Such a nice build, but the grille on these cars and other non RS cars was "Argent" silver, not black. Black was used on RS cars, except those painted black. A simple can of paint would've fixed that easy.
@vernhoke7730, I noticed that issue too & it irritates the hell out of me. I honestly can't comprehend how such an important feature could be overlooked or ignored. Another aspect that rubs me raw is when they re-built & re-upholstered the seats, they didn't take a few minutes to paint the rusty seat-frames & springs. At the very least, they shoulda' used a couple rattle-cans of Rust-Oleum. It woulda' been quick, easy, inexpensive & done the much needed task right. BUT...the team ignored the issue & recovered the rusty seat frames. !!!!UUUUGGGH!!!! 😕 Best regards from Yucatan Mexico, Ben
@@AutoYoung I understand your point...BUT...the 427 is a "deep-breathing" engine. At the 1/8 mile point, it's just beginning to come alive. When it has more miles & time to work-out any issues, they NEED to allow that engine to do what it's designed & built to do. 🙂 Hopefully, they'll do a few follow-up shows featuring this AWESOME COPO '69 Camaro Tribute screaming down the 1/4...with "someone" who actually knows how to launch & drive this beast. After all the time & money invested in this build, it would be criminal to simply end the story here. Best regards from Yucatan Mexico, Ben
I’m thinking in 1969. They was a lot of bad ass, hot rods that rolled off the factory floor.
Great tips...
What are you guys doing with the car when you are done , selling?
👍
Drop the tire pressure in the rear..
I will never understand why they do close ups of welding
Why?

Who does 8th mile drags?
People who live in places without a 1/4 mile track or people who just like 1/8 mile racing…
