I miss Monk so much, it is literally the only show I can keep rewatching and never get tired of. He plays the role better than any other actor playing any other 'iconic' role. Him being Monk is like RDJ being Iron Man. They ARE that person, and will forever be loved and missed!!

My son and myself are "Monk-ophiles" ! This serie televisee in France , is our "happy moment of the day ... Even, we we saw every episods , there is always, a littlle moment we rediscovered ! Tony shaloub is a really great actor and all the comedians too ! The screenplay and procuction is amazing ! BRAVO On vous adore !!

Monk and Sharona were the best team! I am a HUGE Monk fan. He's so awesome. I cried when the show came to an end. Thank God for Netflix!

Tony is his real name. I llike him better than columbo. Our generation. This is o c d. Columbo was just glass eyed 70s qwaurk. Iwas7 or 5 yrs old.but in.they both aggrivate the cast crew. They both qwirky nutty. Monk is a hit.

His insecurities about doing the role justice made him nail it even better. His comedic timing is perfect for the character of Monk. He did a brilliant job. All his awards & recognition are well deserved. We in the bay area have a special place in our hearts for him too. 💖
While it's hard to imagine anyone else playing Adrian Monk, the role was originally created with Michael Richards in mind. He declined the role because he didn't think it offered enough comedic possibilities. While I can see Richards doing some of the slapsticky stuff like reacting to a bee in the car in "Mr. Monk Bumps His Head," I can't see him doing the other nuances that Shalhoub brought to the character. And I thought he was hysterical.
On the other hand, I can not imagine other people playing "Kramer" in "Seifeld". Tony Shalhoub and Michael Richard both definitely immortalize the characters they played.
I still LOVE that show!! And this actor did A GREAT JOB PLAYING "MONK."
1 of my favorite shows of all time. And i'm so glad it was great from start to finish. Alot of shows don't have a good memerable final season. So many start to go downhill and they try to get people watching again by adding more sex and violence, or change the fomula too much out of desperation. The final 2 part episode of Monk had all the emotions going while keeping everything that was great about the show.

I missed it first time round but recently bought the DVD collection. Wow! It's one of the best series ever. Tony Shalhoub is absolutely incredible as Monk! I'm almost at the end of Season 6, and I have a feeling that I'm going to watch it all over again as soon as I finish Season 8. Like the theme song says, "It's amazing"!

And I liked Monk and Natalie best. Except with Sharona, Monk took some chances in saving her that he didn't take with natalie. The scene in the sewer and the circus elephant. I guess I liked all his shows.

But I've wondered since that episode why they killed off their little upstairs neighbor. He added a little dimension to the show. He was the only one who Monk really got annoyed with. . If anybody knows please answer
