I work in the social care system and because of that, I have to face with a lot of horrible things. There is a war in our neighborhood, and our country provides passage for many people fleeing to the West. They educate us and develop a protocol for us so that we can help people at risk of human trafficking. So I sympathize much with your concerns and thank you for creating this wonderful film. I am grateful that you are here for us, fighting against oppression and evil power. I am so proud of you, and I wish you much strength, Michael dear.
Thanks for sharing... watched the film online; the compassion shown in it touched my heart...thanks for the sincerity. Hoping the best for you. Great job directing I wouldn't have known that the cast were not professional actors.
I CANT BELIEVE that this is STILL going on years later and no one has even made an effort to step in yet :( Very brave of you to speak out and continually inform the public about what is going on in China...EXCELLENT MOVIE TOO!
Thank you kindly! Your concern and attention to this ongoing atrocity is much appreciated. Indeed, Governments, business and media, as mentioned in the interview have been ignoring this mass scale persecution for personal interests, mostly monetary concerns. Unfortunately organ harvesting has since been discovered to be happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China as well, an almost inconceivable barbarity. Please share with others. endtransplantabuse.org
It's really sad that this persecution still goes on,and the lack of reporting on it by the Media does give the false sense that it is no longer going on.As in so many cases of crimes against Humanity, the old saying "Evil wins when good people say nothing"rings true.I admire you,Michael, for standing up for what you believe in and speaking for those who can not speak for themselves.
Sorry for the very late reply, Misty. I don't get notifications for comments as a couple videos had too many and flooded my inbox. You're welcome and thank you for your concern dear!
I was finally able to watch "Sandstorm" last night and I have to say it was one of the most touching and heart wrenching films I have ever seen. Lili Li's performance was both moving and haunting and I felt literally sick hearing her scream and when her character died. I also applaud you Michael for delivering the message of how wrong this immature persecution is through the perspective of the police officer's deserved guilt. That was artistic genius. I think the high schools in both America and Canada should be showing your movie to students while educating them about organ harvesting and the continual evils of communism, in either an assembly or a class. All of us should approach our local schools and talk to the teachers about that. I plan on doing so. I hope you make a sequel to "Sandstorm" that as you said, concentrates more intensely on the outrageous torture used on these gentle Falun Gong practioners. The tears shed for them should fill an ocean until an upper hand finally destroys the communist Chinese government once and for all. They deserve no less. In the meantime, we all thank you for using your talents to try to help them. Stay strong and take care.
Thank you for your kind, thoughtful and insightful thoughts as well as your encouragement, Amber! Thank you also for sharing about the film and persecution with others that is greatly appreciated by many. 🙏
I'm not good at English, so I can hardly understand the content of the video. But there is something to think about China. It may not be possible to organize 1.4 billion people in the usual way. However, watching China's response to the new coronavirus, I was fed up with excessive centralization of power and constant information hiding and media manipulation. China should soon realize that it will only give information that is convenient to them and that it will no longer be feasible to twist the opponent with force. Japan is one of China's closest neighbors and has a strong financial connection, so it is a very painful question how to deal with such a powerful neighbor.
Thank you for your comment. The problem is not the population. The problem is the Chinese communist regime. The large number of people in China are not the reason why the communist regime barbarically persecutes the Chinese people. It is better for Japan and all countries to start moving away from doing business in China. Japan is starting to do that now and that is a very good thing! 👍
Thank you for replying to my comment. The situation in the world has changed again since I wrote my previous comment. China does not hide its territorial ambitions in the South China Sea these days and continues to expand its policy toward Japan's Senkaku Islands. Human rights violations continue, putting pressure on African countries and the Philippines to be on their side. European countries that have noticed the threat of the Communist Party of China seem to have begun to reassess their China policy since Corona. Population, as you say, is not the reason for persecution. Continued relations with China will indirectly help China's human rights abuses and powerful expansion policies. So I agree that Japan should work with its allies, such as the United States, to prevent China from being dispatched.
@@まんたんみゆき thank you. Yes the Chinese communist regime has major control in the South China Sea now because the Obama administration shockingly did nothing as they watched the regime build military islands in that sea. This has changed everything in that area. Yes, hopefully the EU is finally waking up in regards to the CCP but I am not convinced of that yet. The UK has taken significant steps against the CCP now and it took Boris Johnson almost dying from the CCP Virus to wake up.

Thank you! It should indeed! Cheers!

I am trying to find where I can watch the movie on my laptop and not order the DVD?
Thank you for your interest. I am trying to get some info now on the possibility of Sandstorm streaming online. Cheers!
Michael Mahonen thank you
