Hey I need your help please? I just purchased a fx6 from my largest tank what is the best way to start it on the tank so I don't cause my tank to crash. I do have some seated media but I am not sure which way I to start it.

Jerry Dixon hey mate no probs. If you have filters set on the tank already I wouldn’t worry and just set it up. Your other filters and tank decorations wood / rocks will be covered in good bacteria. So just put it on it will be fine . If you are really worried you can get some filter starter. NT labs do a really good one I have used it before mate hope this helps. You will love the fx6 they are the beat filters by far👍🏻.

I had 8 over a decade ago that I grew from 1" to 22" to 28". That took all of 9 or 10 months and they were far from being full grown. They grew so fast that they out grew and ended up eating my 6 WC festaes. The festeas were 6" to 7" when they were gobbled up.
