Quick explanation: Up until last month , this video (Part 2) was going to be about 40 minutes long and cover all 35+ years worth of updates/changes to Spaceship Earth, all while jumping back to also cover the original Bradbury ideas and how they manifested in each of the different versions of the ride. The plan was to have it completed by the end of March as well.
However, as I got closer to that deadline, it became more obvious that the original cut of the video was way too and confusing, especially since it jumped around so much between all the different versions/years. So I decided to split the two up, and devote this installment to the Bradbury concepts specifically and have the next part covering the changes outside of that. Just in the interest of keeping things (somewhat) easy to follow.
All this is to say that Part 3 is already (mostly) completed, and will be out shortly. This wont be another case of waiting 9 months for the next part. Thank you all again for your patience and hope you enjoy the video(s).

So off topic...my daughter and I both have covid she's been so grumpy from the fever and cough and exhausted. I put this video on and she slowly falls asleep. She woke up a few hours later and I put another one of your videos on and she said in her cute little four year old way "I like his voice it's nice" thank you for the small amount of comfort you have given to her.

Given how many TH-cam channels there are covering theme park history I’ve always considered this channel one of the best, and it’s honestly shameful how lower quality channels are promoted way more than yours.
Really hope you start uploading again soon, as the amount of work you put into your videos always shows.
I simply don't get why this channel doesn't have more subscribers you put out as much information as several other channels on similar subjects and it'd a shame that this doesn't get more exposure.
I liked the 94-06 version best for the nicer ending but did love the detail on the Cronkite version of stuff from the artwork/ancient theater to all the TV/radio clips used.
One highlight of the old Birnbaum guidebooks was detailing which clips used when you only glimpsed them for a few moments.

I thought Spaceship Earth WAS Epcot for an embarrassingly long time. I only saw it in person when I was maybe 3 or 4 and remembered it being the size of a skyscraper. I was an adult before I realized it was much smaller than I remember and only one part of the park.
According to Walt's early sketches, you weren't wrong! It was all going to be in that dome to begin with iirc

I was so amazed by all of EPCOT as a kid. I left inspired and curious every time. I wanted to learn everything about everything! It definitely doesn’t hit my kids the same way today. Not sure if it’s the changes in the park, or because there’s not a ton of new science & tech for the kids of today to look forward to. The science of tomorrow has changed from exploring new horizons to worrying about undoing all the damage of previous generations and making the planet livable in the future. Not very uplifting stuff to make a theme park rides about.
Anyway, the videos are great! Loved learning about the original script for Spaceship Earth.

Meanwhile in 2021, they've been taught narcissism, selfishness, entitlement and a severe hatred for their own country to the point they're burning it down much to the delight of their countries enemies. Oh Ray, if only it had turned out as you ( and we ) all hoped. He lived across the street from my elementary school and occasionally came to visit a class or two. Meeting Ray was always a great treat, but I'm also grateful he never had to see 2020.

Peter Cullen has never narrated Spaceship Earth. The voice you're referring to is Walter Cronkite, who was lead anchor for CBS Evening News from 1962 to 1980. He was the one who broke the news to the nation that JFK had been assassinated.
