Director of photography: Sam Qweder IG @ samer.qwedr96
Starring: Walter Rodriguez, John C. Johnson
Technical support: Eddy Mukabel

Walter Rodriguez had impressive acting. Also, some of those car driving shots were awesome!
Agreed! Walter is the best!
A huge detail that a lot of people never caught was the fact that this dude served in the military, he wears his watch on the opposite side of his wrist which is common in a military sence because as your holding a rifle you don't need to rotate your wrist to check the time, this dude was in the military, kicked back out into the world without a job and without a lot of money, clearly got a job doing something illegal, probably killing people or something to do with it as it made use of his skills from the military and is pretty easy money to him. The watch being on the opposite side of his wrist, him being desensitized to the killing on TV and him not showing much emotion is proof of all this
Avoid glare or glint, protect the face and sure, easier to read at the ready. Nurses do it too, btw. How do we know he isn’t an underpaid nurse who’s become desensitized to violence from working in an ER?
I’m thinking he was a nurse. Maybe a nurse in the military? 🤷♂️
😂😂😂😂 Sou do Brasil e achei seu comentário muito bom kkkkk 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
loved this. with my dream car too
love the 80s vibes
Lately I've been watching various short films on TH-cam to take some lessons and inspiration. I am amazed by the hardwork and creativity y'all have put into this.
Keep growing ✨️
Thank you so much for that man 🙏🏻
If you have any questions, feel free to give me a dm and I hope I can help 🙏🏻
I find it hilarious that I knew exactly what he was watching maybe in just 2 seconds

Radio ON! 🙂 dig
sooo gooodddd 🔥
Awesome!
Awesome work!
Dope and inspiring!
Solid all around! I love the green neon kicker in the payphone scene. The final shot was great - the smile alone completed the character arc. Can I ask what you did to achieve this look (filters, picture profiles, LUTs)? I just got and FX3 and am trying to learn it better. Thanks again, and great job!
No filters, and just playing with lights and sets. I would recommend just looking up great color grading videos. You will eventually find the style you like. Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask any other questions 🙏🏻
@@ninthcirclefilms do you have any recs for color grading channels?? trying to get better at davinci
Love it 😍
Sehr schöne Bilder. Der Clip ist sehr harmonisch.👍😃
SICK!!!
Beautiful
Music is on point, very enaging too. Well done.
This is fucking amazing...fantastic shots, great music, awesome grading. You guys really know what you're doing when it comes to conveying a story with shots...my only criticism would be that the shot at 1:51 is badly stabilised, it's such a great shot and I feel like the warp stabiliser made it overwhelming to look at. Also the autofocus in a couple of those ending shots are distracting as the background lights are breathing! Apart from these - it's spectacular and I loved it.
🔥🔥🔥 Part 2?
👀👀
okay!
these cinematic shot gives me a vibe from that movie called "Drive"
Thought I was watching a Michael Mann film. Well done.

which specs did you used?

Thanks in advance!!
This is awesome
Thank you 🙌🏻
Hello, it's very good quality, what is the lenses that you used for this short film ?
Very good acting, cinematography, use of colors/lighting however I feel like there could be more dialogue. Good job
I personally thought the lack of dialogue made it more intriguing. I’m still watching because I’m trying to figure out what happened.
nice the color grading is there
nice
Thank you 🙏🏻
I asked myself if you record evry sequence again with an microphone like the door closing sound or you walking toward the car…do you record that all and place it in the cutting process under the right place cause this is veerry detailing work and i love that🙏🤝
So wide shots are very difficult with sound, we had to record each one individually. Hope that helps! 🙏🏻
Очень классно по художественному !!!
amazing , can i ask you what lens are you using rn ?
Amazing I like it ❤
I'm glad you like it! Thank you!
Really pushed everything out of the cam. Love the first shot but also the green accents. keep it going!
Damn this was dope
Thank you!
Good job seriously it inspired me
Thats why we do it! Thank you! 🙏🏻

Haha 1.0 minuts, Man thats epic!
is Real cool
I'd love to do sound design on a future project of yours. I'm a beginner trying to get a lot of experience in 🙏
Give me a dm!
Is the music you used copyright free? Can I use it?
Make more please. :)
Thank you man 🙏🏻 will do
What frame rate did you use? 24p or 30p?
24p 🙏🏻
lens?
Is it shoot in sony FX3 OMG 😱 wht resolution if you used
how are phone calls scenes filmed? like is the person on the other line during filming? I can never find any information on this. Please let me know. Thank you.
Not necessarily, they just have a script that they use. They can actually have the other guy record his lines separately then they join it into a convo in editing
@@BeagleFocusEmpire so on one scene the actor is just reacting to what the person is saying even though it's filmed in another scene or voice over? and what about the timing of it though? because you don't want the actor reacting too long when the person on the phone is done? This is what confuses me as I'm trying to film a scene like this
@@crazycool905 The timing is done by the editor or sound designer..voice 2 is edited just after the actor stops speaking..
Because the voice on the other side of the line is sometimes pre recorded.
@@BeagleFocusEmpire now I understand. Thank you so much. This is going to help me in my short film. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain to me
@@crazycool905 Welcome, I wish you all the best with your short film!
Is it fine if I recreat this I am just starting in this field really do not know much would be awesome if I can just try shooting this short!
Of course 🙏🏻 good luck, let us know if you have any questions!
how do you use the songs? dont you get copyright strikes?
Nope, as long we dont make any profit! 🙏🏻
Nice work what camera did you use
It was a Sony FX3

My favorite comment! Thank you man 🙏🏻
Fontana?
Representing 🙏🏻
you need to be a affilate for the camera you need affikate link to make commission
Appreciate it! We will definitely look into that! 🙏🏻
Every single gangster movie ever, but it's a good ending, because protagonist is not a dumbass for once
Looks great, color on point, vibes are dope but... remember story is king. What was the inciting incident? That he didn't have food to eat? How did this motivate him to quit his job? To me it does the opposite. Just being critical, looked amazing, but I didn't take much of anything away from the story. Just seemed like a big montage of some cool random shots to me.
Obviously he has no time to himself and his (illegal) job is doing more damage than good
not bad but all shot have different "grade" different wb look at 5s and 1:18
still looks kinda digital to me.. great filming tho.
Would make for a good AI generated short
lenses? thx
nice
