lol...there is a cameo of aaron dessner playing the guitar in the band at the wedding when everything starts to turn red! Just for a second or 2...but it is him...her brother Austin was the producer
Miles Teller and his wife are good friends of Taylor's. His wife in real life is the woman who played his wife in this video. Blake Lively is one of Taylor's best friends. Blake's daughters are James, Betty and Ines who are the names of the characters in Taylor's Trilogy on Folklore.
Keileigh and Miles Teller, Taylor and Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are all really great friends in real life. Taylor’s girls nights out usually always include both Keileigh and Blake. She has a fantastic group of good friends who are very supportive, nice and honest people. ❤ Ryan appears in the “You Need to Calm Down” video. 😉 Ryan and Blake’s real children’s names are the characters’ names from “Betty”, “Cardigan” and “August” in the love triangle on Folklore. Their names are Betty, James and Inez. James’ sweet little baby voice can be heard at the beginning of “Gorgeous”. Taylor absolutely loves them and their children. ❤
No, you’re def right. Also, Blake, Miles and his wife (who was the bride in this video) are all BFF with Taylor! So, that explains why they are in this. Also, all of Taylor’s videos are epic productions. lol.
Hey great to see you back! Or perhaps I'm glad your video has been suggested to me again, I haven't seen you in a while but your face and reactions are a sight for sore eyes!
Thank you, Laurie, for this. The sarcastic tone in Taylor Swift's voice and the tune is a delightful combination. The cinematography is beautiful. There are plenty of easter eggs in this one. Yes, the scarf 🧣 pins it to Jake -- good memory Nick. There's so many sarcastic and cutting lyrics that a lyric video would have been a good choice to react to too. You probably would have been pausing a lot more with a lyric video, but that's fine by me. It's easy to miss the "You laughed at my dreams Rolled your eyes at my jokes". This seems to be a particularly biting memory, because in her relationship recovery song "Begin Again", she sings "And you throw your head back laughing like a little kid I think it's strange that you think I'm funny, 'cause he never did". From this plus its other lyrics, "Begin Again" seems to be a recovery song after her relationships with John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal. I'm glad you pointed out Chris Stapleton's singing, because I'm so focused on Taylor's and the visuals that Chris' often sneaks by me. Final comment, yes, Taylor Swift looks really good in red...she looks really good in every color...and in everything from a dress to a skirt to a suit to a t-shirt! 🤯 ✌️
Great to see you do another Taylor reaction! IT'S BEEN A WHILE! This video makes me giggle every time... she's such a goofball. 🫶💯 I hope all is well with you, Nick. 👋
Loved the reaction to this creative & fun video from the Red album vault tracts. For the next reaction I have a few recommendations, you’ve done Exile but until you do The Long Pond sessions video version you really haven’t heard the song at its best. The Long Pond version is stunning (same for This is Me Trying). To appreciate Taylor the complete architect of her own vision The Man is not only a great song but the first video 100% written and directed by Taylor. There was a lot of co-directing before it and the visions we always hers but The Man was all her and started her on the path to masterpieces like the All To Well short film and the movie she will be directing.
I'm pretty sure this is about Connor Kennedy, she dated him for a hot minute and he would be the only ex that grew up in a "silver spoon gated community" and would fit all the irony in the song. Her description of Jake Gyllenhaal in ATW is a lot more "home-y" and romanticised (a little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed).
I also thought this one was about him, the upper class circles fit so well too. The things mentioned in the song sounds like old monney rich, not just rich.
i think you're right about Jake lol🤣 love seeing Aaron Dessner-band member at the end. It is a song from the re-record of Red, so yes some country vibe in there. Great reaction! Definitely a funny video!
Jake G and his circles back then when Taylor wrote this (RED album) were known for being "Brooklyn Broke" aka wealthy people acting like they are struggling and having an attitude of thinking they are better and more sophisticated than everyone else. And that is what she is criticizing in this song. Not the money, but their arrogance and attitiude towards other people and looking down on other people.
Seems right . Back then both he and his sister Maggie were among the coolest indie actors. They were on a huge pedestal among the Sundance and Spirit Awards crowd.
I know everything turning to Red is probably just because it’s on the Red-TV, but I’m wondering if the Swiftie know if the video was filmed after the notorious Red Wedding episode of Game of Thrones?
It's Jake, This, We are never, ever getting back together and All too well are the Jake trilogy. You should check out out the Joe Jonas trilogy. Mr. Perfectly fine, Last Kiss and Forever and Always. The best is the John Mayer songs The Story of Us and Dear John.

Aha! Glad I was on the right track
Red Album was country pop before 1989 which was all pop. This was the test case to see if how people would react to her pop sound
Thanks for that info. Love both sounds

Perfection

Both Keleigh (Sperry) Teller and Blake Lively were with Taylor at most of the Chief's games the year.
Taylor is friend both Miles (and his wife) and Blake and Ryan.
Ah! Makes sense =)
She is a billionaire now well done Taylor.😅😅
lol well said

Ahhhh makes much more sense now!
Yep, u got it. Shade on J Gyllenhaal 🤘
Aha yes!
Hey great to see you back! Or perhaps I'm glad your video has been suggested to me again, I haven't seen you in a while but your face and reactions are a sight for sore eyes!
i always love seeing people react to this song lol
Thank you, Laurie, for this.

✌️
The is a vault track from Red that she re-recoded for the Red album Taylor's Version. The scarf is from the All To Well song...defintely Jake G..
Great to see you do another Taylor reaction! IT'S BEEN A WHILE! This video makes me giggle every time... she's such a goofball. 🫶💯 I hope all is well with you, Nick. 👋

The bride & groom is Miles Teller and his wife
I agree with the things you said in this video ❤
she is very good friends with Miles and his wife along with Blake.
It is about Jake G. Great reaction.
Thank you Violet!

Aha okay, thanks for the insight
Seems right . Back then both he and his sister Maggie were among the coolest indie actors. They were on a huge pedestal among the Sundance and Spirit Awards crowd.
I love the red color
Nick please react to Taylor Swift " Out of the woods" live from the 1989 tour. Will give you a good look at her live in a stadium.
Love your take and you are right. Loved the song and video just wish we could of heard Chris Stapleton more
You’re actually correct. It is about Jake (allegedly, she has never nor she will ever confirm nor deny anything, but we know it’s about him)
It’s 💯 about Jake but remember Taylor’s version is a re-recording of older albums and songs
I know everything turning to Red is probably just because it’s on the Red-TV, but I’m wondering if the Swiftie know if the video was filmed after the notorious Red Wedding episode of Game of Thrones?
Miles and her are friends and she's best friends with his wife also

@stardustmelody2709 you forgot " would've, could've, should've " for John Mayer. ❤
You've forgotten "The Moment I Knew" is another Jake song. Mind, there are many others off Red that could quite easily be construed as Jake-centric.
Great reaction - thank you! You should try the music video for Say Something by Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton; it’s brilliant. :)
Tayler and Blake are best friends
It’s about Jake
TAY MY BODY SLIME AND SMALL
Its 100% about Jake. The organic shoes, indie concerts are a dead giveaway. 🧣
