- Exposed and exhausted: things are getting worse on Ukraine’s eastern front as Russian troops advance and airstrikes pummel cities- especially Ukraine’s second-biggest, Kharkiv. Air campaigns are knocking out Ukrainian energy facilities, and Ukraine’s top military commander is warning the situation in the east has “deteriorated significantly”. Two hours north of Kyiv in Chernihiv, the death toll rises again from Russian missiles. Ukraine is calling for more help from the West - more aid from the United States, and better protection. As Russia intensifies its airstrikes campaign, we’re asking: How to strengthen Ukraine's air defenses?

The gentleman in the TV screen says it is unrealistic to think Ukraine can reclaim what it has lost. So the narrative has changed.
The TV military expert guy, they barely asked him anything, even though he seemed to be the most knowledgeable, realistic and sober.
The Ukrainian woman seemed to be happy just to be there: lots of smiles (despite the topic) and she had a positive message here and there because she didn't want to be pessimistic. She was given the most of the screen time.
The young expert guy was a positive pleaser person: yes, the situation is dire, he said and kind of laughed, and then he proceeded with "but I don't want to depress the viewers too much" but on the "positive note" it's costly for Russia too, he quipped.
So overall, the program was a gentle narrative changer: yes, things are bad, but don't think about that too much, let's chat, feel good and be positive.
The TV expert is from Austria. That country is quite much pro-ruzzia. They say they are "neutral", but spread the putler point of view

@@atariukass1 These are lands that have been majority Russian for hundreds of years. These are also lands that voted for independence and voted to join Russia. So it obviously isn't Ukraine anymore and the Ukrainians haven't been able to beat the Russians. They have lowered the conscription age because they cannot find 500,000 recruits aged 27+. Yes, there are men in that age group who are not in the army because they are exempt for various reasons.
Ukraine themselves have done the sums and made this decision.
I will be very surprised if Ukraine 🇺🇦 makes it by June or July this year.
