Absolutely disgusting, I would never permit this.

Dog: Figures out differential calculus on kitchen floor using only kibble crumbs and some shed hairs...
    Human: Films it vertically.

This is why I don't eat from everyone's kitchen. Hannah Danielle would have one time to act like that in my kitchen😭😭

Would you beat her and take her to the pound?

Looks like if you had cabinet and drawer locks, she wouldn't be able to get on the counter....

It looks as if you're there holding the camera. Does this dog do this right in front of you?

The owner permits it. Notice the drawers tied together with cloth for the dogs to pull on to open the drawers. Watching this makes me CRINGE! Can't stand badly behaved dogs.

I’m fairly sure the drawers were tied so the dog couldn’t open them and use them as stairs. She can clearly open the drawers unaided, as you see at the end. As someone who has sparred intellectually with a genius dog of my own, it’s a trade off between practicality and victory. You can put child locks on all the drawers, and child locks on the door handles, and make the stools and chairs hard to move around the kitchen … but who wants to live like that. The fact is, if you love having your dog around but don’t want to live in Fort Knox, smart dogs tend to win a war of attrition.

Sorry but these dogs would be crated or fostered to another home. Ridiculous. I’m having a similar problem but haven’t figured out the culprit of my two. Don’t have video set up. Was thinking of buying these mats for our sofa. Thinking it’s our new rescue as my first rescue didn’t chew my christmad tree ornaments off the tree to shreds last year. And I’m getting ready to do crating, the scar mats, or re-homing for the new rescue. Not worth my home or my marriage.

Rescues have baggage. If you don't have the time or the patience maybe adopt/buy puppies instead and train them how you want. Rescues take patience and time. You just don't dump them elsewhere when they no longer work for you...

Kellie Morris The mats work. This dog hasn't been stopped from doing this. This pet owner has a problem.

Should have considered everything before rescuing the dog. It’s not fair to them that your an incompetent owner. Maybe get a fish next time.

May you just shouldn't rescue ANY dogs or cats, or mammals in general. Hopefully your kids are perfect; god help them if they aren't.

Have had dogs for about 30 years. They need to cohabit with my wife and me. These dogs are not doing their part. If they do not learn the easy way that they do not set the rules but we do, and they haven't, they will learn the hard way. I am sure the owners have tried the easier ways. The dogs and others won't like the my much firmer ways, but too bad. Electrified door handles, electrified mats or whatever it takes will get their attention and will get the dogs to learn that certain things like jumping on counters and/or opening drawers/cupboards are not acceptable.
