I love how he IS naturally charming, but not in the way you’d expect. He’s a crotchety, self deprecating dude and I love him.

In about 2002,Hugh Grant appeared on BBC Breakfast.
Hugh is obviously not a morning person.
He was monumentally, but incredibly politely, curmudgeonly.
It was a sight to see.
Sadly, I've never seen any video of it anywhere.

This is definitely the golden age for Hugh Grant’s acting career! I like that he’s an unashamed grump and that just adds to his genuine charm.

I love Hugh Grant for being so absolutely unique in the acting world. I couldn't think of any other actor bringing the same kind of authenticity, wit, charm, weirdness and darkness to the table. His interviews always make my day.

I am surprised anyone approaches Hugh Grant at all. I walked right past him a couple of weeks ago right in the middle of Hyde Park and he had the biggest scowl you can imagine, like he hated the world. I believe he put it on on purpose so that people would leave him alone, it made me chuckle for the rest of my afternoon 😂😂😂

One of my fondest memories is seeing Bridget Jones Diary with my mother in law who was the most amazingly fun woman to be with and her nickname for Hugh Grant at that time was "ol Blinky". The movie was fun because I saw it with her, and he was in it, but my favorite Hugh Grant film of all time has to be Lair of the White Worm! So proud of my daughter who is now an adult and loves Lair of the White Worm and even got a cool t-shirt to wear about town with a graphic of the villainess spitting venom onto the crucifix scene, as one does. So is two generations of ladies who like that movie a lot, even creepier than the guys who do? You decide!

It's definitely not the first time we see Hugh in a villainous role. What about Undoing, Cloud Atlas, granted he wasn't a murderer in but still pretty much a sleazebag in A Very English Scandal, The Gentlemen, heck even Bridget Jones...

It's been quite a while since I've last seen the cult classic, The Lair of the White Worm. Friends would get together to watch this silly movie because we loved how cheesy it was. Going watch it later today and reminisce on the good old days with my friends who have all gone their separate ways.

So he considers one of his first films, Maurice, nonsense? Book by E.M. Forrester, produced by the Ivory Merchant team, it’s a spectacular commentary on Edwardian values and society. For shame Hugh, just because it’s a gay love triangle. James Wilby and Rufus Sewell starred as the other two lovers. Notable gents as well.
