I would probably use vegetable oil in the cake mix, over olive oil, which tends to have a flavor to it.

Love you Mary!! Little tip- check the ingredients on the cake mix though bc a lot still contain milk (pretty sure pilsbury does) and you can sub applesauce for the eggs/ oil!

Just a tip for the cake - you usually want vegetable oil not olive oil as olive oil has a very strong taste whereas vegetable oil is much more neutral
Try unsweetened applesauce with the cake mix to substitute egg! 😊

my fav vegan hack is getting the duncan hines cake mixes (most are plant based friendly) and then just mixing the cake mix with 1 can of sprite and baking it and it literally turns out perf every time :)

Oh no not the olive oil in the cake mix! use a neutral oil next time :)
Try replacing your eggs with applesauce and use oat milk instead of water... it makes the cake taste more homemade. Water and oil are also super unhealthy with this box mixes.
