    I made this yesterday..but with ham and cheese , my mash I put oregano in , vinegar ,butter ,salt and pepper , and some egg to help bind it , I thought about making one mixed with grated plantain .... It probably would be so good

      This is my third time that I’ll be making these using your recipe. And so far every time it’s been incredibly delicious. I followed your recipe to the letter. Thanks for sharing.♥️

    Never use a vegetable peeler to remove the skin from Yuca, even a sturdy vegetable peeler is laborsome and time consuming.The proper way to do it is cut off the ends as he did in the video and then using the tip of the knife cut a straight line down the middle of the Yuca lengthwise, then holding the yuca in thge palm of your free hand, put the sharp edge of the blade into the cut line and start to pry the peel/bark off the yuca, it comes off completely whole leaving absolutely nothing on the white part. You peel it as you would bark off of a young tree, lifting the peel/bark from around each piece as you rotate it like a cylinder (like unrolling a paper towel from the roll) IT'S SUPER EASY & QUICK!

    Totally gonna do this recipe! I'm intrigued with the yucca dough! I wonder how this compares to a flour egg mixture.

      Hope you like it! The yuca dough really is a different beast. Something about the starches, that makes it hold together really well. If you really want to push the limits, throw the yuca in a blender and blend it for a bit. After a while it forms this really spongy dough, that's got a real unique consistency. It's got potential 🤣

    • @JeffandJosPuertoRicanKitchen
      @JeffandJosPuertoRicanKitchen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't tried it with frozen yuca, but think it would be fine. Just probably need to cook it longer.

      @@JeffandJosPuertoRicanKitchen yes, frozen Yuca is really good, just make sure they are defrosted before cooking, Goya has the best frozen Yuca.

    I make rellenos de papa without flour. I just cook the potatoes to soften a bit (not much). I figure they'll finish cookiing in the oil. 😁🤣

      Thanks for sharing Jacqueline! That's a great idea for making the rellenos de papa, I'll have to give that a try! 😊 What else do you add to the potatoes? Just salt and seasoning?
