They added the benelux to france because belgium has more interesting and unique vechiles to add in the future. For example: ACEC Cobra(90 & 25), Leopard 3105, CATI 90, FN 4RM, SIBMAS, Sabiex HIFV, M41 LCTS 90 and AIV df90. These are all vechiles unique to belgium. And if we're allowed to dream a bit, the boxer mgs is also likely to be added since the chassis is Dutch-german and the turret is belgian. Belgium also operated the CF-100 and Had the cool prototypes for the renard r.36/r.37/r.38. And if you google John-cockerill turrets you'll see that they mounted it on everything. tldr: Belgium has more interesting groundvechiles than the netherlands and that's why the benelux is with france.

I really want the low tier stuff like the M39 Pantserwagen & Pantserwagen M-36 & M-38 armored cars, and the variant of the YP-408 APC with the TOW launcher for the Netherlands. As for Belgium, the only one I could realistically see Gaijin added is the T-13 tank destroyer because of the 47 mm Model 1931 AT gun.

The IFV RCT30 (PuBo) variant of the boxer that the Dutch Army's 13th Light Brigade is getting according to the latest news, would be a viable Dutch version. As it is just our Boxers fitted with the turret of the German Puma IFV (Hence PuBo; Puma Boxer).
for the leopard 1 Belgium actually had the best version, the leopard 1A5BE with a home made fire control system (better than the original) and thermals + the DF30 and DF90 are really good vehicule for 9.0-10.0 ish brs not to mention all the prototype cockerill made
i really don't know what Gaijin was thinking with the Benelux tech tree, it just seems to me like band aid fix. "OH you don't preform to well? how about another leo2 for that win rate!" it really kills the enjoyment of playing against other nations if you just face your own stuff over and over again, also grinding other nations becomes boring since you get to play America light or Sweden light at low or top tier.
Funny thing is, France currently has the second highest winrate in the game at top tier, and yet (according to leaks) the BeNeLux is getting the leo 2a4, 2a6 AND the 2a5 as well. I fully agree that facing your own vehicles the entire time is very tiring. And I think would pretty much be fixed if they just brought back historical matchmaking like they had in the past, but removed for no reason. Giving you a huge research discount for copied vehicles you have already researched would be a huge help as well.
French here, yeah many french players are equaly bothered by the dutch comming to france and not the swiss instead ( gaijin wtf???) but ig it might be a strategy by gaijin to make the french tech tree more appealing to non french players.

Another commenter just pointed out that Belgium does in fact have a nice amount un unique vehicles, so Gaijin could have very easily just given France a Belgium sub tree and Germany a Dutch one. But instead they're taking the no-effort route and adding everything to France. They've also started to give Germany Swiss vehicles, just to add instult to injury
Belgium have the Leopard 1 with the cockerill 3015 too ! and the 1a5BE without the MEXAS who have a round equivalent to the dm63 105mm (btw great video)
I'd heard of the cockerill leo before as it was in a leak list some time back, but TheEuropeanCanadian already had a video on it, so I didn't really feel like including it, but maybe I should've. They could also add the regular 1a5BE, but I think the variant WITH MEXAS would be more interesting. Thanks for the comment though!
I completely skipped that one as in the fan made tech tree it didn't look very interesting (you can't see it has two barrels from the sideview), but after looking it up I completely agree that thing should be in the game!

sub trees are such a bad suggestion gaijin doesn't have the motivation or creativity for it. Also not being able to make paper vehicles a reality really hinders the unique but also useful vehicles. Ill tell you what will be in the sub tree. It will be a line of copy paste vehicles so enjoy it.
I agree. Sub trees _might_ work for certain countries, but not for militaries as big as the BeNeLux. I'm not sure how I feel about paper vehicles tbh. On one hand you would have a lot more unique vehicles, but you'll probably end up like WoT with a bunch of made up monstrosities and like 3 actually historical vehicles driving around. Definitly expecting a lot of copy pasta stuff though, hope we get something interesting.

Goes to France Switzerland, a country where 1/3 of the population speaks French, was never controlled by Germany, and with a relatively independent design streak but has at least cooperated slightly with France slightly and used AMX-13 Chassis in several Air defense system designs that could fit between 6.0 and 8.7 and that could add more than a few vehicles to the 9.7-12.0 massive gap France has? Goes to Germany
As a Swiss: Kindly leave Switzerland out of the French TT. Thank you. The BeNeLux is a region that is usually lumped together for some reason, while it is unfortunate that the Netherlands was added to France by proxy, Belgium is a close partner to France. Not only that but if the BeNeLux would be added to Germany, people would complain that the German TT wouldn't be getting any of the regional Leo variants while getting access to more French and British vehicles. Giving the BeNeLux to France is the best option as now France has access to Leos as well as some British ifvs used by Belgium. We both know that when Switzerland would be added none of the original designs are going to be added beyond the Panzer 58 line and maybe one or two ifvs as is tradition by now. The only truly unique sub tree added has been S. Africa which happens to be the first. All others have been excuses to port copy pasted vehicles to a new tree and maybe add 1 or 2 unique designs.

The Sabiex HIFV is not Belgian, it's from UAE. It's an OF-40 Mk. 2 hull with a BMP-3 turret on it.
